Installing Xposed Framework on 4.3 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

I'm running CM10.2 and having difficulty trying to get Xposed framework installed. I've tried a couple different methods to no avail. The only thing I've found searching the forums is some speculation that the included Superuser in CM10.2 is what might preventing Xposed to install properly. If anyone could just point me in the right direction, then I'd be much obliged. I'm more than willing to read and find the answer for myself, but I've hit a wall and don't know where else to look for information regarding installing on 4.3.
Thanks in advance.

Seems i was wrong, only the installer apk isnt compatible, but the actual framework is. Look Around the xposed framework thread here and try to find the flashable zip installer they seem to be talking about. From a quick reading of the last page, it seems to break PA hybrid settings, so if your using paranoid android you might wanna avoid the framework all together

Tried it twice. Hung at the boot logo both times

Update: Found this thread with a modified Xposed Installer APK for 4.3 devices. It didn't work on it's own, but after downloading SuperSU from the Play Store and choosing to update the superuser binary in recovery from within the SuperSU app, I was able to install Xposed. After that, I installed the donate version of Greenify, selected the module in Xposed, and rebooted to activate it. At this point, I hit another hang at the boot logo. Instead of giving up, I wiped cache and dalvik cache from recovery and rebooted to fully functioning Xposed framework with the Greenify module activated and working.
I hope that helps anyone else that may be experiencing the same problem.

Android System (UID)

Hey guys I'm currently using Wicked 10. with Ktoonz Kernel, everything works fine, but I did came accross the android System (UID) asking for root access, I did denied it because I don't know what it is, I did search and I came accross that it was cause by the Xposed framework, Wanam and Supersu Module but according to the thread it was suppose to be fixed a few updates ago. and I couldn't really found anything else about it just got me curious of what to do.
Anyone encounter this issue??
any infor is greatly appreciated
An xposed module is more than likely asking for root. And since xposed framework loads the module as a system, it looks as if the system is asking for root. If you have super su pro, check the log to see exactly what it is executing.

[Q] Unable to install 3rd-Party Apps CM12 i9195

Hello, first of all I'd like to apologise if this is not the correct forum to ask about this.
Essentially, I have CM12 on my i9195, it worked perfectly fine for a period of time, but for some reason I am unable to install 3rd-party (non-play store) apps.
I am running the newest (20150206) nightly, and I have unknown sources enabled.
Furthermore, I've already done my fair share of googling, and no I am not using any kind of screen filter app, and I have sufficient memory.
Whenever I attempt to install an apk, it just comes up with 'app not installed' - nothing more.
I have also attempted to install through the terminal (using pm install /storage/emulated/0/Download/app.apk), which resulted in 'Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT]'.
I am completely new to any sort of android related things, so I have no clue how to solve this.
I'd be grateful if someone was able to help me out here.
Cheers
What app were you trying to install.
Usually the error occurs when the package name of the app u are trying to install is same as a preinstalled system app.
I was attempting to install a modded version of Snapchat (without installing any other version of it before).
Only thing that I came up with was moving the apk to its folder in system/app/.
However, the error comes up with with any other app as well, and to say the least moving the apps each time and changing the permissions is slightly inconvenient.

Try recovery and clearing cache and dalvik. Then when you boot up do nothing but make sure allow unknown sources is ticked, then go to filemanager and just install?
There could also be a problem with the modded snapchat version. Try redowning and older or newer version to see if that works.
Cheers,
Sora.

I really hoped it wouldn't come to that, but I did to a full format, which did not help at all.
It is an issue with not only snapchat, but all of the 3rd apps I tried to install.
I guess it might just be an issue with the ART runtime or something, and for now I'll just be converting essential 3rd parties to system apps.
@MedzikPL Did you try to install those apks on other roms. To see if they are working there. That points towards cm12. Which nightly are you running. I will flash cm12 today and i will try to reproduce the problem you are facing. Also give me link to snapchat download.
Very strange. Well I'm on latest nightly and all my 3rd party apps install fine. Can't be runtime. Please post a link to the nodded Snapchat and I will give it a go.

This is the mod, but as I said earlier I am generally unable to install non play store apps through the built-in installer.
Simultaneously, I did manage to get them to work by putting them in /system/app/ though, and they run just fine as I can tell.
After 20150208-NIGHTLY I am able to install apps, thread is for closure

Android Pay on a Rooted G3

Can't believe there aren't 10 threads about this for the G3 already. I've learned what everyone has who's rooted and trying to install Android Pay. No deal. And this really sucks, because I was looking forward to this.
I tried to install it from Google Play, but there's no install button. It says device is not compatible. So, I followed advice I've found on line. Installed Root cloak, cloaked Busybox and Wallet, and I disabled Superuser. Still no install button.
Next, I downloaded the latest Google Play Services and Android Pay APK's and installed them. Now when I try to open Android Pay, I get the error, "Android Pay is not Available". I'm not running xposed, BTW. I have an ls990 on Candy5.
I expected to run into problems loading my cards that are already saved on Wallet or when I go to use it, but I didn't count on not being able to install and open it. Has anyone with a rooted G3 been able to? If so, how?
I just unchecked "Enable Superuser" in SuperSU Pro, and Pay installed fine after that. Then I just re-enabled Superuser.
That's one of the the things I did, but it doesn't work. hmmm....
I've tried everything. Nothing works.

