Using CM10.2 with gapps 20130813
Only categories show, and search doesnt work.
I've completely cleared all data, reverted to stock OS, rerooted and reinstalled twrp, tried different Google Accounts, cleared cache, everything i could think of.

Since you have had this problem with multiple ROMs I'm going to guess.... User error?
Did you wipe system, data and caches before installing?

FC's 2wk after fresh install

The last few months I've been experiencing an issue where I'll install a new rom after wiping data, cache, and dalvik with everything running smoothly and them after two weeks I get constant FCs. Happened after CM 7, gingerbread debloated, and sky raider. Would formatting the device solve the issue or is that overkill?

Format everything in the mounts and storage menu in recovery except sdcard and emmc. Also wipe dalvik cache from the advanved menu. It is a good idea to do this before installing any rom or before restoring a nandroid backup.
It could also be a certain app your using that is messing things up. What exactly fc's is it certain apps all the time or just a bunch of different apps randomly?

Jedi Knight, Jedi Mind tricks problem

Not sure what's going on but whenever I install these I'm getting low internal storage warnings. I wipe system, data, cache, dalvik 3x on TWRP. Any Ideas? It's only happening on these 2 roms for some reason.

I ended up fixing it. For some reason just on these roms and the new TWRP i have to wipe factory data right after installing and everything works perfectly
Glad you got it fixed was having the same issue because I didn't listen with one of the steps (go figure) but after a reflash and following that works awesome now.

Flashing Google apps on top of old Google maps.

I tried flashing the newest version of gapps (4.1.2) on top of old gapps (4.1.1) but it doesn't seem to stick. I tried to swipe away individual messages in Gmail but got nothing. I'm running the latest cm10 nightly
Is it possible to get the new Google apps (4.1.2) on cm10? I'll do a clean flash if it's actually possible

I've only ever tried to install gapps on a fresh flash, not sure about flashing over top of an existing install although unless the .apk is named differently it SHOULD overwrite the existing. You can always try deleting the gmail .apk from /system/app and reflashing.

I tried a clean flash and it didn't seem to work. Restored to previous.
Can you confirm you can swipe messages in Gmail?

Thats affirmative. Have you tried clearing the data and cache from the settings>app menu?
Try clearing cache and delvik cache than installing the new gapps. After it is installed clear cache and delvik cache again and reboot. This is the process I use when I'm not doing a full wipe.

Aokp Google voice force closing

I got the rom AOKP and when I try to open Google voice it force closes please help I have tried everything and read online and can't figure it out

I would. Go into twrp.
Wipe system.
Flash ROM
Flash gapps
Flash any addons you may have (optional)
This should fix your issue.
If not you may be using the wrong gapps.
Just wiping system and then reflashing the same ROM with gapps will not wipe anything. It will act like you never wiped or flash. The second you wipe data or factory reset. Etc. It will lose installed apps. Or data. Or if you wipe data media you will wipe everything. But just invade always back up photos before reflashing.
Another option is to force uninstall via titanium back up Google now. And then installing it from scratch.

[Q] Hyperdrive RLS14 Issue

I am currently running Hyperdrive RLS14, it is running smooth and fast. The only issue I have come across is with the voices services. Google Now and S-Voice keep crashing. I have tried everything my n00b mind can think of. i have redownloaded and check the md5. I have done a complete wipe 3x. I have tried and wiped the dalvick and normal cache. Of course I have rebooted between all the wipes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. As well as wiping the app data. Does anyone have anyother ideas I might be overlooking?
By complete wipe do you mean System, Data, Dalvik Cache, Cache, and Factory Reset ?
Yes I have done all that multiple times and at every possible step.

I just did a search on the Rom thread. Apparently it's a reported issue on the Rom. I would keep an eye on the thread, to see when it's corrected.
