Where to check bootloader version? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

This might seem like a dumb question, but I'm honestly not sure where I can find it.
Edit: just found a system info app finally saw what version I'm in just want to make sure I'm ready for new 4.3 goodness

Just wondering, do you have busybox installed? I wonder if that might help out with some of the commands being unrecognizable.
Yeah. I thought that may be the problem so I downloaded a busybox installer off of the market and installed the newest version.

You need a kernel with loop device support. Yours doesn't appear to have it based on that screenshot.
Try
cd /sdcard/ubuntu
sh ubuntu.sh
Make sure you have the sh file and Ubuntu img file in a folder named ubuntu on the root of your SD card
Looks like you trying to mount it to the external SD.
F#*@king auto-correct.

Ubuntu doesn't install. It runs the img using terminal emulator and the GUI is displayed by the vnc player. Somebody, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh. The instructions said to mount it on an external sd card. I'll try mounting to my internal storage in a bit.
[Update] I got it to work, thanks for the help.

I think it does install, just to a separate partition. Then you "boot up Ubuntu" using a terminal emulator and control it through the vnc client. That should answer ebatr8's question too.

I meant 800x480. I'm not really sure why I put 480x480. 800x480 works awesome. Does audio work for you? I tried playing a YouTube video and there was no audio output.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
No. I haven't figured how to set up audio. Maybe someone here could shed some light. Also was trying to figure out how to right click.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Right clicking depends on what input method you are using. Some of them you tap and hold, some of them you double tap and possibly hold.

I am getting the identical Error the OP is getting. I have the latest BB installed and am going from the internal sd.
Is there a specific kernel or rom i need to be on for this to work?

Read only init.d script

Anyone know how to save settings through Voltage control to the init.d script? I have an error message coming when I choose save to boot settings and check on init.d script. It says that it cannot write to mkdir said it's read only.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Does anybody have knowledge on this?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Yeah you have to mount system as rewritable. Then when you are done mount it as read only.
This is a VERY BASIC thing to know when working custom roms on Android. I suggest google as a good starting point. Not sure if you know, but you can use google to only search this website if you prefer that interface over XDA's built in search (I know I do).
Here is a link to get you started.

Even another person suggested root explorer. Try estrongs file explorer its free.

Root explorer, within the directory there is a button on the top right that by default says "R/O", tap it and it will change to "R/W", then you can do your thing
Ok, I just want to Know how to make programs, like voltage controls and system tuner pro save everything to the init.d script not the post startup process. Is not much i'm asking for just a guide.

Google wallet is locked, in that everytime you open the app, you need to input your password. So unless they know the pin, they won't have access. Additionally, you can set up an additional screen lock pin.

I home you mean "a part of" SD partitioned to ext4.
A2sd finds it, claims to try to mount, you restart, and then a2sd again repeats the same finding and mounting....in circle.

ClockWork Mod Recovery 6.0.2.5 Not Showing Any Backup Files

I just flashed CWM Recovery 6.0.2.5 onto my galaxy nexus. However, I really would like to delete some backups because the space is becoming much too scarce (10MB left!).
I tried to find a "clockworkmod" folder with the backups in my phone's storage space but nothing seems to be there. I have tried for a few weeks to do this and still cannot find any such folder with the backups. I have even tried showing hidden files in the windows explorer but to no avail.
Someone - please, please help! I couldn't do anything in the past few days with such low storage!
You need to use a root explorer and go to /data/media/

Do you have any specific commands to suggest?
