Just preodered !! was looking for this from a longtime !!
I was suppose to get mine in June. Still no product and they might even send mine because they ran out of orange and black. Still very upset.

I backed this, so hopefully should see it soonish. It seems they're having some production/quality issues.
Ooh, this is some competitive pricing. Gonna keep my eye on this and I'll preorder it as soon as my paycheck gets deposited

If you in USA/CA, get your PayPal debit card (with MasterCard logo) and use it as a "credit card" (you also will get a PayPal protection for transactions).
Thanks sensboston for this info! I just got a Nexus 7 so this reader looks good plus I can use it with my S4.
tsuperspnic, what kind of issues are they having? Is it not working as claimed?

I'm using another micro OTG reader from eBay. ( the one from link) .I can access 64 GB cards with StickMount and the additional fuse files. You need those for exFAT access which is required for 64GB and higher (SDXC cards). Or you can format the card with an third party utility in FAT32, if you wish and don't need exFAT access, but have the file size limitations of FAT32.

You should read the thread then.... the title is about a fail, but not the rest.
Wouldn't you want to learn more about what fails? I guess not.
look for a card with a good class rating of 6 or 10 and comes with a good warranty 5+ years.
16gb seem to have a lower failure rate
i have this one, works fine

You hardly go wrong with Patriot or Corsair SD Cards, i've been through many memories from them and i've never had a single problem from them two.
Kingston is a bit of a gamble...but for the most part they make good stuff.

I dropped a class 4 16gb into mine, I just couldn't resist a $14 dollar sd card
where did you get that deal?
Bout 2 weeks ago I went into one of the local phone stores, they had an open box memory card with a $14 dollar price tag on it that said it was 4gb memory card. I didn't argue the price, cuz the card clearly said 16gb
So I inserted my 32GB class10 Patriot into my phone. It detected the card for 5secs, and then said card removed. I tried moving the card around, but nothing. Also tried rebooting the phone.
T_T
EDIT: Kept sliding it around and my phone detects it now, although the format option is greyed out.
EDIT2: no go. After putting the cover back on, it says card removed.

All that seems to be legit. What do you think ?
Yep that is it. I saw other screenshots as well and it was running 4.2 Jelly Bean (not key lime pie~)
Dissapointed by the lack of MicroSD card slot, may actually put me off this, its complete BS to be honest, especially with the price of SD cards at the moment. On the other hand the screen seems like a winner and its plain android which means support for years to come.
This will come down to price for me. I'll be really annoyed if there is a massive difference between the 16 and 32 gig versions, without the microsd card slot this will need 32gig minimum IMO in order to be reasonably future proof.
As things stand Google may be about to loose a sale over the MicroSd card ommision, if it had one i'd almost definately get this assuming the price wasnt stupidly high.

Read this: http://www.androidcentral.com/why-nexus-devices-have-no-sd-card
If you're disappointed by a Nexus device not having micro SD support, then I'm assuming you're not very familiar with the Nexus program and Google's stance on micro SD cards... its not like this is the first Nexus to not offer micro SD support, so it isn't a shocker. It would have been more of a surprise if it did offer support.
There are plenty of OEMs that do offer that functionality, this is the beauty of Android... consumer choice. This will not be the only 10 inch tablet with similar specs to come to market.

I'd like to see Google allow SD cards, even if it's only as media storage. I understand what they're doing, but tablets could really make good use of expandable storage.
As I mentioned in another thread, the phone UI seems like it will be extremely uncomfortable on a 10" tablet. Rather than having a conveniently thumb adjacent set of navigation buttons you have to juggle the device.
While I wasn't considering acquiring a tablet, the N7 did tempt me. Maybe Google will surprise me when they announce it, but at this point in time I'm not really interested.

I use sandisk ultra 64gb hdxc class 10 that was on my s3, then note 2, and now it's in my s4. The only issue I had in the beginning was trying to format it to work with the s3. It was a windows XP/7 issue with formatting cards so I had to use this method. You may have to do this with any 64gb cards you buy in particular if you are going to use custom recovery like TWRP or CWM. So far so good on the card.
I also have a samsung although its only 32gb class 10 and have no issue with. Either brands I think you will be fine.

I've had my Samsung micro sd 32gb class 10 for about a year now... Not a single issue with it.
Samsung Class 10 16 or 32GB. The one to use is generally for professional/SLR cameras. Silver packaging, has some exclusive whatever printed on it. When you buy the premium SD cards, you're buying memory that is of higher quality standards & giving a much more thorough test, and better speed rates. Well worth the extra $
