Alright guys here what's going on.
First I just want to say thanks in advance for any and all suggestions or rods on this matter second I have been doing independent searches for over a week now to try and get this working.
Ok. My Google now cards will not... Will not update at all when using my phone. The only time it will predict my interests and come up with suggestions for things I've searched for is if I use internet explorer on my desktop. Which doesn't make sense to me since that uses bing as its agent. Not Google.
This is a problem for me because one Google now is useless to me since my wife is on the computer most of the time and I have no interests in what she searches for.
How do I get my cards to update based on my usage on my phone which is 99% of my usage.. It is so frustrating that none of my appointments or searches or packages or anything show up. Believe me all web access and history is checked and all options for notifications are checked. I have wiped all data and cleared all search history several times.
Anyone got Google now working the way it should or must I only use it for current weather and traffic to home?
Enable search history and you will slowly see useful updates.

I had flashed Task's AOKP Jelly Bean rom (Followed all instructions in OP) onto my phone and now I'm no longer able to sync my Google account, nor access Google Play. I know I'm receiving data via 4G LTE, since I can access websites from the browser and whatnot. I tried wiping and re-flashing, but the problem wasn't fixed. I even flashed my nandroid backup, and I'm still no longer able to sync my google account. Facebook doesn't even load the newsfeed anymore either.
I did notice, however, that if I connect to wifi, it'll let me access Google Play, as well as load Facebook. On the other hand, LTE doesn't let me access anything Google related via apps.
Anyone know what's going on?
Re-add Google Accounts
Have you tried removing the account and then re-add it?
Same here. Exactly the same scenario. I cam not access anything Google related unless I'm on WiFi. Even after nandroid back to stock

Yup, I've tried doing that as well. After removing the account, I can't add it again since it doesn't want to connect...
I'm having the same exact issue here. Glad it isn't just me

I'm glad it's not just me, too, haha.....
Anyway, I just restored back to unrooted stock via odin. Thought going back to stock would help, but nope. Maybe it has something to do with my Google account...
odin back to stock, did not worked for me either... still unable to access anything google related

No, just kept trying to get into the play store
Wow, works for me now. Maybe the network was congested or something. I live in Fayetteville, and there's a football game today.

Who's ready for some FL04?
First things first. We do NOT yet have permission from our source to release the full build.
We do have permission to post screenshots and our findings.
We're hoping to get permission to at least post the kernel and modem for everyone here shortly. If we get permission the kernel and modem will be found here.
If and when we do receive permission to release the full build it will also be posted here.
In the meantime we will try to test everything we can possibly think of and post the results here. We'll update as we find more.
Please feel free to ask questions! We'll answer all that we can (except for the, "Can you sneak me a copy early" question ).
Proceed to Post 2 for findings and Post 3 for screenshots.
Enjoy!
Findings so far:
Internal Storage still wiped...
A few system apps come as 4.1.2 but you are immediately prompted to update to 4.2.1 from the Play Store!
Connections Optimizer still defaults to on. For instructions on turning it off watch this video.
More testing to come!
I'm ready, although the deodexed FK23 with a couple of mods is running very nice for me..

Soons?
I read that ppl had many good experiences with fk23, I wonder if this means we are really close to an OTA

Yeah, other than data wiping, I don't know what else they could really fix. FK23 is extremely stable.
Just looking through the apps and it looks like a few system apps come as 4.1.2 but you are immediately prompted to update to 4.2.1 from the Play Store!

@tdunham Stock file browser now displays both External and Internal storage but still sorts funky. Upon closer inspection the default sort is by time with most recent at the top. There is now a sort option (don't remember if it was there previously) so you can change the sort to alphabetical and so forth. You also have the ability to change the directories for where it looks for images, video, music and documents.
Still haven't put ES on to test it out.

Not necessarily. A lot of times there will be multiple RDF's all around the same time because Samsung/Sprint are considering multiple builds for the OTA. It happened with FI25 and FI27 too. We already know that there are several potential candidates for OTA with FK23 and FI04 being on the list. Maybe FI07 is another?
My nexus 7 2013 that is completely stock has a microphone that isnt working. is there a way to test it to make sure its actually broken and not something software? i am on 4.3 and still waiting on 4.4 OTA (too lazy for adb sideload atm unless you think i should try). i have used google hangouts video chat and the other person couldnt hear a thing from my end, and then tapping google to use voice search the mic will not pick anything up.
wireless charging isnt working either, but unsure if it ever worked since i didnt try until i got my nexus 5.
asus RMA is a PITA to deal with. any thoughts or troubleshooting i can try?
Search play store, there are apps for that.
If you find it detective, you've to go for repair only..

ok so i bite the bullet and rooted my note 4, for the most part left everything alone. just wanted to do some minor tweaks. very happy with all the help/info i got from the site through the search. my question is what app do you guys run for hot-spot/wifi tethering. seen alot on here and google, but most post are 2013 or older and most of the old apps arent even active. i normally use pda-net. but i want a stand alone app for this, Thank you.
Galaxy tools, i uploaded the apk to dropbox. i got from the thread on galaxy tools. It is the easiest to get native built in hotspot to work, without issues.

Thanks just downloaded it.
Is anyone else noticing apps being installed on your device daily? I'm having about 1-2 apps per day the last 2 days installed... All games. One of them I wasn't aware of and I searched for it on Google and it said it was a Verizon app (I've already uninstalled it and don't remember the exact name). I just now uninstalled a casino game that wasn't there a couple hours ago.
Edit:. Go90 was one of the apps

I thought this was the DT Ignite. http://www.androidauthority.com/carriers-install-bloatware-without-permission-571052/
Disable it with package disabler or debloater tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-note-7/how-to/debloater-tool-t3444840
it's dt-ignite...you can disable it from the application settings

I got 4 apps with the last security update. They weren't system apps, thank god. This has been in the news, they are being paid to add them. To get real money they are going to have to be system apps. I could definitely see it happening.
yes this is insane!!
Strange!
DT Ignite is only supposed to install apps on a reset of the phone. I have never had it add anything to my phone. Nor any other Verizon phones I had.
See official statement from VZW here: https://9to5google.com/2016/05/09/verizon-dt-ignite-galaxy-s7-statement/
Maybe the app is freaking out. The good news is you can use the built in Application manager to disable it.
Thanks! DT Ignite was on there... its disabled now. Really upsets me VZ has the nerve to do this.
