Hi Guys,
Please clarify this for me, is dual recording a hardware limitation for our device or is it just software limitation?
I'm really frustraded that i didn't find any phone that had this feature ported, or any 3d party software in play store for that matter which leds me to believe that this is a hardware limitation for phones that were not launched with this feature.
Would really love to have this cool feature.
Why our caméra is bad
is it a hardware faut or software

that`s a software/firmware limitation
Lg only released that feature on LG G Pro after the S4 from samsung was released
Let`s hope in a future update(if there will be one) LG implement it on G

Wrong. Optimus g pro got it first. There was even a silly little sue from LG.

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to rip the tiny Google Now app from the Optimus G as well as their QuickMemo integration. I am guessing the QuickMemo might be bound to the OS though, just like so many Sense features are for HTC.
On that note do any Devs know if it is possible to port LG ROMs to Hercules or is this pretty much impossible like with Sense?

So, Koreans are getting the candy again. LG has released Optimus GK with pretty much everything we dreamt of for Optimus G.
1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor
2GB RAM
16GB internal + MicroSD slot
5-inch full HD IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution
13-megapixel rear camera
2-megapixel front-facing camera
Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
3100mAh battery
Only thing missing is Android 4.2.2, but surely that comes. So who wants this new beauty? I sure do!
it's the optimus pro lol

G Pro has 5,5 display.
Looks uglier than the OG to be honest...

It's the pro in 5" packing pretty much, but not pro ^^
Edit: well, it seems to be the docomo version of pro, so we were both half right, anyways I hope this is released international.
docomo pro is L-04E
Me thinks this version is what LG will present to AT&T on may 1st, not 5.5" version but 5" version. It's pretty obvious, SGalaxy S4 must have an concurrent
Just about to take Optimus G.
But, Optimus Gk announcement puts a wait for my next phone.
3000+ battery and 5inch FullHD is a Biggest Plus.
But only thing missing from this GK will be back design of Optimus G.
Optimus GK is more of a copy from Optimus G Pro. But, Optimus G has a nice clean boxy design.
Optimus GK is having a curved back design, like G Pro.
I will wait for GK International availability.

One thing I know for sure, if you'll wait for intenational GK you'll not get it. Cause when it will be presented LG will unveil in Korea Optimus G2 with specs sky high, starting with Snap800 SoC, 2 or maybe 3Gig RAM, OLED 5,2" matrix and all other goodies. So you'll end up waiting till G2 come internationally, it will be around November. Needless to say that the newest flagship will be announced to come by Christmas...
I'm buying G Pro, let others wait
GK is small version of G pro lol.
They even looks same except the size. I mean same ugly
i think GK stands for lg optimus GK ,K for (korea)
I have checked LG OPTIMUS GK with cpu-z and it shown Snapdgragon S4pro not Snapdragon 600 as their spect. Have any one check it?
I thought the GK is the Japan version of G Pro? Could not remember where I read this..

No its not.
Its a modified version of regular G or G pro, some kind of mix, pretty ugly by the way.

they should have followed the G design instead
Hi
I'm looking to buy an LG G Pad 8.3, but I first want to know some things. I currently have an iPad 4th generation, but I want to switch to android. I plan on rooting it and installing custom roms and such, but I am still considering if I should buy a nexus 7 or a G Pad. I think the Nexus 7 dev. community is bigger, but In my opinion the screen is just a little bit too small, so I am considering the G Pad. Really the rom I tend to use is Cyanogenmod, and I saw there is an official build for the G Pad. I just need to know: is it possible to COMPLETELY UNROOT the G Pad for warranty purposes? Unlike for example KNOX on samsung devices? Does the G Pad have a root flag or something like that and if so, is it resettable? That is really the only thing holding me of of buying one.
Thanks in advance

Yeah, I saw that tread, but will unrooting that way fully revert warranty? There are no root flags or flash counters left behind (if there are any)?

gpad doesnt have a flash counter like samsung's devices, so all you have to do is either use lg mobile support tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370) or flash tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2543350) to revert back to full stock, both rom and recovery
If you want to go to stock rom you can and is easy with lg app for desktop.I done this allready once from twrp and cm11. After that on stock firmware I was able to upgrade from 50010a to 50010b version without any prob. Apart from that I suspect that same files left on my tablet from cm11 and twrp wich are not used but will show to a tehnician if my tablet was rooted (this are only my suspicions, I do not have same evidence on this), I do not am very familiarized with the android structure and fikes on internal memory .

Hy guys,
I have some questions.
I love my LG Optimus G.
Switched from the LG Gpro back to the G because the G is much better.
But i thought there would come some more official updates.
If you look inside our G the specs are nearly the same like the new phones.
If you oc a bit and play with kernel.
The G is better then Gpro and OG2 for shure.
But where are the new firmwares?
Is no cool dev out there who can port a new G4 rom?
Is that not possible?
I treyd the new cm and aosp roms but they are not really stable for me.
It would be great if someone could make a LAST Super Cool LG Rom.
Maybe we could find some nice devs???

Note: As a long time lurker who never posts my response is not just to your post but to other lurkers who may be less knowledgeable.
What MasterFURQAN said! I appreciate LG's proprietary overlay for Jellybean and Kitkat as well but wanted my still quality hardware to have more current software.
The last LG based firmware which I used until about three weeks ago was Sling Kahroba. It is based on the last official LG version of Android for our device which was not released in America. I am not a developer or ROM porter but I imagine the significant hardware differences like much higher screen resolution, fingerprint reader, camera resolution, ROM size etc make porting from an essentially unrelated platform (CPU, GPU, Camera libs) too complicated.
You do not specify what Optimus G model you have but my American version (E970) is running fine with Nitrogen M 6.0.1 (Jan 25 build) with the E970 kernel flashed after. I am not much of a gamer and can't quote Antutu scores but it is stable and fully functional with one small camera related exception. The fine focus on print within a 18 inches or so is not quite there and I use another free camera app, not Google's, because it is more stable in video mode.
I skipped Lollipop and tried other Marshmallow ROMs in this forum but Nitrogen seems to work best for me now.
I used e975, nitrogen works fine for me too. I didn't find big issue with and this rom updated continuously. I am very happy that my old phone can have android 6.0. Even the new phone that I bought for my wife and daughter still in kitkat and lollipop..

It's been over a year mi pad released, today GOOGLE released android N but mi pad is still running on kitkat.
Considering the hardware part it is a very good handset, but coming to sofware part it is laging far behind.
With the latest SOFTWARE (or) OS this device will perform far better than nexus tablets.
I think xiaomi will never update mi pad.
Can we expect any support from RemixOs for mi pad?
i remember that xiaomi said more than 1 time that MIUI is a moded kitkat OS maybe that why there is no update; you may look in there website I suppose
