[Q] No media sounds or call sounds after hands free use - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I have a problem with my gnex. After using a bluetooth headset, I lost almost all sounds.
What is not working
Media sounds like game sounds or music playback, Mic, Earpiece
Whats working
Alarms, Phonecalls through speakerphone.
Also I noticed that when I raise the media volume, I get the warning for destroying my ears that I used to got only through a headset.
What I tried
Flash stock rom down to 4.1, Flash a stock radio, Flash a lot of different kernels.
The only solution I got is through a 3rd party application (SoundAbout) that lets you choose how to redirect sound.
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/mobile/CgSIugq7qiE
But this hasn't solve my problem, is just a workaround. I can not understand how is it possible to be a software problem but not be solved by an installation of a different rom+radio+kernel
Any comments ?

Help! Static when starting to play sounds through headphones

The sound is fine through the speaker, but on two sets of 'phones, there is a slight click or pop when I start an mp3 or something, although I can also hear the static-type click when I push the start button.
No pop/click when using external speakers at all EDIT: I can hear the pop/click through the speaker as well, just more faintly as I have the volume lower.
This doesn't happen on my old Tosh e400.
As I bought this to use it on the tube as an mp3 player / book reader / phone, I am kind of desperate to find out the cause and fix it.
I tried 2 different mp3 software players in case it was that, and I have tried the registry key tweak (Priority256) as well.
I am on the 1.31 with all O2 stuff cancelled on a hard reset. Was there anything to do with this in the O2 extended ROM? I have manually installed all the non-O2 stuff (I think) from my Extended ROM folder, and left the O2 stuff out.
Please help, this is twisting my melon!
Thanks,
Joe
EDIT #2: I did another hard reset and just allowed the O2 stuff to install. Crack and pop still present. Are there any different drivers or audio setups I could try?
Ok, nobody answering that post so let me rephrase my questions:
1. If you listen REALLY carefully, can you hear a slight static pop when you begin playing an mp3 or playing any other sound (may have to use earphones to detect it). If so I think I can live with it - just don't want to be the one with the 'duff' XDA IIs.
2. Do the ROMs have anything to do with how audio is played? Are there drivers for the playing of audio in the ROMs? Could I try other ROM's out, if so, then which ones?
sounds to me like its hardware related, also have you tried a new set of earphones???
i had this problem and it was sorted with new earphones....
you could try a rom upgrade or downgrade to see if your rom is duff!!, but i doubt that will work./.... 8)
year sounds to me that its hardware related. you know that the head phone input is a different size to standard headphones. if your using a converter then this may be the cause of the problem.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Update to my problem:
1. Tried 2 pair of phones. Both have the static.
2. Static (I am calling it this now as it is like static from an old record player, only more faintly heard) appears throughout playing music or sounds on both the internal speaker and through the external headphones.
3. Tried without the 3.5>2.5 headphone adapter and the same result.
4. New finding!! If I play an mp3 and press the red end call button, a flurry of static type sounds is briefly heard over the top of the music.
Can I ask if anyone gets the static/funny sounds when pressing the red end call button during music playing with the windows media 9 application?

[Q] Notification audio problem with headphones

Hi everybody, first post on xda.
I have this problem on my GNex: when i listen to the music with headphones (through poweramp mainly) and i get a notification, the sound of the notification clips a little and after that the audio volume get lower for one or two secs... as far as i know this doesn't seem to happen w/o headphones and happens with all the roms i've tried, even with the stock, all tried with various kernel.
The same problem happens to any of you?
i am unlocked, rooted, but with stock 4.0.2 rom and kernel.
don't use Poweramp, but listen to Google Music throughout the day, and have no problem with notifications using headphones.

[Q] Bluetooth Issues

I've seen this issue across multiple JellyBean ROMs - wondering if anyone know of a solution/workaround:
If I'm listening to music on my bluetooth headphones, and a call comes in while the music is playing, the music is diverted to the handset's speaker until I answer or ignore the call. This isn't good (especially if I'm in a library).
I've experienced this on both AOKP and CM10 ROMs and doesn't matter which audio app I'm running.
If anyone has also experienced this and/or knows how to cure it, I'm all ears.
This is XDA!!!

Thy cure is obvious fellow friend, thou must flash a new ROM until you hast successfully defeated thy enemy!
Android 4.2.2 Bug
I filed a bug on this issue as it happens on every 4.2.2 ROM I've tried.

Not quite the same issue, but may help.
Was having bluetooth crashes for months using CM 10.1 on a T989 (no custom kernels)
Would crash anytime I tried to connect to car BT audio, or would simply not start up.
Flashed this yesterday.... and no crashes!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174100
For flash: Wiped dalvik/cache, flashed, fix permissions, reboot, start BT, deleted all devices, re-add.
No BT crashing of any sort for 36 hours now.

[Q] Please Help me guys!!

Hi!, I had a serious nerve racking problem with Samsung Galaxy W since I flashed it with another official stock ROM in which I got much more languages including the french one. But the problem is that when the earphone is plugged in to listen to my music, it starts switching the soundtrack I am playing to another one that I wasn't playing, it even stops playing :'( . And it's the same **** everytime I want to play my music from the default music player or the one installed like Poweramp. So please help me to fix this!. Even when I wanna listen to my FM radio it shuts down by itself and I could hear some weird beeps from my earphone. The Autostarts apps won't solve at all my problem! :'(
[Q] My phone plays and stops music by itself when the earphone is plugged in, but once removed from it everything works fine! :'(

I am not sure about the default music player, but poweramp has a feature like the one you described. When you plug in the headphone, it resumes playing. (An autostart musicplayer feature). Check the settings under poweramp player and hopefully you will see that option somewhere. I am not using poweramp so I can't tell you where exactly that option would be.
The other issues you desribe, I don't know. It may have something to do with the conflict between poweramp and FM radio... Maybe. I am not sure. See what happens when you disable the option I described above.
The stock rom don't have a FM radio app, so use Spirit FM, search the apk and download it.
And this problem happens with me too, but only sometimes. When I'm using a Bluetooth headset, no problems, but when I use a normal earphone, some lags occur.

Okay thanks for your help but now the problem is solved after disabling the "media button pressed" event's from the pre installed music player and many other apps running on your Android's system. It requires root access to be allowed "Autostarts.apk". Anybody else having the issue could use this app to fix it!

Misterious audio problem

Hi everyone, before anyone complains I did search for the problem everywhere and found nothing so I decided to post it here.
I'm going straight to the point since the problem has been driving me mad for a long time.
The problem arises when I use the ear speaker after that the headphones output is totally distorted but not before. I've always managed to do a reboot and everything is back to normal until I use the ear speaker again and the problem comes back. Something strange is that I only notice the distortion on any headphones or headset but never with a speaker such as a bluetooth speaker or via aux cable to my car.
I changed the firmware to various versions (stock and custom), changed the kernel, changed some build.prop settings, disabled the equalizer apps, changed the music player, disabled the Nuplayer and the problem keeps coming back.
Any ideas ?
Thank you for reading, hope someone can help me I'd be really thankful.
No one had this problem ?

Yes, i had it many times also. I think sound doesn't distorts. The reason for that is audio effects (or any other effects) stops working so sound becomes plain with no bass and other things. Some times force stop audio effects works but reboot always.
