Hi!
Not rooted yet, but a bunch of people is waiting for it.

the folks who bought that from ATT are so desperate for root, I guess they'll post any where to try and make it happen.

Hi Wase4711,
There is also Bell/Telus/Rogers (i467m) from Canada that is waiting for root including me
I have one, and it's really a great product! :good:

yeah, I have the 5110 wifi version, and its fantastic, AND its rooted....there was no way I was giving ATT another device to charge me a fee for data on, and since wifi is virtually everywhere, and where it isnt you can just tether, I saw no reason to buy a device that needs/eats ATT data...

I have mine rogers i467 rooted.

Hi XDA members,
Here is something that might help to root AT&T LTE Galaxy Note 8 (i467). A guy has rooted successfully his Note 8 LTE (i467m) from Rogers carrier.
Now the thing is, I'm not sure if they are the same for Galaxy Note 8 LTE (i467) & (i467m). <--- Because I dont know much about Android stuff
I have (i467m) from Bell Canada carrier and it should be the same as Rogers (i467m).

I've had success rooting my Rogers SGH-I467M with the NH-5120 CF-Auto-Root tool.
You can grab it here.. use at your own risk!

Cspire is another phone wireless provider. Cspire also sells the Galaxy s3 so this is for their variant of the s3 hence the "Cspire" in the name also lets you know it isnt for the sprint s3 named D2SPR

It's for cSpire, yet, it's for the same model as our devices, the SPH-L710. This leads me to think it's compatible with the Sprint variant. I'd get a confirmation from the OP prior to flashing this on your SPRINT device.

the Cspire variant of the sgs3 doesnt have its own section or subforum here on xda. But i believe theyre able to post roms kernels ect in this section as long as it clearly states its not meant for the sprint galaxy s3(D2SPR) so people dont flash it
Yes ROMs are compatible just like the boost mobile leaks of the epic touch variant on the sprint variant and vice versa
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Cspires is actually SCH-L710 and is very similar to sprints. If you look around you'll see that almost no site (other than sextape's)offers support for it and most cspire users go to sprints section first. If you are on sprint do not attempt to flash this to your device.

you should return it and wait for the T-Mobile's LTE S3 version:

No point in getting an out-dated phone
You should of went to radioshack then used the gs3 hspa model for a month until the lte one arrived. There's gonna be a lot of pissed off customers, I would have been one of them if I didn't leave T-Mobile for sprint a few months ago lte is worth the wait .I thought hspa was fast buy it don't compare.

Since you are on MAC, you might want to check out this thread: Rooting JB OTA from OS X (no flash counter).
I'm a PC guy so I am not sure it is possible or not but you might be able to boot Linux from a liveCD and use ADB to root it that way. That is if you know how to use ADB/SDK. MintLinux and PuppyLinux are both pretty good versions to do that with.
Good luck and welcome to the forums.

I recommend installing Swipepad, fantastic app. It's basically a quick launcher for any app off any screen you're in.
If you wanna switch keyboards then Def go with SwiftKey Flow beta. The beta isn't on the play store tho. You have to download it off the SwiftKey website. Non root required btw. Just hit download then open the file. Nova Launcher is my favorite launcher. Battery Stats Plus and Pocket are nice apps also. Must have Flipboard as well.

Our current phones will not support LTE and would need to upgrade to the ones coming out here in the next couple months.
I see no reason to waste monies like that as HSPA+ is fine and won't be a hog on the battery.

I disagree here. I had an HTC thunderbolt before the S4 and it took them forever to get 4.0 eventhough every similar phone already had it on other carriers.
With all the custom ROMs out, really? A *lack* of an update is reason to switch carriers?
Obviously, I'm not putting enough weight on my ROM when picking a carrier.

This HERE^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is the QUESTION!!! Because I'm use TMO GN2 on AT&T and I get LTE no problem. And keep in mind I didn't perform any hacks to get it to work. Just flashed a at Rom, unlocked it that's it. Works like a champ with the att SIM.
One thing I will note that the AT&T Rom, changes the TMO model#. To the AT&T model# I317. Not a big deal, but might possibly why!

You can flash either the AT & T or T-Mobile ROMS on your Note2, just make sure not to install AT & T Note 2 modem on your T-Mobile phone.
If you flash the latest Modem/Radio from T-Mobile section , you should be able to get LTE working.

Do you know what you're talking about?? Is the question!
But for your info, yes you can flash a AT&T Rom on your T-Mobile GN2.
Just as the last poster stated!!
Because most Rom's DO NOT include the modem bin... so that's why there cross flashable FYI..
As you can see in the screen shot I'm running Skynote on a TMO GN2 with, ABSOLUTELY no problems!!
There practically the same device. With a different modem for the carriers!

Sprint G2

So I've been playing with the sprint version of the G2 for a few days now and once I'm able to put it on my account I'll be rooting it. One problem though... I can't find the sprint section of the G2. Usually xda is pretty quick to have a section up before the phone is released. This phone comes out next week.
Anyone know where I would go for everything on the sprint version? Or am I a little too early... Lol

Picked one up at lunch today from a Sprint employee selling on CL. It wont connect to LTE at my house through my cell booster. S4 and Note2 had no problems connecting to LTE here. When I was in town earlier the G2 had no probs with LTE. I wonder what's different about it.
It has some band 25 issues that will be fixed in an update soon after launch I believe.

Funny you mention that, I just saw it connect to LTE for a split second. The odd thing is the eHrpd speeds are ridiculous compared to my note 2. 1.8mbps, i've never seen it that fast before. I was lucky to see 0.3mbps when it would switch to 3g on my Note 2.

Sorry that this seems irrelevant, but whats the number name of the Sprint variant? I mean like D801, D802, D803...
What are those called, specifically?
Thanks!

Just ran a speed test on my note2 before I go to sprint to get the G2:
129 ms ping, .47Mbps, and .66Mbps - let's see if the G2 can perform better I won't expect it to, but that would really be a nice surprise.
Anyone having LTE B25 connection issues?
I called Best Buy this morning to see where my phone is, they said it should ship today... He then asked if I would be willing to go to the store and pick one up instead. I said Hell yes, so I just got my confirmation that it would be ready today. Nice customer service for a change!
