Hi ,
I need a new battery for my Gnex i9250 GSM. I know the first thing would be to use the extender that's meant for my phone, however I am in India and getting things is not easy as the US, etc, if it is available, it doesn't come cheap.
So I wanted to know if anyone has used a n7000 (Note 1) 2500mAh battery on this phone? Please do let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Lee
Nevermind, the size is not the same. Saw an ad on Ebay saying it was compatible with the Note I and Gnex hence I asked.
The S3 Battery is a 2100 mAh battery, but its 3.8v while the nexus is 3.7v the size of these 2 are the same but the 0.1 difference in voltage is concerning me.
So would a S3, 2100 mAh 3.8v battery damage my phone ?
The s3 battery won't fit, tried it a few months back.
And don't use battery of different ratings than the original one, it can fry something.

I don't know about cost but have you tried amazon?

It is strange, all lithium-ion batteries have 3.7 V nominal and 4.15..4.20 V max voltage.
Thanks brothers for s3 battery information fit for gnex

I'm looking for a Galaxy Nexus extended battery in the 2000-3000mah category. I don't want the Uber-thick 3800mah Seido but I don't want the extra 100-200mah for the Samsung extended (doesn't seem worth it even with a half-priced battery), I'm kind of looking for something in between (like a sweet spot) maybe in the range of 2500-3000 would be ideal. I'm sure there will need to be a separate case for it.
Any suggestions?
Chicks dig the uber thick ones

I wish there was a 2500 option for the gnex too. I'm cutting it close at the end of the day and it would be awesome if I didn't have to worry about conserving enough for an emergency.
I purchased 2 2500mA batteries from Hong Kong. There is no NFC. Also, the batteries work with the original back cover!! I should receive them by the end of the week hopefully. I am currently using a 3800 extended battery and the battery life is unbelievably great. I am hopeful that the 2500 will get me through a day of heavy use. I bought them off eBay from "weil368".

Will update once I receive and put to use!

Just curious, do you have the LTE Verizon Nexus or the GSM version?
I have the GSM Nexus. The first day was OK. Definitely better than the original battery but no where near as good as the 3800mAh behemoth. I was able to make it through a day of light to moderate use. Hopefully after a few cycles they will get better.

How much screen on time was that? I switched to teerom and have gone from 6 hours of battery life up to 15 or so with stock battery. I think it may be the apex launcher.

It was 2:50 of screen time. For whatever reason I cannot upload the screen shot of the screen usage.

Guys ... please don't be fooled by high amperage in the same OEM body volume adverts.
There is NO 2500mAh in the world that will fit in the original 1750mAh volume. That technology is not yet accessible.
I'm 120% positive (and I can bet on this) that those "2500mAh" batteries have the same stored power (if not less) than the OEM 1750mAh ones.
If you get lucky, you may end up having initially a battery slightly stronger than the oem one which will deprecate in a matter of weeks and it will end up a lot weaker than the OEM.
I've been wondering about something for a while. Is there a technical reason why Li-Ion batteries must be in rectangular shape? Looking at the ginormous back for the Seido/Mugen 3500+ mAh extended batteries, I can't help thinking about all that wasted space above the SIM and up to the camera that could be "filled in" by an irregularly shaped battery.
The battery is made out of a long ribbon-like sandwich of electrolyte between two thin metallic foils (electrodes) and the whole structure is rolled or packed. It would be way too expensive to make it in custom shapes. So , the Li-Ion batteries can be built like cylinders or rectangular shapes.
Anyany reccomendations?
I bought mine on amazon and it was real cheap and works great.

How do i tell if its for my GSM phone or a CDMA phone?
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_s...:2407758011,k:galaxy+nexus+battery&sort=price
And also is a seperate back needed for a 2000mh battery compared to the stock 1750?

Look at the model number. Verizon is i515 or something and GSM is 9250 and if it says lte its Verizon. I got two 2050 mh batteries and a wall battery charger for around $25 on amazon. They fit like the stock battery.

Verizon is i515 and the battery is blue and more "square". GSM is i9250 and the battery is black and more "rectangle". You do need the extended battery cover. Most legit Samsung batteries + covers are ~$35 on eBay. Get a legitimate one.
I've got two of the VZW 2100 extended batteries for the Nexus... does anyone know of a charging cradle for the 2100 battery so I don't need to swap them out to charge them?
Thanks
Any thoughts at all?
Does the extended battery from verizon not come with a charging cradle? I was assuming it did, especially since it is normally 50 bucks.

Hi, I would buy an extra battery for my S2, I was thinking about this one:
http://www.ebay.it/itm/180802120154?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Do you think it's better to look to the design of my S2 or buy this battery and charge it every 3 days at least?
I need a battery 'cause I use my phone as a hotspot for my Nexus 7 every time i go out...
Excuse me for my bad english!
Edit 18/09
I received the battery, it seems slimmer than the original (lulz?) here some photos
So, I'm gonna try it. After 2 or 3 cycle I will post the results
Edit 20/09
Ok, after some cycles i think that this battery has a capacity of 1650 mAh like the original, because Battery Widget Reborn signal me 19h of charge like the Samsung one, so I think that's not 2450 mAh.
why would you ask this to other people ? if you feel you need more battery life and can handle a bigger phone then go for it. if not, keep the stock battery and thats it. simple.
I only wanted an advice from you guys...

I don't think that this battery work good. Why you don't buy the 2000mah original from samsung?
Because this one is cheaper and more capable... I also found this one http://item.mobileweb.ebay.it/viewitem?itemId=251145571049#ht_2172wt_1271

I bought a 2450mAh for my SGS2 and it dramatically improved the battery life.
Ok, I just ordered it. It will arrive in 3-5 working days, with "Battery widget. Reborn!" I get 22h in 100% without wifi, sync, or any connection but 2g. I'll post the results when it arrives.
It's a shame as a new user I can't post a link to it.

If you search "gold 2450mah" on ebay you should find it if you're interested.

I am using this 3500mah battery from last 1 month
Actually it is 2150 mah only as calibrated so many times by Battery Widget software. So it definately increased performance. I got it from ebay from India and it is cheap only 1000 indian rupees
Friends please suggest me about that charging cover type 1000 mah extended battery.
Thanks

Yeah I am interested in opinions for best choice of battery, I have 2 and they are aging, one is a knockoff I suppose but held up great for a long time, now it drains while not in use so it is almost due time for a replacement!
There already was a thread exactly like this. The conclusion: OEM 2100 mah battery.
