well hiy every one !!! i have a trick i want to share . THIS trick you may know but only if you dont and it is only for stock firmweres of samsung i have tried so.
i have tried it on stock or modded GB and working great .
and tried it on stock jb 4.1.2 on the galaxy s2+ so have fun
1- open dialer
2- type *#9900#
3-choose (change debuge level )
4- well here by stock you will find it at low you have to change it to medium or high and personaly i prefer med. and high for heavy HD games . as you like (change it to med. for normal use )
5- save , close and restart .
6- enjoy
and remember this is working for only stock roms for all samsung galaxy and it will boost your game performance as well some multitasking
if you like please hit thanks it wont take from your time
Thanks for all SGW DEVOLPERS AND SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH
thanks for the tip. :good:

ur welcome
well still trying to know i am not a pro yet
but i think One of the goals of Fast Dormancy is to increase the battery life of a device, by limiting the amount of signaling between the phone and the cell network. But, when Fast Dormancy it is not enabled in the network and is enabled on the phone it ironically works the other way around, and actually drains more battery than before. i hope you got it
thanks, attached link explained everything about it.

shouldnt it be the other way round.
debugging is seeking for bugs in your phone.
if u set debug at highest priority, cpu has more work to do debugging.
set the lowest, free up cpu for other apps. right or wrong?
so should we leave it at low (default), correct me if i'm wrong.
btw, my antutu benchmark score is 7415.
stock rom gb 2.3.6, debug set at low.

so if i wasnt wrong the debugging mode fix errors faster: then more smooth performance ? i dont know just worked for me .

i dont feel any difference, tats why i leave debug at low setting.
my rom is completely stock GB 2.3.6, only mod is boost 3D graphic with AdrenoBooster V0.3.
it only works for GB, simple to install, didnt need to flash.
extract adreno_config.txt file from v0.3 zip, copy n paste to data/local/tmp. done. reboot.
boost 3D graphic from 2000 to 4000 score mark.
openGL ES 1.1 max 56 fps.
openGL ES 2.0 max 16 fps.

nope, same with latest 4.0.4
Much better now that it's rooted and setCPU profiles are enabled once again F180L owner.
I actually see a really nice improvement in battery life over 4.0.4. My wakelocks are now 1/4 of what they were. My problem is CPU related - cant get up (to 1.5 ghz... Throttled down to 1.1 almost all the time)
Emm, why do you need 1.5ghz?

I am so confused by this question
Because, like many other people, I bought this phone in part for its processing power. I could have saved a lot of money by getting a slower but uncrippled phone (even stock gingerbread on my Galaxy S was 'good enough' for basic tasks). And yes, I have noticed lags since the speed has been mostly capped at 1.1ghz. I dont expect there to be full speed all the time, but I'd like it to be as snappy as possible when I am doing light activities with it, like web browsing. Why would anybody be content to have a 30% reduction in their phone's capabilities?
UPDATE: the lags I was experiencing seem to have been softare related. They appear to have disappeared after a clean install of JB and manual install of all apps from play store

Oh yeah. What is draining your battery? Is it a specific application or just the OS? If its the OS you can install Better Battery Stats and take a look at your kernel wakelock statistics.
Something wrong with your unit, cause mine one doesnt lag at all even on 700mhz with 2 cores disabled.
Also on 1.1ghz its still most powerfull CPU on the market, but its your way.
I believe you can disable thermal protection in service menu.

Thanks for your advice to check the service menu in more depth but I didnt see the option there. I wouldnt really want to disable it if I could since it does have a use (I'd rather my battery didnt overheat and explode or something ).
Unlikely that there is something wrong with my unit. The lags arent choppy, per se, but more fractional delays that werent there before the upgrade to JB. I probably would not have said anything if I hadn't seen the phone's prior behaviour. And yes, it is my way - I like things to function as they were intended regardless of whether the current performance is "good enough". Lopping off the top multiplier almost entirely seems like a crude way to regulate the operation and temperature of the phone [.. but the new information below suggests that this isnt intentional...] . If I have to compromise at some level, I will gladly take this (nearly imperceptible) loss of function for the improved battery life I am seeing in this ROM.
Update: the weird frequencies I have been seeing have been reported by others using the same rom as me. It seems to be related to the kernel.
Here we go. Just installed setcpu to show you the service settings works. Also im able to set 100% brightness whenever i want.
I used to underclock cpu on ics, but someday ive realized LTE eats battery 10x times faster, so everything ive done with setcpu is kinda useless.
So i just dont care whats going on with cpu freq since it still lighting fast.
Also JB doesnt lag even on old 1ghz devices cause of triple buffer and forced vsync. I think you still should check your phone.
p.s. Latest F180K official rom

