It shouldn't, I'm not a real expert on this subject, if it does then I apologise

To get from GB to JB first, i would use either the complete package that u got the pit file from (this should be f/w version XXMB2, use pit on this and select to repartition) and flash that, or handle the upgrade to JB via Kies.
then once that's happened just flash kyrillos' XXMF1 without using pit and without ticking repartition

what about your RAM, is it 624 RAM?
Installing without repartitioning will made a broken RAM display. I don't know if the problem are affecting the phone process.

same topic like here!
I don't think that it's good to provide this firmware, this firmware does include a boot.bin and an Sbl.bin, if by any chance a user flashes the firmware and Odin hangs during flashing these files then the mobile phone is totally unusable(brick).
We all have seen this firmware since the morning and non have posted it because of what I mentioned above.
I can confirm that the boot.bin and Sbl.bin in this firmware do not disable download mode, but still, if anything goes wrong as bad USB connection or bad drivers then the phone is dead.

+1 on this. I already posted the same warning on BogdanSNB's thread about this ROM. I think it would be of great benefit to the XDA community if people who start threads about new Samfirmware ROMs did some basic investigation before posting and posted some useful technical specs along with appropriate warnings about the possible dangers of flashing the ROM in question before encouraging others to flash / kill their phones. Helping people to make informed decisions about upgrades should be a priority, not an after thought.! (I'll get off my soap box and put on my fire proof suit now...)
802.pit? Never knew such existed, anyone know how it differs from 512/803 (ie data larger, system smaller)?

Information in the pit files are used by Odin for configuring partition sizes on the internal disks in Samsung Android phones. Different ROMs need different partition sizes depending on the amount of data needing to be written to each partition. Some XDA members tried looking into how pit files work a while ago but AFAIK weren't able to find out much because the Odin code is closed source so they couldnt work out what Odin does with regards to repartitioning (anyone got an update on this??). I've found that you can often flash ROMs that Samfirmware say should be 803 pit on a 512 pit phone with no problem. I'm running JS5 on my phone, having come from JS3 and JS2 but my last repartition was with the 512 .pit file when I flashed JPU.

[Q] [Help] Wrong ROM Wrong Phone

Hello everybody
First I want to apologize for the possible mistakes i'm french and my english is not perfect.
I have made a huge mistake. I've take a ROM made for the Gnote 1 and flashed it on my GNOTE 2, I even flashed the kernel and the modem.
I've tried to solve the problem with KIES by restore the microsoftware but i have a permanent bootloop.
I hope that my phone is not dead.
If anyone have a solution it will be great.
Thanks by advance.
Are you able to access recovery and use odin?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
Yes I can use Odin an Download Mode. But my fear is after the update via Kies i think that debug mode is not enable.
You don't need USB debugging to be enabled while flashing in download mode. Just get the official ROM tar for your specific version of cell and flash it through Odin. Get a complete ROM from reliable source which should also include modem.

Ok i'm gonna made it. I'll tell you when it will finish

Read first line on my signature
Post#1 have stock rom and post#4 you can find pit
If pit file is in zip then extract first then select for pit table (it will auto select reparations)
And select rom file for pda and flash

Finally i send it to samsung because flash with odin give me the same issues bootloop
Hi everyone.
Samsung call me back to give me some news of my phone. They ask me 200$ to repair it, because they told me that the motherboard was damaged. Is there any solution ? They don't take the warranty because of the root. Is there a way to put the flash counter to zero with the recovery ? I mean flash a file by the recovery.
Thanks

Is there any Indian 3 file firmware,,, i have tried all but couldn't find any one???So, If i have to use pit file so i have to use with with one file firmware or there is any Indian 3 file firmware??
Here you have Indian FW but I think they are only One Package.
It doesn't matter when flashing with .pit file.

ok..thnks ..that's what i wanna know does it matter or not 3 file or one file ,,,
i have just tick these options??
pda
re partition
pit
pda
f rest time
auto reboot??
or there is something else??
No, it doesn't matter. The firmwares for Note 2 come with a single file, generally the Modem is included in the file. You can flash a Modem or a kernel separately later with Odin, if anything is wrong with your current one.
And in Odin you don't need to touch anything, the default settings are okay.

Auto reboot is only useful if you want that the phone reboots itself once the firmware is flashed. You can also put the battery out.
There's nothing more before clicking on START expect usual advices about Odin: Run Odin as Admin, battery charged (>70%), Kies process are closed, official usb cable without any extension...
One or 3 files doesn't matter for me. The 3 files are useful if you only want to flash a specific partition like the modem.
what does NAND ERASE do???
I suggest you to do nothing with Nand erase... i have read it can brick ur phone..

I doubt that you could find a 4 part rom for the P605.
You can simply use this PIT file for the P605 16 GB , to re-partition your device, then you can install any stock rom afterwards.

Thanks for replying,
Mine is 32GB, is it OK to use this PIT file with my device or there is another one i should use?
Could please elaborate a bit on how i use it in Odin...Should i just use PIT file alone or with PDA file? If must with PDA file, which one that works with re-partitioning.
Thanks again

No you can`t use the 16 GB for the 32 GB, you will loose the extra 16 GB that you have.
Search for a pit 32 GB & just flash through odin alone, place it in the pit within odin.

[Q] Modem/radio upgrade via ODIN?

I just downgraded to android 4.1 via odin.
How do I upgrade the modem only, so that I can flash cm11?
I have a 256 kpbs connection, so it would be better if theres a odin flashable modem only, instead of downloading the whole stock 4.2 firmware

Probably after few hrs... my brother n I share the same laptop...so u need to way a bit till I get my hands back on it..
Check my thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2496989
CM11 won't work on 4.1.2 cuz there are many other changes barring the modem including CSC, bootloader, partition and some other stuff.
