Ok guys let's be honest a lot of us use ptmr3s work. Be it jedi master or jedi x and saber kernel. This gentlemen works his butt off around the clock for us to enjoy his fast smooth and stable roms as our daily driver. Unfortunately his pc has taken a turn for the worst and is no longer functional. This is horrible and also means no more jedi or any other updates. Now that being said he has sacraficed and given so much to the community with his work. Now I say it's time to give back. So I've decided to start a bounty to make it happen.
I ask that we all donate to him so he can buy a new pc and continue his work.
I will personally donate $50 towards this to get us started.
The total needed to get hom a pc he is able to develop on is:$800!

Thanks to everyone's help we were able to get Team Sextape an E4GT (BIG thanks to Eso!) and a GNex... but that's only the beginning.
I'm bumping the thread as we're moving onto bigger fish:

He does have a phone... but part of the problem was that they did not have ones that they were dropping leaks for. I'm one of many trying to help resolve that.

For what its worth the threads that have been locked broke the rules on one way or another AFAIK... its hard to ask for a more legit donation request than this, sextape has contributed tons to e4gt development and garwynn is also crazy helpful around here, so this is pretty obviously both legit and a very good cause.... I will be chipping in a few bucks when I get to a computer as I'm not seeing the link in the xda app... big thanks to eso for the generous donation and to garwynn for matching funds...

thanks for understanding yes this is not a donations to satisfy or fuel or bad habits to to bring more development to our devices and as you maybe know Jelly Bean is around the corner to being official on the Galaxy Nexus and Epic 4g and other devices our Teams are dedicated to bringing all this to the community in the same matter that I brought Official I.C.S to the Nexus S 4g and Epic 4g Touch.

I would say take your $5.00 and buy some manners.... I am running Jedi and we NEED more and better development here! This is what it's gonna come down to is getting the phones into hands of devs that can do work that MOST of us cannot.... If you don't think his work is impressive then just don't say anything... I donate to two devs a month... If we don't we are stuck with what garbage is on our phones from the factory! I DON'T want that so I will donate $10-20.... Does not seem much but if a lot of people did the same he could get his phone quicker... :good:

Wanted to correct my post by saying. . I've donated to every dev I've *used* their rom (or anything from them), cm, Eugene, franko, team whiskey, aokp and more than I can remember. . Those are the main ones I keep using. .
But you don't bad mouth a dev like the other poster did. ... You don't use/like their rom, fine. . Don't post about them. . Every dev here does their work for free and hopes someone may like their work and donate (I was hoping someone would donate when I spent 2 weeks on an 8-bit tribute theme for a rom a year ago ), they never demand anything and they try to please every little request. .. for that we have to help them when we can.
I'm sure we can get enough people to get him a phone. ..

Every dev is a great dev. Cm has been doing this for years and now has a whole team working on cm roms. Every dev starts somewhere and they learn by developing and get better and better.
Aokp is another great team, team whiskey and more. You have to branch out. There is not only one "cyanogen" as you say. .xda is full of thousands of them waiting to happen. That's why we support them. So we have a choice. .. cause if we stock with the one cm, then soon we won't have choice. . And we all went to Android because they're is so much choice. ..
And Ptmr3 responds to users posts. . Good luck getting anyone from the cm to respond to your posts

I don't claim to be the best lol
But I do think that thousands of users use my ROMs religiously lol I am currently supporting 6 devices and try to make sure I not only keep everything updated and new but also do my best to respond to every post I can. But since the Galaxy S2 is the device I have right now, it is the one that has the best features, most customization, and kernel etc.
I understand everyone has their opinions and I respect that but I have to respectfully disagree with the original post being quoted

I have followed ptmr3 since he did a BLIND PORT for the tmobile note 1( yea remember that one) and I've got to say if it wasn't for him that section would have been deleted. FYI - DerTeufel1980 had a solid kernel working fairly quickly and has since worked on the recovery mods to allow installing two ROMs, etc. He has been working through a few items such as USB only working for charging, etc. He is making progress though.

Update 5/25 - DerTeufel1980 has spent a while perfecting a universal kernel that works on AOSP and Sammy ROMs. The thread is here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239453
He had to work out some bugs that prevented troubleshooting the dual-boot problem. However, he recently returned to the dual-boot problem and has solved it. He has been able to dual-boot with AOSP as primary, Sammy as secondary and vice-versa. He is still fixing some recovery issues, etc but is hopeful that the release will be available tomorrow. This turned out to be much more challenging than other phones but that is probably why nobody else has accomplished it until he had a device to work on...
Changed the OP to ask if anyone would be willing to risk donating $5.00 for the capability. Again, nobody would need to donate until we gather enough donation promises to allow purchasing a device.

I would be willing to spend $5. I would really like something Boot Manager. That was one of the best apps I had the Evo 4G. Let you have a nice stable daily. But you could try out mutliple ROMs which may or may not have been ready for to daily use.

He will be developing a dual-boot kernel/recovery. He already has it working for free on the Captivate and published the source code.

I donnu how to start this kind of topic but we all know that Maroc-OS is one of the Great Developer in this Generation, he contributed a lot to make our lil SGY awesome without having a salary, he is the 1st kernel developer on our SGY,.
i dont know why he's gone for a several months after he finished his work but the good news is he came back for us! he came back to start a new development but the bad news is he didn't own a device now that's why im calling you all and telling you that its not easy to develop a kernel without owning a device!
he helped us alot and the only thing that we can help him is just a few donation for his needs.
spanish33 spoke with Maroc-OS via pm and Maroc-OS said that he really needs the device and some debugging tools. His paypal account is not allowing him to accept payment so he gave this below.

I know that's a lot but for all the work this guy gives us with his super stable roms I think we should toss him a few bucks and it will add up quickly.