Thanks again for your advice, although that screenshot has nothing to do with the service settings and JB does lag quite a bit on older 1 Ghz devices, as I can attest by having JB running on my Samsung Galaxy S. I reinstalled JB as cleanly as possible and manually reinstalled all my usual apps from the play store and the lags seem to have disappeared. Maybe there was a problem with my recovery softare ? I edited my earlier post to reflect this, but the change in CPU frequency is still there.
As I was trying to say before, you and I are using different phones and different roms. It seems to be a recognized quirk with the rom I am using that while the phone is unplugged, the cpu frequency and screen brightness are very heavily regulated (cannot run @ 1.5 or full brightness even while phone is cool; goes away when the phone is plugged in). Please do not start telling me that 100% brightness is as unnecessary as 100% cpu frequency (I dont ever use 100%). I think you and I will just disagree on acceptable limitations of capabilities, even if I agree with you that they dont affect normal phone use at all. I see it as a mystery that needs solving.
And I am glad to hear that your phone works so well with the official rom . I could wait for official JB on the e973 but I'm impatient and Houstonn did a great job with the port.
So your phone's service menu doesnt have the High Temperature Property and the Thermal Daemon disable buttons?
You still can ask someone to disassemble korean version service menu to find the flags so you can use it on E973

So i have android version 4.2.2.
I'm running phone on franco Kernel 3.0.85 with Paranoidandroid Rom 3.56, Also i use app to OC my phone to 1,6ghz.
So everything is okay expect gaming , example when i play temple run 2 and i set on the best quality it will not run smooth you can see lags ingame and i think this phone should run it easily.
I was reading forum but i didn't found any solution for my problem, i tried to find busfreq_static with following informations :
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/busfreq_static
but there's no busfreq_static file when i enter to cpufreq directory , i use File Explorer just to check am i able to find busfreq_static file but i can't.
Any solution , any help would be much appreciated.

first, dont OC to 1.6!! the following may help you:
go to Settings and click on Developer Options and enable Force 4x MSAA. Multisample anti-aliasing (MSAA) is a technique used to improve image quality. Since the Gnex has a GPU capable of supporting MSAA. Keep in mind this will also cause your GPU to work harder and your device may get hotter and consume more power than normal. It’s also possible that all games may not support this.

I'ts not problem about OC , even if i set to 1,2ghz there are no changes , i just dont know what could be the problem , cuz the game runs smooth on other phone which is not good as this one , thats weird , im not controlling voltages , i didn't touch anything.

No , it didnt help. I already tried it before , but when i Force 4x MSAA it just makes game more lagy , maybe cuz of game , anyway i gave an example Temple Run 2 , but even other 3D games are laging , why shouldnt I OC to 1.6 , could brick phone or ?
It can blow up your cat. If it's the same with 1.2GHz... Why are you OC'ing? Go do some reading on voltage control and smartreflex on 4460.
Something tells me you're forgetting basics on how to OC on this device. If you don't supply enough voltage for all the cpu steps, device will stutter and lag, might even reboot.

first thing you need to do is disable SmartReflex® across the board, so that your user-defined voltages stick.
messing with voltages is very device-specific. increment voltage by small ammounts, stress-test and use the device for a while to make sure it's stable.
have you tried running those games while running Google's stock kernel?

Do you even know anything about ROMs and kernels?
When I said have you tested this on stock kernel, I meant, did you try this on stock ROM, but specified kernel because, it's like, common knowledge for someone who flashes ROMs, that custom ROMs devs often alter kernel (and ramdisk) to support features on their custom roms..
Have you for example tried reflashing PA, and just PA, nothing else? Does it lag then?
Have you for example tried fully reverting back to stock? (factory images)
Why is it that you just want your games not to lag, not even trying to gain a deeper understanding about what people are telling you.
Listen, this is the last time I'm saying this:
I told you to check your voltages, since you're OC'ing, and expecting SR to do the job for you.
Test by reflashing again PA, with no custom kernel.
Test by going back to stock, through fastboot/factory images.
Temple Run 2 on best quality lags in mine too.Probably it was designed for 1080p.Just keep the graphics a little lower, doesn't affect gameplay or quality

Tested on PAC Rom nightlies.
Adaway stops working after that and ads show up in several apps.
Speeds up system ui animations and everything seems to be smoother.
But no impact on benchmark scores.
Also, battery seems to drain faster.
Maybe it has a better effect on stock version..

