Want to buy this brilliant phone , but I'm worried for brake problem
Does pressing power and volum down button brakes the phone or this problem has been solved for new phones?
Is this a hardware fault ?
This is so weird
What you mentioned is volume up + power button which was supposed to brick the phone. Actually people tested it without harm. By the way you don't need it, you need volume down + power for recovery and stuff.

Holding down Voum Down + Power for more than 10 seconds will brake the phone or not ?
see this :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905097
Is this bug already solved ?
It just happened to someone, I tried it and my phone is fine. I don't see why you would do that tough, you don't need to hold for 10 seconds

The spec of the phone seems perfect , What's the problems ?
Well it's not going to be updated to jb by HTC. Plus the 1ghz and 512mb of ram are good but not amazing. If you want to buy it for around 200 euros, take a look at the desire x instead. Bigger screen (with same resolution so the one V's screen is a little better) but it has removable battery, dual core processor and is officially updated to jb. The only issue is that you can't record videos at 720p,just 480. You can find it NEW for 200 euros. I'd personally go for that

Yeah same as what mr_booby said . try to get a higher spec phone . this phone to me has little support from htc and it lacks features that most android nowadays normally have such as dual core processor, front facing camera, higher ram, etc

Dual Core phones are good battery eaters
Then I prefer One Core phones
Is this true ?

Hi all,
I have been using a HTC Desire Z. I was wondering if it is a worthy upgrade to the One X? My main dislikes are the non removable battery and no micro SD card. Is there other features would convince me to get this device?

U can upgrade to One X as it has all the good features like TEGRA 3, Quad Core, Good Battery Life, Good Performance as compared to many other phone as I've seen the Benchmark Results
Its a good phone for Entertainment, Gaming, Socialising, Busines & Everything that wherever U go u wont feel like ( O i'm missing this feature or.... hmmm).

It looks good and feels good in the had but im afraid it breaks easily+if it wasnt for our devs this phone would lag like as if it was htc inspire. Is just annoying ow htc doesnt care at all and the funny thing is the way how they address the issues, instead of admitting their fault and trying to fix things they act like as if they are a alreadg highly established brand that is a leading supplier in the industry and no matter what they do still customers will buy their phone but truth is that customers might buy their phone once but when they see they got screwed because their quad core phone performs like a normal phone and pieces start to fall slowly then they go to samsung which btw is way much more dev friendly

Define "special" in the context of a phone. It has the best screen out there, the CPU for which all the best games are optimized, the best UI OEMs ever made, build quality is superb, battery lasts for 5 hours when watching movies... I guess you thought it will also do your laundry and now you are disappointed of it not being that "special".
To OP: I came from Desire HD which was referred as the "big brother" of the Z. I am really happy with my purchase. Though having ICS with sense 4 on the DHD, the difference in the screen and the overall experience is amazing. That's all I can tell you.

In 1 word: ABSOLUTELY
In more words: Your issues with non removable battery and no micro SD card are irrelevant, cuase it has excellent battery (will get even better with SW updates) & 32 GB onboard + 25GB Dropbox + SKYDRIVE + GoogleDrive. And the phone has some CLASS. Definitely UPGRADE.
Well thing is 3G in Australia isn't very good and I do believe that storage will be in the cloud in the future. I personally have stopped using the Sense UI since its so bloated.

Easy peasy. You unlock it via HTCDev. But just for the Tegra model. The US version from AT&T is a world of hurt.

Hello everyone,
I had a HOX one month ago and everything was ok, no defects at all, the only issue I had is that my device was getting too hot,
it was so annoting, it gets hot over simple tasks, like using facebook app, or whatsapp, so is there any solution for this issue??
I've had mine for more than an month now and it has never been even slightly warm, even while charging...
Might be something wrong with your phone?

Can you please give more info. Like custom rom or stock.
Rooted/"unrooted"
Which rom
Which kernel
Anything else that might be useful. Anyway I had a similar problem, so might be able to help, but remember the more info the better. Its pretty hard to say by just reading the OP.

It's the same with cars. The bigger the engine the more heat gets produced.

Kernel is most responsible for the heat. I suggest to change that first. You might want to go for any ROM with base 2.05.x and the stock kernel for that. Those roms include Arhd(7.2), Viper and Maximus by football

what is the best rom for the hox?
different people prefer different roms... i think roms like arhd, cm9 and etc are like comparing a lambo and a ferrari.. most roms are pretty good compared with stock... its more of what u need it for... if u take the lambo maybe it has greater top speeds but suck at cornering and vice versa... hehe... anyway my advice is as long as it is not stock you will definitely feel the difference...
Sup guys/gals, this is my first issue with hardware or build quality today I noticed my screen rocks side to side mainly when pressing the top 2 corners of the device I just updated arhd 9.4.0 with st and noticed a price drop on mc3 so I played that for 30min the device become extremely hot then I noticed the screen issue. I would like to hear if you've had this issue and how you got it fixed was it covered under warranty even with bootloader relocked? btw I'm on three UK

That is clearly a hardware / manufacturing defect, so they will most probably fix it despite the unlocked bootloader. But like the poster above me said, relock the bootloader and flash the correct RUU before taking it back.
Lol definitely shouldn't move I think gameloft killed my screen as I've never noticed any problem before I'm more worried about three saying I must cover the costs as they've tried several times with my n96, n97, x10i but I stood my ground and got all of these phones for free in one contract at no extra cost I'm guessing it wont be as smooth when they see bootloader relocked

Also, I want all of you to test this, if you run your finger along the chin of one v while its charging, (and you're not wearing any rubber paddings on your foot), can you feel a mild electric current? It goes away when not on charge.

IMO, I think HTC devices are better. Every Nokia I have had has been junk. Not sure/don't understand why everyone likes Nokia so much.
My one v is awesome, runs great. Only issue is grip of death signal issues. Are you going for CDMA or gsm?
Also I'm not sure what the Nokia you are looking at is. If its android, check out their development scene. If its slim pickings, you may be stuck on ICS or jb for a long time to come. A few devs for a device go a long way.

I'm either going with Virgin mobile $35/month if I get this or T-mobile $30/month if I get the 620. So a CDMA 1V as It's cheaper for the CDMA model. Does skype on android support rear camera video?
Not sure about Skype, it should work though. I am on the VM 35 a month plan and its great. Signal strength is just as good as my friends with sprint phones.
I do recommend groove IP for internet calling. Its a good alternative to using up cell minutes.
