[Q] Pattern unlock options - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I am wondering if all Note 2s allow for using gmail account to unlock phone when you are unable to remember pattern lock. I, Myself, do not have a problem, however, I have seen people mention they can unlock the phone if too many unsuccessful attempts are made at trying to unlock the phone. I do have a gmail account which is linked to the phone. I have tried 100 times to get it to give me the option to use the gmail account without any avail. I am a ATT user, was wondering if this might have something to do with it. The phone is not rooted. Any ideas? Also, it doesn't give me a countdown timer saying try again.
Thanks

D850 LG G3 Was Completely Locked Out?

So I've had my phone for almost a year now and I've had the same knock code since the day I bought it, and the same backup pin I've been using on my phones for ~3 years. and the same Gmail password I've had for probably 2 years, and all of a sudden, it decided it wasn't going to accept my knock code and locked me out after five attempts. I tried using the backup pin and it failed. I tried logging into my gmail on the account. Invalid username or password. At this point, thinking I'd somehow magically been hacked, I decided to try logging into my gmail on my computer and I was able to using the exact same password as I had not 30 seconds earlier on my phone which had failed. So my password hadn't changed, so I tried it again on my phone slowly another 3 times and it still failed. Check my device history. The only devices logged in were my phone and my computer. I went to Android Device Manager on my computer and sent a lock request. That didn't work but the message popped up. On a whim I tried sending a ring request. That worked. So I read that by pressing "Yes" on the factory data reset options after holding down Lock + Vol Down will actually take me to the recovery menu. Well, that was a lie and all my crap is gone but at least I got into my phone I guess. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had any idea as to why this happened.
tl;dr
My stock 5.0.1 AT&T LG G3 no longer accepted my knock code, my backup pin, or my gmail account even though I was able to access my gmail from my computer and I ended up reading a lie that ended up resetting my phone. Why did my phone no longer accept any of the passwords that I knew with 100% certainty were correct?

Locked Out Of My Phone

My 14 month old daughter got a hold of my phone and the fingerprint scanner asked me for my backup password. I proceeded to enter my password of 25 years and it told me i was wrong, it then gave me the option to use my gmail account to verify and unlock, i did that got in and replaced fingerprint with password protection. so here i am thinking everything is great, wrong. phone locks and i put in my password that i just changed it to and it tells me im wrong and now it does not give me the option to verify with my gmail account. Ive tried searching how to get into phone, suggestions were Android device manager which only locks phone and when i tried to change the password it said my phone was already locked and that the password would not be used. so the other suggestion was Samsung Find my Mobile but i have never set up a Samsung account. woe is me. Besides a master reset is there anything i can try? Thanks for all the help.

Grandpa got locked out of phone after factory reset - no google password.

Been a long time since I've posted here!
My grandpa has a Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime. Its his first smart phone, and despite "easy mode" he managed to screw up a bunch of settings. He decided to do a factory reset, however now the phone requires that you "Verify your account" by entering the gmail password associated with his account.
He does not know this password, nor did he set up any secondary verification.
The phone is on my Tmobile account (that I activated). Is there any way to recover the phone or perhaps root it? The people at the Tmo store basically told me its bricked because of this "safety feature".
I see that there are a number of ROM's out there, but I cannot enter the developer option since the phone is stuck in google setup.
Any ideas would be really appreciated, thank you

Click to collapse
Brings back memories.
Sorry to say that I've been in your situation trying to fix my boss' daughter's phone haha
I'm sure there is a way to remove that "feature" so that it will never ask you to "confirm" your previous google account, but I do not know the method.
I took it to a repair center, the guy obviously didn't tell me how he did it (all I know is that he hooked it up with a USB cable and did something with the computer)
So there is a way but I researched and got nothing, this is a well hidden secret, maybe.

Looking for help or ideas to remove PIN from Pixel 2 XL for Wido

A good friend of mine passed away last October and his Wife is trying to unlock his phone to see if there is any last messages or pictures she does not have. His phone is disconnected and has been off and not received an OST update since at least October 10 2019.
Here are a few idea's / things I have tried
1] Reached out to a friend that works at google and offered to provide a death certificate but was told under no circumstances would they unlock his account.
2] Tried to recover his gmail login because I have access to his secondary email account but he never used the google account to send emails so no idea what login his account is even under.
What I am looking for is any additional ideas or suggestions. I found a tool called Dr. Fone that sounds like it might be able to remove the PIN without wiping his phone. Has anyone used this app before and had luck? Are there any other ideas or workarounds I am not thinking of?
Thanks in advance
Dan
Unless the wife can remember his pin or his google account password you're likely out of luck. You might as well try the Dr. Fone software, though I've never heard of it, especially as Google will not help anyone for security reasons.
Curious
I can sometimes brake into my password in my cell by trying over a few times and causing a glitch, just try until it has an error. Also by any chance did she ever use a regular computer at her phone login or maybe send someone an email so you can at least get the address? If you can find the address it is usually pretty easy to get a password so if she had written it or sent an email or anything that is a great start.
You would have more luck with the Google in reality...starting here: https://support.google.com/accounts/troubleshooter/6357590?hl=en#ts=6357650