ACTUALLY THE MOD IS MENT TO DECREASE BATTERY USAGE for me it doesnt drain
Ok tested on cm11 and well... Doesn't make much difference... Few tweaks it enables is decrease the animation speed to .5x in developer options.... And allow plurging of assets in performance
Apart from that it does apply some minfree tweaks but in neither the benchmarks nor in normal usage do I see a change...
So yea I can't say it helps much in cm based roms where we could tweak the performance settings anyway... Maybe good for stock roms
Thanks for the share anyway

Yup it will but not much..
And to be honest.. Don't go for benchmarks ..
its all done quite easily as these boosters basically set ur cpu to performance mode whenever a fullscreen app runs.... That's it... If you look into it ull see most oems do that as well.. So u always get better benchmarks on stock roms as compared to aosp based roms.

Flashed the golden edition now and it gives me +480 Antutu points.

Guys the performance boost(If you feel benchmarks only show you the performance) comes from an increase in I/O score. Can anyone check that. I used to use such scripts on my galaxy 3 which atleast to some degree made me think the lag was gone . I don't think our phone needs such scripts. Our phone is already the fastest it can be and it's the fastest any phone can get right now . It can only be improved on by having better android( like an improved kernel?). Our phone has 2 gigs of RAM and do you think we need a minfree scipt for that? lol . That's the reason no one makes "scripts" for top tier phones. And those who feel the performance has been boosted check the CPU score differences in antutu, not the overall score which includes I/O too.

And those who feel the performance has been boosted check the CPU score differences in antutu, not the overall score which includes I/O too.

We do need the scripts buddy for our phones with unstable and laggy custom roms though our phones are good they arent the BEST !THIS IS JUST A WAY TO MAKE IT BETTER.if you feel so try it on ur phone.i personally dont go and rely on benchmarks
i want to play MC5 in high settings but it lags like hell so is it possible to change our phones default resolution to 720p?
i tried a few apps avalible on Gplay but the screen looks all blurry & UI gets all messed up
also tried app settings from xposed but the resolution settings dosen't work only dpi changes
if anyone has a link to a guide or has any info regarding this your help is greatly appreciated
Have you tried running xposed module where you can set your CPU to set proglfipes for certain apps I'd try it with mc5 ... Set it to performance gov while mc5 is running.. Maybe that will help .. Mc4 gives me no issues

MC4 plays as smooth as butter for me too but MC5 is in a different league & its very resource hungry
i doubt changing gov's would do any good as phone goes into max perfomance when running a game anyways

hmm by default MC5 sets itself as medium settings for our phone which works ok for me too but the lagging starts when i set the graphic option to "better" in which i want to play this game[QRCODE][/QRCODE]
I would probably go as far to say that our device just isn't powerful enough for such a high demanding game..... Maybe if over clocking a bit was possible it might help but you might be stuck like chuck with the better graphics ordeal.... If you do come across a way to smooth things out let everyone know.

Have you tried maxing out gpu clockspeed to 400 mhz? That might help..
I have a copy of a test kernel that runs with ondemand only for CPU but you can over clock the GPU pretty high. I dont think its worth a shot though. Probably too demanding on our device

Cm based kernel

It runs like **** right now, the rendering resolution is set to 50% and stable 30 FPS is rarity.
our device is equiped with a decent enough cpu but the gpu sucks so dont get your hopes high ... did you try to reduce the resolution in the game launcher ?

Maybe it help...
Simple part :
First you can install magisk module like FDE.AI or NFS Injector or LKT (very good this one)
Medium :
Then You can try to overclock cpu and gpu with "kernel audiutor" for exemple. (GPU set to 745, governor on demand)
Hard Way :
Finally You can try to configure the app with "GLTools" (then disable MSAA, lower résolution...)
Good luck.

1. I've heard that A70 has problems with throttling too
2. In game launcher? I didn't see a single option regarding resultion in game launcher. Only in game itself and I lowered it to as much as I could.

i dont know about the throttling problem though during gaming my phone barely even gets hot ! compared to my s8 which has a beast of a gpu if you put it against the gpu in the a70 my s8 would get super hot during gaming
