I would try TWRP too. Just download the goo manager app, and flash TWRP. It should be easy.

Wildfire S recovery error

NEED some help. I had TWRP loaded on my Htc Wildfire S. I tried to Flash CM 7.2 but it said FAILED. So I installed CWM through ROM manager. The problem is now I cant get into recovery. When I try to boot in recovery the phone starts up normally. I tried it a lot of times. Still no success. PLEASE help me.!!!
Install TWRP 2.2.0.0(not 2.3).....it works fine for CM7.2
The new recovery doesn't recognize old updater scripts....which is why dont used the new version
You can find it here

I want to use CWM. I found a lot of guides describing how to install custom rom through CWM. How can I remove the TWRP and have only CWM (I think I have both in my system)

If you flash a recovery.... It overwrites the previous one.... Just flash CWM via rom manager

[Q] CWM stopped working after update to CM10.1.2

Using CWM to flash the ROM, I updated CM10.0 to CM10.1.2. After that I could no longer get into recovery mode. It's as if CWM is just not there.
What can I do about this?
Thanks for any help.

Reboot to Recovery flash a new CWM, if you cannot go to recovery, go to download mode, flash a new CWM via odin

[SOLVED] Stuck on bootscreen

Hey EveryOne...
I've SG Note2 n7100 was on stock and updated to 4.3, I just wanted to install any custom ROM so I tried to flash recovery from this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2531965, It says, just install recovery and flash whatever rom you want, so I successfully flash Phillz recovery, and backup of my stock ROM, after backup I just wipe all data to install a new rom after that I tried to flash a ROM probam_kk_1.2.5_d800 during flashing status 7 error occur, so i just go back to wipe all data, and restore my rom, but after restoring I am on bootscreen and nothing.
What should I do?
I am downloading latest firmware from Sammobile and there is a tutorial says it can be flash via Odin, so could this will help me?
Or I just download any other Rom and give it a try?
PS.. the device was not rooted, was on Pure Stock..
Sorry for my English..
and Thanks for your cooperation.. :fingers-crossed:
Status 7 is usually when you are using an older version of recovery. Which version of phils are you on? You probably just need to update that while you are flashing a recent rom

If your flashing omni rom I think you need the latest version of phils or the latest version of twrp. I had the same issue on my galaxy tab 2 with omni. Updated to latest twrp and it flashed no problem.

Thanks for your cooperation kind Sir..
I heard that latest version of philz will get you into the bootloop, and majority on this forum said that philz 5.00.5 is the best recovery that don't take you to the bootloop, and also I've backup my stock rom in philz recovery if I flashed newer recovery will I be able to restore my stock rom?
Or can I leave all this and just go for the flash stock Rom via odin? Will this help?

I think the later versions of phils recovery can have issues with aroma which Omni doesn't use. If it were me I'd flash the latest twrp and install Omni with that as the Omni team use twrp for there ota's. You can flash twrp through phils recovey and vice versa. If you want to restore your back up just flash back to phils first or do a new back up with twrp

Just note, to install 4.4.2 roms you need on 4.2 STOCK, then flash newer recovery->flash it. Now just go to download mode and flash 4.2 STOCK via odin, flash CWM and 4.4.2 roms
Press thanks if my post helpful

Try to install the CWM mentioned in pawitp's CM11 thread. It should work for all Kitkat ROMs.
Another possible problem is incorrect driver installation or damaged USB cable, that maybe what's preventing your device to download from Odin.

Q>Where Can I download the gapps of CM 12.1 for T999

I want to flash the CM 12.1 to my T-Mobile Galaxy S III but I don't know where to download the gapps for the latest nightly here
i also dont know if T-Mobile is arm, arm64, or x86
so I cant download in this site from cynogenmod
another question- is it the Cyanogen Recovery from this link will be use to flash the ROM or it is the recovery that will be use after flashing the CM12.1?
Use the ARM gapps.
I recommend using either Philz Touch recovery or TWRP, both of which can be flashed using Odin.
I have never used Cyanogen's recovery but have had great success with Philz and TWRP.

thanks on your reply but I already solve it using the recovery from ROM manager app that I downloaded in the Play store but there is still a problem on it when I update using CyanogenMod updates it will fail to flash automatically after clicking install, so I still need to flash it manually, that's why I still need to flash the recovery provided with CyanogenMod
I have never used the recovery from cyanogen so I don't know if it will automatically dirty flash the update. I also don't know if the cyanogen recovery can flash other zips such as supersu, different gapp versions, etc.
Automatic flashing is not something I like to do because a nightly can cause problems. By using twrp, I can easily make a nandroid backup before flashing a new nightly.
Just tried the Cyanogen recovery and, after downloading a nightly update, I click install and it reboots to recovery and dirty flashes the updated ROM; however, the Cyanogen recovery would not flash the LP Gapps while Philz and TWRP were able to flash the Gapps. Also, the Cyanogen recovery does not have an option to create a nandroid backup.
