Yes, that is the usual motivation. It is similar to driving a car low on petrol...you ask yourself "how low can it go before I run into problems...."
Some kernel-tweaking combos I know of are Perseus & Adam = STweaks / Saber & others = Trickster / Devil kernel and Devil app

Oh. Another question. In my GPU, 533mhz is 1100. The 640mhz is 1075. So its better if i use 640mhz?

[Q] Restore Voltage

I screwed up and changed the voltages on my phone and battery life took a nose dive. I know I should of recorded the original settings but I didn't. Could some one please list what the original settings where and maybe some recommendations.

Disable what ever app that your using for voltage control and then reflash the kernel or rom and your stock voltage table will be restored'

Thanks tried that but the numbers don't seem correct

Lol.. as long as you have nothing set to set voltage PR frequency at boot and you reflashed your kernel them it is right. Its not one of those maybe situations..

CPU Stat App

I'm looking for a good app that shows mainly CPU speed, but other starts as well. I have 0 dollars so it needs to be a free one.
Thanks in advance guys. =)

I replied to you in the CleanROM thread. I don't know what other stats you need to see, but BetterBatteryStats is free on XDA. It's a required app for anybody trying to maximize battery life and the last several versions have included CPU stats.
I just want to see the ghz of it in real time.

well I have an N7100.The NEAK kernel supports it.the NEAK APP has the option. Mine runs mostly on single core during light usage. check if the kernel is available for 7105.
Simply 'ON' power Saving mode - enable cpu power Saving

[Q] Quad Core Control - What does it do exactly?

So I noticed this switch in the submenu of Settings -> Battery
Quad Core Control
It says turning this on can help to extend the battery life, but what does it do exactly?
Also, when I did the tests on Antutu, there were no significant difference between having it on or off.
Anyone knows? Thanks in advance

Quad core control is a built in governor controller that LG decided to let us have. When turned on it pretty much changes the Governor to either "Powersave" or "Interactive." When it's off the Governor is either "Ondemand" or "Performance."
Right. And I am not 100% sure but I thought it also controls on how many cores it uses.

So it is not like the CPU control found on S3/S4/Note2 which undervolts the cpu and save energy that way?
Hmm. Is there a way to undervolt the cpu without rooting?

You can lower it to 1200MHz max. Its SAFE. But our device is already kind of slow. I rather would set max cpu frequency to 1800MHz.
The phone is so hot when I set to 1400. What KSM and purging of assets. Do I need to switch on.

Keep both options OFF. Which governor/scheduler min/max cpu frequency do you use?
I'm using DarkCM with KhaN-Kernel 1.7 - sio/smartass V2 - 384MHz/1804MHz and the phone NEVER becomes hot, except during a benchmark.
If you have ongoing heat problems --> try another rom was an option
Ondemand cfq.hot when i play clash of clan.

Gaming is as benchmark i suppose.
Try sio/smartass V2 or bfq/smartass v2.
CFQ = completely fair queue, means every running app gets the same performance. That really makes no sense for gaming.
You ca also give KhaN-Kernel 1.7 - 362MB Ram a try.
Tq very much for your help.
