Hi!
I have found another solution to resolve this problem.
You have to edit the file "local.prop" in this path /cust/YOURCARRIER/prop
In this file there is a string like this "ro.config.hw.security_volume=11", it's sufficient to delete this string (putting the # at the start of the string) and after a reboot, the volume will be good!
Tested on carrier WIND ITALIA

I think you have normal volume then? My carrier isnt listed too, and i've got perfect volume all the time. If your carrier is not listed, you dont have prop file, and you dont have that string, and you have nothing to remove
Not sure if it is so, but i think its.

I think it's correct.
But if your volume is low there are 2 possibility.
1)The system reads a "general" local.prop. In this case, you can to edit the local.prop in the folder /cust/channel/weurope or your country /prop
2)If the before solution isn't correct, then the system reads the local.prop of another carrier. I don't know which, you should try to modify the local.prop of all the carrier...
Let us know whether the first or the second solution worked

Found one thing:
After entering the app name in local.prop file leave one line blank at the bottom otherwise even if u save it, phone says no changes made... and apps u added in local.prop file won't be locked in memory.. Hope i helped.. :good:

when you create local.prop it already has the minimum permissions set (666).

It keeps your app's in memory all the time.
you can try it if your app's load slowly.
go to /data folder using any file explorer.
create a new file named 'local.prop'.
open it with text editor and add these lines :
sys.keep_app_1=com.android.contacts
sys.keep_app_2=com.android.mms
now save and reboot.
Thanks a lot!
Hope discussion in the main thread wil be over now.

Sd card?
May local.prop be on the sd card in the folder /mnt/sdcard/data ?
how do i create local.prop file.....can u tell me full steps and is data folder is on sdcard
Guys, the path is in the phone's memory. The / sign means the root of that file system.
To make it clear: if you put that file on the SD card the phone will EXPLODE .

Tried this, selected first option which i assume initates the scripts located within apk assets, this copies the recovery binary to /system/xbin/, also an updated
resources folder for CWM and lastly it copies install-recovery.sh to /system/etc/.
After this it appears to run said scripts.
The second option attempts to reboot the device into recovery however phone was unable to boot at all in the process.
Couldn't get it to power on at all. Fortunately holding Power, Volume + & Volume - saved my bs in this case, nearly had a heart attack otherwise. I had my /sdcard/dload/UPDATE.APP still so all recovered... And so did the phone.

I found this method in an another topic her on xda. What I did:
1. Rooted the phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390491
Used method 1 from the topic above.
2. Downloaded root explorer (not necessary, you can do it with other file browsers as well, but I like this one)
3. Go to /cust/"YOURCARRIER"/prop/local.prop and edit the file. Look for the line "ro.config.hw.security_volume=11" and make it inactive by putting a # at the start of the sting.
For the noobs out there: My girlfriends phone bought from hungarian vodafone. So I went /cust/vodafone/prop/local.prop then looked for the line a modified like this #ro.config.hw.security_volume=11.
4. Rebooted then enjoyed th BJ from my GF

vold.fstab is no longer used in 4.3. Instead, fstab.<device> is now unified. Check the contents of yours. Unfortunately, this means you'll have to unpack your boot.img, modify the ramdisk, repack and reflash.
Refer to http://source.android.com/devices/tech/storage/ although it doesn't provide nearly enough information in my opinion. I end up digging through sources for various devices.

Any Solution for increasing internal sd ram size ?
Are there any 3rd party programs which can do the task for me ? I dont want to unpack .img file and edit and then repack and reflash. Just too many variables that can go wrong ?

You can see if any of the kernel zips are using the "anykernel" method and modify the script to suit.
If you can't find one, you can download one of the zips from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2181820 and figure out how to adapt the relevant ramdisk patching section (look in tmp/otgmod.sh) to suit. It basically dumps the current boot.img, breaks it apart, mods the ramdisk, makes a new boot.img, and then flashes it. Strip out all the irrelevant parts and change the partitions to suit.
Has anyone found a way to do this in 4.4 yet, specifically CM11? Switching with the build.prop isn't working for me.

