Hi everyone!
I just have one question, is it possible to reinstall the offcial HTC Sense ROM for my HTC One X?
The thing is that last month I almost brick my HOX, you guys helped me to recover it, but I did not get any back up for the original ROM, can I reinstall it? Cuz I've been looking for the official ROM online without result.
I'd appreciate your answers!
Thanks!
Which cid?

Sense 4, because Sense 5 has not been placed for download.
I mean to install the stock rom back we need to have your current main version. Not in sense 4 but in software number so that it matches the phone !
Fastboot getvar version-main

Hi @ all,
are there any news about the possibility of changing the CID of the international HOX to a superCID or something equal?
The only things I could find pointed to the AT&T HOX or the HTC One S, but nothing about the international HOX
Without changing the CID we (the international users) have to wait month befor changing to JB ROMs
How can we change the CID?
Thx Nem.

no and it seems not in near future. But You can try newest leaks with trips kernel, if you want (with some bugs, but with working radio and so on)
Without S-Off there won't be a chance to change your cid if I remember right from my desire times.
Biggest difference here is the tegra chipset. That's the main issue here. But be assured, that if the deffs find a way to install jb on any device, you'll surely here about it!

Maybe "international" is the wrong word. Maybe "EU" is better.
Mine is a german HOX from T-Mobile, so my CID does not match.

Well it looks like it won't work properly without the updated hboot, so once the hboot is out for the particular CID and installed through OTA or RUU, any custom ROM based off official JB should work.

Hi,
I bought my HTC One X few months ago. And I didn't receive an update yet. When I was waiting for 4.1 JB update I see that my version is very old and I cannot even make a software update check. I don't have that menu in about section.
This my first post so I can't send screanshots but menu looks like that ABOUT>Software Information>
android version 4.0.3
HTC Sense version 4.0
Software Number 1.29.401.7 (Unlocked with HTCDev)
I searched the forum and can not find a solution for this please help.
Thanks
if you dont have the option it means you have a custom rom installed
make a backup of your phone
flash 1.29.401.7 ruu.
EDIT: and dont ever post questions again outside the questions forum

There may not be any updates since then. Jellybean is only just being officially released and isn't even released in most places.

Your phone should be on custom ROM as it do not owned a uodate check button.
You need to determine where your phone origin from by checking CID. Grab cid getter from play store or via fastboot fastboot getvar cid.
Then re-lock bootloader and flash the corresponding RUU to return to stock.
Kindly search and read some tutorials to learn before asking.
Am I right in saying that you bought your One X second hand, as obviously your bootloader has been unlocked via HTCDev
And searching under Android Development brings you right to this collection of all info that one might need:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832891
Jelly Been Android 4.1 is only available for certain Hboot versions
You cand find yours by power down your device, wait a few seconds, then press Power and Vol- together and keep holding until you get to the bootloader screen.
From there you can select the recovery and see if that is installed, if not or you don't have the latest recovery installed follow this :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592355
Obviously you are already unlocked so you can follow with installing your fastboot folder as described in the last thread and then install Clockworkmod 5.8.4.0 which is the latest...then do a nandroid back up of your current ROM and follow the guides to re-lock your One X, install the stock recovery for your current ROM, then run the apropriate RUU of which after you have the latest stock ROM for your fone and carrier.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING MAKE SURE YOUR One X IS FULLY CHARGED
I don't know how to unlock again as you won't have the initial Unlock Token mail from HTCDev...so maybe it is better to just stay with stock. So read read read and understand before you jump in! Have fun
And before byuing a second hand device next time make sure it runs all stock stuff, and if not, that you get also all documentation related to to the device you plan to purchase.

Hello!
I updated my HTC One X to android version 4.2.2. but Sense 5 is terrible !!! I would like to get back previous version 4.1.1... I tried to download official ROM from here:
www androidruu.com/?developer=Endeavor (note: dot is missing after www in the link)
I attempted to install these versions...
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
but instalation finish everytime with error: Error 158: Image Error.
Please, can you help me to get back much more better Sense 4+?
Thanks!
I am of no help whatsoever, but why? Sense 5 is awesome, much cleaner and less clunky. Why would you want 4+ back after such an awesome update?! And you would be going back to a worse version of Android, 4.2.2 is great!

flash custom rom and it will work...if not you can't go back to sense 4+ but even with hboot 1.72 you should be able
You can flash any custom sense 4 based rom but the minimal software base must be at least 3.17 or higher.
But most wwe roms are updated to 3.20.401 base. So that's no problem.

hey can u please tell me how u instaled 4.2 update on ur htc one x i am also using one x my cid is Orange_001 and i am not getting any update
Hi All,
So last night I got given a HTC one x as from a relative due to the getting a recent upgrade So as every developer does I was like yay lets mod it like mad, So I used htc dev to unlock the bootloader and flashed this with the boot.img from the cyanogen mod and then went to put my phone in recovery to get a custom .zip to boot from however when booting into recovery this being a splash screen of a phone with an exclamation mark I was unable to transfer the zip due to the phone not being seen by my pc when in recovery, however decided lets persevere and proceeded to flash a few different boot.img and then even a recovery.img eventually I got into the OS, however It was stuck in airplane mode so I decided to commit to a reset wiping all the data from my phone, and still it is stuck in airplane mode I get no imei, I cannot even turn wifi on
The phone is HTC one X, was originally on orange however I unlocked it with one of the codes you can buy online,
software number: 3.16.61.6
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and from this I will very much have learnt to backup before playing!
if you need any more information please let me know
If we look at your software number you can see you don't have the tegra variant...so if you have the dual core snapdragon, lte version please go into the right forum for your device !!
