Hi,
I apologise with you for my English xD. I bought this product one month ago and I have seen that the phone, when switch to the edge mode, have the soft touch back key that stuck and make the phone unusable. I've tried to switch firmware from base (portougal) to German without any result. Also randomly the network cut off or go in emergency mode (I've changed two micro sim). How can I do to resolve these issues? The new France firmware can resolve? It's a good decision to send the phone in guarantee or can I install a cooked rom to try?
Thanks at all

Hi bro... I think you need to perform Factory reset .
Setting> Backup and reset> Factory reset.
It seems to me pure Software issue..
Hipe it solves your problem.

I have had an issue for 2 months now searching high and low to find out how to fix my bad or no service. I would have service for 3min then boom, nothing for 30min. I flashed a ROM (don't remember which one caused the issue) and instantly had bad reception. I tried everything to fix. I've odin back to 4.1.1 tried new modems. Nothing worked. Then I came across how to do a hard restore (same method as network unlocking)
YOU WILL LOOSE ALL DATA. SAVE TO EXT-SDCARD IF YOU WANT TO SAVE ANYTHING. You might have to downgrade to 4.1.1 first. Thats what I did.
!!WARNING SETTINGS CHANGED IN 197328640 MODE DO NO RESET ON HARD RESET THESE SETTING STAY WITH THE PHONE YOU MIGHT GET THINGS BACK TO NORMAL BY USING *2767*3855# - Full Reset (Caution every stored data will be deleted.)!!
dial this number on your phone *2767*3855# and it will factory reset
Hope this help some out
Thanx

What phone do you have, and what did you do to screw it up. Did you flash wrong modem, or something else ?

Two days ago I turned off my GNex and as I turned it on and tried to turn on the WiFi, it get stuck with the writing "turning WiFi on" and the WiFi "button" blocked (I can't turn it neither off nor on).
I tried to reboot several times but the phone is stuck with this problem since the moment I turn it on.
I never modded anything with my Gnex, never changed ROM or kernel, so I found this problem quite strange.
Does anyone knows how to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance

so i assume you are completely stock. hard reset should fix the issue. i have seen this before on other phones and the hard reset seems to fix the issue.

Check the system logs i.e. 'logcat', 'kmsg' to check if something's wrong with the hardware.

Your next step, if factory reset doesn't solve it, is to reflash factory images. It will wipe your device's entire memory. Step-by-step instructions here.
I'll try to flash a factory image asap, thanks
Wifi switch Grayed out
My Sprint Galaxy Nexus is presently on 4.2.1 and has been facing wifi issues. The Wifi button/switch/toggle under the settings options has "Grayed OUT" and wouldn't allow me "ON it".
This happened after I downloaded an app from google play. However after which i removed the same by unistalling it and have been facing this wifi issue since then.
I did a Factory Reset but WIFI remains "Grayed OUT". Can some one guide me to solve this issue.
Thx in Advance

Just read the thread (and linked threads). The troubleshooting steps are the same for you. No need to hijack the thread (you didn't even mention which app that was, for example, you only need to press thanks and follow our lead).
P.S: I honestly don't care if anyone presses thanks or not.
I just brought it to the assistance and they changed the wifi module

That's good, glad to hear it. Have you grabbed the logs from kernel/system, back when it was not working?
If you did get them, now we have a "template" of what the kernel and system report when it finds this kind of failure.
Hey everybody,
i actually have the problem, that the wifi connection will turn off after the display is off for a while - reconnects when turning the display back again.
The advanced wifi settings are set to "wifi off in standby: never" and also the powersaving sattings are set to "normal".
So normally the wifi connection shall stay on while the display is off - but she doesn't.
Any hints? Any solution?
Firmware is the B111 and a factory reset was done after upgrading ...
PS: Excuse the maybe wrong spelled menu entries - my phone is set to german language.
Hi,
Maybe have you a soft installed like Juice defender or Green power?

Nope - i don't.
Just the pure stock ROM with the default powermanagement.
I just flashed the leaked B114 preliminary ROM - we will see if the problem is fixed
It's a bug of the first ROM-Versions... had the same since B104... need a hard-reset to fix this. Now i'm on B111 after hard-reset and everything is fine.
Just to clarify: Hard reset means a factory reset initiatet from the normal menu? This was done after the update to B111.
The B114 still shows the problem. (no factory reset after updating from B111 to B114)

I seem to have the same bug and when my WiFi is on it disappears like in nowhere, then I have to turn off and turn on WiFi again ...
I always do a hard reset after every new update (ROM).
Bug is in the B114 Rom too. I use Wi-Fi Matic, I hope so...

I have a AT&T S III on Android 4.3 Stock.
I keep getting "your internet connection is unstable" on my WiFi & anywhere I can get a WiFi signal. The signal strength is full and the issue still persists. I have tried wiping the cache partition, clearing the app cache on WiFi Direct and WiFi Direct share. Also unchecked "Auto Network Switch" in WiFi settings.
Any help would be appreciated.
BTW. I am using a Netgear R7000 Wireless router at home.
I don't know what a solution to this problem is but when I first got my S3 back in August it did that for about a month then just stopped and I never saw it again. In March I had a warranty exchange because my screen went black and the new one started doing it, too. Again, it did it for about a month, then it just stopped. have you recently replaced it or done a factory reset? Just an idea. Sorry I couldn't be of more help for a direct solution.
Hi evertbody?
Its possible to downgrade from 4.3 to 4.1.1 in the i747?

I had that too, and I think the easy fix is when the notification pop's up saying "go to settings.....blah blah......" Hit the don't ask again radio button, then OK. When I did that it never showed up again. Hope this helps.

Yes you can downgrade with Samsung Kies. I don't have the exact directions but Google it you will find directions.
It depends on your bootloader. If you are on mjb then no you cannot downgrade and risk bricking your device if you try. If you are on mj2 then downgrade away.
