Hello,
Right now I am having MIUI 3.7.5 with BaseBand i747UCDLK3 with KT747 Kernel. I am moving back to stock to sell my phone to the buyer. It has TWRP Installed and binary counters triggered. So, what I need to do reset the binary counters and reflash the stock?
I have downloaded the Samsung-Updates.com-SGH-I747_ATT_1_20121116120521_7p9l4qgqoh from this link
How to flash to stock with ODIN and reset the counter???
Any warnings and cautions?
Just an observation, why not let the buyer decide if they would like the phone already rooted with the custom rom or if they would want it stock, reverting is easy and you'll need triangle away from the play store to reset the counter, which you can do even on the custom rom, and the easiest way to refresh to stock is with mskip's galaxy s3 toolkit it walks you through the steps and has Odin built into it so it launches it for you with clear instructions how to proceed

Hey guys, I know there are a few stock images floating around that can bring you back to stock, but I wanted to put down the steps I used to get back to stock with 0 flash counter.
Just in case you need to return it for warranty work and you've flashed or rooted. This is kind of a beginner's guide to going back to stock untouched.
--Doing this is your own responsibility and I offer nothing but what is in this post.
1. Use Odin to flash the stock rom. Found here -teshxx
2. Now use Chainfire's root without different recovery. Found here -Chainfire
3. Now install triangle away via the play store or apk found at Chainfire's thread and use it. Here -Chainfire
4. Finally Odin again with the stock rom found at step 1.
The idea is that booting with a non stock recovery will trip the flash counter. Also, running a rooted rom will register "Modified" with tmobile touchwiz.
This way you can reset the flash counter and it won't be tripped by a non-stock recovery. Then remove the "Modified" device flag by going back to stock.
I know the faster way to do this would be to catch the reboot after triangle away, but if you can do that, I assume you already are pretty proficient at going back for warranty work.
Also, if and when a stock root injected odin rom becomes available, this tutorial will be pointless.
In my days with the s3, even after using odin to go back to fully stock like in step 4, sometimes it woukd still show modified until I ran a factory reset.
Hello all,
is there any way i can go back to unrooted stock and clear my Flash counter?
I havent been able to find a stock recovery/stock rom to flash
Thanks all

Get the galaxy toolkit from the original galaxy note section. Multi-options available. Chainfire has a flash counter reset on the market also if that is the direction your heading

Triangle Away should be able to clear your counter.
Dev threads have instructions on unrooting and going back to stock.
I recently rooted my S3 and am running frostys basic jelly bean Rom. I've installed CWM and checked my flash counter and its at 0 and I want to keep it that way. So do I need to go back to stock jelly bean through Odin then flash the new Rom that I want to try?

After the 4.1 update samsung updated their bootloader. I completely wiped my phone and it still is tripping the flash counter ever time you boot to recovery. Even after wiping everything. Even if you flashed stock ICS, after you flash your Recovery of choice through Odin you are going to trip the counter.
I am in the process of writing a guide to get back to Complete stock with a zero flash counter.
The point is, you are going to trip your counter. Dont panic, it is 100 percent resetable.

I downloaded Rom Manager off the play store and flashed the recovery through Rom Manager and I've gone into recovery countless times and my flash counter still says zero. I just got the phone Friday and it came pre-loaded with JB. You said you trip the counter every time you enter recovery? Weird!
Edit - I followed the guide from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33115777 but I installed the ICS version first then flashed to frostys all while not tripping the counter.

I think that is the only wildcard. I flashed my recovery from Odin on my computer. Reset it via Triangle Away, booted back to recovery, and it tripped it. I remember reading that if you use Rom Manager then it doesnt. Im not sure why or why not but yes if you Odin recovery then you trip flash counter with each boot to recovery.
I have done much testing/goofing around. And no matter what scenario you are in, it is always able to flash back to stock 4.1.1 with a zero flash counter.

So then since I've gotten the wildcard does that mean I'm free to flash whatever rom I'd like without ever tripping the counter?

I just purchased a Nexus 4 from google play (super excited), and I now need to restore my S3 to stock in order to sell it to make up the difference. I am hoping to flash the stock rom via Odin using the S3 toolkit, which is what I normally do. I'm just worried it'll trip my flash counter. Is there anything I should be worried about having a tripped flash counter(in terms of OTA)? I know Kies won't let you update without a clean flash counter. I'm just looking for the quickest way to get to stock without it ever looking like i was rooted. Help?
If the flash counter is zero right now, just Odin stock image. Otherwise, use TriangleAway then Odin stock image.
I need to return my Galaxy S4 (radio version MDL) to 100% stock. How can I do that?
The first thing I should have done was to back up my stock image, but I didn't do that. Whoops.
I found the stock image available for download here in these threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267895
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258628
However, how do I restore the original recovery image, which I have replaced with a custom recovery? I have not found any threads with the original recovery image available for download. Is that part of the stock image file too? If so, what is the heimdall command flag for flashing? "--RECOVERY"?
Also, I believe that I need to use Triangle Away to completely restore the flash counter:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
Did I miss anything?
When you flash the stock roms it overwrites the custom recovery.

As mentioned, Stock image has stock recovery.
It also changes the Custom description in Settings to Normal or whatever stock says.
Triangle Away resets counter but you must be rooted.
Be sure to check counter and Settings to make sure everything is reset to stock prior to returning device.
Thanks for the info. When I am finished with my recovery, I will update my post above with detailed instructions.
The only thing I need now is md5 hashes on the downloads so that I can verify they are correct. Unfortunately, those posts above of the stock rom did not include the hashes.
If you rooted via chain fire method then install triangle away to flash your counter back to zero. Then open up superuser and do a full unroot. I think only chainfire superuser has this option.
