I flashed original image t bfn ended update (value package), then rooted and used FreeGee to put on TWRP.
Can I flash value package again without losing data or does that wipe everything and do I have to re-root?
I used TiBU so my apps will still be around.

It depends on if you have the full update ROM included or just the software add on.

Any stock kernel?

I'd just make a cwm backup of your stock rom. Then go back and fourth. Its what I do without any issues at all. I just have to clear my play store data as I have market problems after but that's it.

Yes I have a back up so I don't need to flash a stock kernel or will the back up will do the job

When you restore from the nandroid backup you'll get the kernel you had before. So you'll have the stock kernel again when you restore

I have used odexme.apk to reodex my rom, but I found something I am wanting to do on my rom but I need to be deodexed. How can I do this?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Not sure if it will work but just try to restore to the backup you made before you used the odex me app.

Either that or reflash the rom without wiping data, just wipe cache and dalvik

Stock rooted ROM wont be able to get the latest ota?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
I think you will need to be back on stock with a stock recovery. I tried flashing an ota a while ago when was stock rooted and it failed at 25% or somewhere in there
Sent from my SGS3
Yes and you need to be unrooted as well. You can use OTA Rootkeeper from the market to temp un-root, take OTA and the re-root.
I have the stock recovery, and I do have that app. I'll give it a go.

Where would one pick up just the stock recovery that they had in UVLH2?

If you have Mobile Odin you can load up the whole FW and then pick only recovery to flash.
Also Cybernook has a stock recovery a few threads down, but we are not sure which version it is.
Or if you can wait just a bit ill get it uploaded and get out the link.

Ah, yea forgot. Yea I still have the h2 image I used somewhere but forgot mobile Odin can flash just the recovery section of that.
Thanks!

The OTA isn't available to everyone yet. My phone is stock and not rooted and the OTA doesn't show up yet.

I was using odin to flash cwm in order to root my s3 and instead of clicking pda I clicked bootloader and flashed it. Phone still works but in recovery it cannot mount the sdcard int or ext to root. How can I flash back to stock bootloader? I rooted before but by accident and in a rush I clicked bootloader and not pda. Please help thanks

Is it the recovery.img or recovery.tar file I need to flash under bootloader?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Can I just flash stock rom via odin? Someone surely knows the answer.

Solved. Thanks for the help

So what did u do to fix it
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
There apparently was some sort of update by sprint that kept cwm recovery from mounting sdcard and internal memory. There is a fixed recovery method on xda somewhere that allowes access so I then flashed the stock rom

I have done bricking my phone similarly a couple of times but ODIN saved me. I had to install the stock recovery and stock ROM a couple of time repeatedly to get it back to working state. Then, installed the CWM recovery and rooted the phone.
Cwm only worked once for me. Next time I went to used it it would say could not mount sd card or even the int. After reading on here there was a post about it and someone modified it so it would mount and could be used. Saved my ass lol

I'm currently running stock
de-bloated... Was on CM 10.1 but was still to buggy for me.
My question is has anyone ran into any problems restoring to original CWM backup's ? I thought I saw someone mention something about having trouble but can't find the post.
And by original I mean rooted with loki-fied recovery already installed.

I currently flip back and fourth between my personal debloated stock and CM10.1, and I have not had any issues.
It could be because I always wipe everything including internal SD.
