Can't Access Task Manager with Home Button Anymore - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I can no longer hold home to get to the task manager. Holding down home does nothing now and I can't figure out why or what I could have done to cause this. Restarting doesn't fix it. Anyone know how I can restore this function without reflashing? The last thing I did was install Xposed Framework with modules 'App Settings 0.4' and 'xMulti Window Mod 1.3' so I'm thinking that's what caused it but I'm not sure why.
ROM: Tweaked 2.4.1
Kernel: Stock

Your best bet is to try and disable the new modules in xposed. Or disable xposed all together Then reboot..... also there's nO need to post in multiple threads. Patience

Disabled the two modules and rebooted. That fixed it. Re-enabled them, rebooted, problem came back. Double checked and the modules are configured as instructed. Everything on my phone seems fine and working great except this one little issue and it's an annoying one. I don't want to give up this MOD so there must be a way to isolate this but I must admit I'm lost.

[GUIDE] [MOD][ICS][XPOSED] Tweakbox(Volume Button Skip) w/ Working INSTAGRAM!!

As some of you may know....... Many people are frustrated that you can't have the volume button Skip hack and have ability to use the Instagram App.......:crying: Well, I've found a quick work around without having to DL an add-on or additional script to get it to work....
If you don't have them already.... you just need the simple following:
Xposed Installer
And
TweakBox
Please click the links above for installation instructions......
1) Once, you have installed Xposed Installer and Tweakbox (Again Please Click the Links above for the directions) you would proceed with the install and selecting what you what Tweakbox to do.
2) After You Install .... YOU MUST REBOOT!
3) After the reboot, Go back to Xposed Installer and Click "Uninstall (restore app_process)"
4) DO NOT REBOOT.... IT WILL SAY YOU NEED TO REBOOT FOR CHANGES TO TAKE PLACE.... Ignore that and go about you way... You now have the ability to Skip Songs with the volume buttons with the screen off and YES you can use Instagram..
5) Enjoy and Share instagram pics!
I do not take credit for the TweakBox or Xposed Installer but just to help the fellow community out on getting these 2 apps to work.... Below is my cheesy video showing that this works.... Enjoy and don't forget to hit that Thanks Button :good:

Installed xposed apk, but got a bootloop after reboot... Running 4.1.1 stock.
Also, wouldn't this break if we reboot the phone later on. So we have to do this everythine our phone is turned off or reboot??

Actually, there's a version that runs on both ICS and JB: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34609290#post34609290
It's still not the final 2.0 version as some adjustments are being done by rovo and myself. A permanent fix to the Instagram insue should be part of that final release as well.
HI, just adding that this also crashes the Reddit News App but your solution "fixes" it.:victory:
Please Tungstwenty, fix this.

[Q] reboot manager

Hi all, I am certain others are having this problem, but I couldn't find any threads about it.
Does anyone know how to get a reboot widget to work? I used to keep Quick Reboot on my home screen just to have easy access to recovery and other stuff. Since the Lollipop update, none of the reboot managers on the play store work.
Anyone know of a work around or alternative?
Is your phone rooted, from what i understand the app you're referring to or any like it requires it. If you are rooted most any custom rom will have the boot menu your looking for just not as a widget.
Holo Reboot works for me on OB7.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scartech.holoreboot
It has a dark and bright widget.

Dang, it doesn't work for me. It asks for root privileges and I grant them, then says your phone will reboot....but never does. It behaves the same way all reboot managers do, just bombs out.
It has been like this on every ROM I've used (Noterized, Alliance), including stock. WTF?? Are you certain it is rebooting your Note when you ask it to?
Even apps Like Synapse that came with my ROM cannot reboot. The Xposed module reboot function fails too. Like I said, it isn't specific to this ROM, it has always been like this for me on the NOTE 4.

I was using it with rooted OB7 stock using beta 2.49 SuperSU apk. Just flashed a custom ROM that uses 2.46 and does just as you say.
Try the beta 2.49. It was made for the lollipop kernel enforcing vs permissive mode issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55256620&postcount=1 Shouldn't be beta, IMO.
Edit: that didn't fix it on custom ROM for me either. I'll look deeper into this.