I don't follow your phone, but nonetheless, build.prop mods shouldn't have worked in 4.3.
Further, starting in 4.4, the external sdcard is also run through fuse. See http://source.android.com/devices/tech/storage/config-example.html specifically the last section: Emulated primary, physical secondary (like Xoom)
From there, you can understand what needs to be switched. Again, this requires modifying the ramdisk.
I don't know if there's some sort of hack that'd allow you to change a global variable from a child. Perhaps, an init.d script would work at the parent level? If so, you may be able to switch around EXTERNAL_STORAGE and SECONDARY_STORAGE that way. The paths will remain unchanged, but proper android apps should respect the env vars.
Hi
on Kitkat, the mounting are set in the fstab files which are inside the boot.img file.
To edit them, you should unpack the img file, edit the files, then repack it in order to flash it.
The way to unpack them depends on the device manufacturer. For MTK devices, it is here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587411&page=29
I did it successfully on my Cube tablet in 4.4.
For others, you should find the tools on the web...

Hi,
I know this thread is for Samsung, but I hope you can help me anyway.
I wanted to swap my storages, but so far I haven't found anything for Android 5.0.2..
I've got lollipop with Sense 7 and a rooted insertion Rom.
My question: How to swap the storages on lollipop? Also the build file?
I hope you can help me,
Greetings, Tobi
Hi guys, like you know xposed for Android 5 on our device break some system app like LGCover and LGWeather. This because the new Xposed use some binary built from the AOSP source that don't work with the above apks that contain an encrypted classes.dex ( AES128-CBC ).
Since decrypt that classes is quite impossible i started a different approach. So i looked inside the dalvik-cache where all the dex built by the compiler are stored.
Theese classes contains also the original classes.dex code.
example: /data/dalvik-cache/arm/[email protected] @....dex
Structure:
USELESS CODE
CLASSES.DEX ( that start with the magic dex.035 )
USELESS CODE
Header of the classes.dex
Offset.............Size...........Description
0x0................8................'Magic' value: "dex\n009\0"
0x8................4................Checksum
0xC...............20...............SHA-1 Signature
0x20..............4................Length of file in bytes ( in Little endian and hex value )
....
Getting that class is quite simple when you know how the dex header is formatted so i cut off the useless code and got the original classes.dex that can be decompiled with baksmali and used inside the apk.
Unfortunately this method doesn't work for the dex that were encrypted. Or at least, I'm missing the last step because there's something wrong with the code in this extrapolated class since the SHA1 signature appears to be wrong and consecutively also the Checksum are incorrect.
So, from my point of view we have 2 possible scenario:
1- the length of the classes that we can find in the header is wrong; ( most probable for me )
2- the code of the dex has been changed by the system.
Wish you can suggest me some ideas.
@suljo94 @P_Toti pls check this and tell me what you think. Tnx.

meh who cares, the sha1 doesnt matter, just fix the alder32 checksum, or correct them both.

Probably the sha1 is added before the obfuscation method.

did you salvage th whole classes.dex or just partially?
and is recalculating the sha1 and alder32 an option (if you salavaged it completely)
can we use dexguard for deobfuscation?
how did you open the file? I can't dex2jar it because it keeps saying that it isn't a dex file.
so many questions......

try to look into the classes dex with an hex editor, it's encrypted and that's why you can't use tool like that on the original dex.
If you want play, this is the dex i extracted from the dalvik-cache of the LGweather apk:
https://mega.co.nz/#!DsRHQaBL!YInp8fsaRpzZ3dbHogbNytWZfzedF9Le_PndvnmhSQs
The software i tryed fail to decompile it but maybe you are more lucky

some surfing aroud caused me to find which file decrypts lgcover it is the libgalmond.so file
the colprit it contains some interesting code "adler inflation"
@jcase it has been 2 months and I tried a few things but since you know more about this could you please tell me how to get the correct adler32 checksum? maybe for lets say 1 of those cheap wines you like

so I got the slides and I am starting to think that the problem could be that xposed links app_process32 to app_process32_xposed and that the shared library gets injected into the wrong file (app_process32)