Disable SU, Root Cloak, some Device hider thing... Nothing works.
i have tried but not work
i have tried but not work!
Nothing I've read has helped. Most rooted users can't load cards. I can't even download the app from Google Play, and the apk installs but won't open up. Frustrating!
It updated automatically for me. But I can't load a card either now. This is really frustrating because use wallet everyday to make purchases.... WTF Google! I hope someone can fix this and soon. I've tried every work around so far
Rooted users on stock ROMs have had various degrees of success with Pay. Those of us with AOSP ROMs are almost universally getting nowhere.

When I get a chance, I'll restore an old nandroid of Barepop and see how it goes. Here and on G+, it seems I've seen people on AOSP at least get to the point where they're adding cards. This is the first time I recall seeing a line drawn between stock & AOSP. Worth a shot. Thanks!
Can't get this to work, stock or skydragon

Xposed won't update or uninstall with FlashFire

hello all, I appreciate any help you can give me. I also apologize if this has already been answered, as I couldn't find anything that worked for me.
I've recently been logged out of Snapchat, and when I tried to log back in, I was met with an error, which seems to be a pretty common issue with Xposed users.
so since I have the Verizon g4, I cant flash the uninstall zip with a custom recovery. FlashFire allows me to choose the zip and it appears to shut down and then turn back on ~45 seconds later, but the Xposed framework is still installed. I read another thread where someone mentioned that updating to v79 of Xposed and then uninstalling worked, but it doesn't work for me, as v74 is still installed.
I'm lost on options at the moment, besides a factory reset

help getting Xposed on a Samsung N900T running 5.0

I recently rooted my N900T using CF root, and all went well. Now I would like to install the Xposed framework, and have no clue which file to install, as I have found dozens of them, as well as reading there are different instructions on Samsung.
This phone has a stock rom, running 5.0 and I'd rather leave it that way. I've heard about using either Odin or Flashfire to flash the xposed framework, then just installing the APK, but once again, which file out of the dozens out there is for this device?
My main reasons are ad blocking, and to disable the idiotic headphone warning (since I can't strangle the developer of that screw up, heh heh) I use xposed on my old Nexus 7 and love it, and afaik, it was easy to put it on there.
I have searched, but either didn't find what I was sure applied to my device, or didn't find it, so sorry if it's already out there.
Thanks for any help!
my understanding is that to install xposed on a touchwiz ROM (samsung's rom), it needs to be deodex-ed
(see first post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...m-stock-lollipop-5-0-n900tuvufob6-v1-t3215571 )
look for deodex for instructions. Then the thread I linked should have the correct links to xposed install.
If you use an AOSP rom, you can install directly (no deode step required).

Thanks for the info, about to give it a try.
SUCCESS! The file I was trying to flash was the wrong one, apparently. was trying to flash xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon.zip, but I needed the V71 version instead.
v85 by dkcldark works without needing to deodex your ROM.

I am currently using this on rooted stock FOL1 knox 0x0 flashed using FlashFire.
Interesting. As this phone was given to me, and is over 3 years old, I could care less about knox or warranties, but still nice to know it can be done. The only problem I had was the touchwiz launcher deciding to just stop working, and getting those idiotic prompts "unfortunately touchwiz home has stopped, if this inconveniences you, too bad". I fixed that by ditching touchwiz home and going with Nova launcher, which I like better anyway. I also like that this phone has an IR blaster, which has led to fun with random TV's!
I hope its ok to ask my question here in this recent thread. I'm messed up with xposed I think. I had xposed installed and working while on the NK3 firmware. I don't do a lot of updates to my device very often, but decided it was finally time to move to 5.0. So I downloaded FOB6, got it flashed, rooted, twrp installed, sd card fix. I totally missed the part where I should have disabled or removed xposed before I upgraded. Now I seem to be stuck. Can't quite figure out how to remove the old version and install newer version. I tried downloading from the post by dkcldark ref'd above. I installed using flashfire (first time using that), but it seems I still have the same older version still showing when I run the app.
If all else fails I guess I'll make a backup and factory reset, but I'm hoping there is an easier way. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