I have found that applications that issue a reboot command(like xposed), also fail to result in a reboot. However, interestingly enough, I just noticed that the reboot command from within Titanium works (it is inside the menu list).
Sometimes I notice when I try to reboot with a app, a toast message comes on a says "Reboot:Null" or "that function doesn't exist (or something like that)" as if that command functionality doesn't exist on the Note 4. I know it isn't a Lollipop issue, because my wife's G2 has Lollipop and Quickboot works flawlessly.
When Titanium successfully rebooted, it flashed a toast message (the first time). I didn't have a chance to read it all, it was long. But it seems to be using another method to initiate a reboot. Dunno, I am stumped.

I got some ideas just slow going setting up a fresh ROM. For stock, I had a highly customized setup, look and feel but everyone's preferences are not alike so I can't complain. Even with Titanium and TWRP tar to pull from, I had system customized too. I've got apps and lib folder to edit; some to copy over and some to delete. Keyboards have got to go; back to custom Swype with top number row and directional left right arrows. There's always the nandroid to restore but I'll try to set this up for a backup.
I'll chime in if I figure it out. Maybe just a matter of time. Not out of ideas yet. If someone has a solution, chime in.

Button "Ok" doesn't work. "Cancel" does

I have a weird problem for a long time now and I'm not able to find a solution.
Sometimes a press to "OK" doesn't work (no reaction") but pressing "Cancel" works.
I have it mainly in three different cases.
- Installing new XPosed module. I can't install because of this.
- VPN confirmation dialog. I can't use VPN
- SuperSU. Aksing for root permission. After disabling "TapJacking protection". It works.
Because of SuperSU and one post in XDA I think it's a Lollipop bug in the TapJacking protection implemantation by Google.
I searched the web. Find only a few posts but no real help.
Wipe App and Dalvik cache doesn't help. Disabling all Xposed modules doesn't help.
Z00AD, 4GB, 2.5GHz, Stock 2.20.40.97, rooted, Xposed framework installed. Still locked bootloader.
Nice and easy fix that one. Just sleep lux whenever you want to press ok. Lux causes the issue.

How to remove status bar clock WITHOUT xposed?

I tried xposed and fell the phone choppier so dont want to deal with it. Im rooted and twrp. Any zip or buildpro to disable it. I search and couldnt find anything other than people recomending gravitybox or similar modules to remove it. I actually did partially remove it with Nova launcher,. Which has a setting if u are rooted it does remove the clock but only in home screen. Thanx
Get a ROM that has this functionality built in ...
Don't know what went wrong in your case, but simply flashing Xposed without modules doesn't change anything and Xposed alone can't cause issues.

Enable quick wallet access Google Pay for Pixels running Android 10

Has anyone got this working? I've done everything and the new power menu appears and the Cards and Passes does show up in gestures for about 30 seconds and then disappears. When press the power button it only shows the new power menu and not the cards.
https://www.xda-developers.com/enable-quick-wallet-access-google-pay-pixel-android-10/#disqus_thread
Same issue here. I don't even get the option for cards and passes in gestures menu....
i had to reboot like three times and then the cards magically appeared. It's not something that works instantly.

Thanks. There is something else connected. I did this mod yesterday and have rebooted multiple times. Are you on a custom kernel?

Got it working, but my option to enable it appeared in a different place.
Maybe do a reboot, put your code in if you have one, and then just let the phone sit for awhile.

I'm on a custom Kernal. Booted many times and the gesture appears but still disappears in a matter of seconds. Very frustrating.

Well the dev didn't specify in his installation instructions that you needed to be on a stock kernal. The only requirement was to be in Android 10. I've tried a few reboots and nothing.

Ah ok. Very strange. Not sure what are or not the full requirements are for installation. It's a bit vague from the dev and no real support on it.

This is what I have installed. My GPay has been working for a long time with these modules installed.
Do I need to do anything else?
The gesture just disappears after a reboot.
Working here :good:
Working fine here. I had to reboot 2 times, disable and re-enable the toggle in order to make it work. Now it runs perfectly fine

Those are the correct modules and it should be up and running.
After reading things, they sound like scripts so that's why I suggest letting it sit for a little after you boot up. Try reinstalling the modules and try to get the option to come up for you once more.

Ok I'll try and reinstall all those modules. Yes as they are scripts it may take a few minutes to run but they don't. Not sure if the permissions should be changed or correct. The creater has another module like this for the live caption which I installed and again are scripts and run perfectly so not sure what's going on. After multiple reboots it appears in gestures and just disappears and nothing happens. See attached.

Tried reinstalling all the modules again and toggling the switch on and off and while doing it in gestures again it just disappeared. No idea what's going on. Not sure if one of my modules is conflicting with this module or not? Just strange it's kind of the same script as live caption but just does not want to play ball
