You can just use the default browser in CM7... Why go through all the trouble to install the JB browser on GB when you already have a browser for GB?

JB and GB browsers are actually quite different, if you have not noticed.

My question to him is why would he want a JB browser on CM7 when CM7 has its own browser application?

JB browser has added functionality and is somewhat faster too, compared to GB/CM7 browser.
To OP: No, you can not use JB browser on CM7, CM7 can't understand such high API level. You could try using a third-party browser from Play Store.

Did you mean CM7 or CM9?
CM7 has themes so it's more customisable, faster than stock w/o the bloat and has performance tweaks. I always find cyanogen mod much more snappy and a good eyecandy
I mean CM7, because CM9 is not finished yet.
Can I use the normal launcher (Sony Ericsson Home Launcher)? I don't like the ADW Launcher.
Is it possible to run CM7 with the stock kernel?
Tweak to increase internal storage. Can I install this tweak to increase my storage? If I have CM7.
And is the Xperia play launcher included?
I did the internal storage tweak on miui so I think it should work on cm7. I don't think you can run cm7 with the stock kernel. Never tried it though. You can use any launcher you like, just take the apk for it and put it in the system/app folder and give permissions.

What do you mean it's not finished? Sure, not all the menus have all their options, themes aren't done, and if you don't use doomlord/keiran's ics kernels, you'll have issues with deep sleep, but overall a good daily driver.
Yes, you can use another launcher in CM7, you just need to install it.
No. you need to use a CM7 kernel
I don't know (I have the R800x, so I can't do that )

Good.
I downloaded the latest Cyanogen Mod for the R800i.
-> Link for the Stable Cyanogen Mods for R800i.
But there is no kernel? Where I can download it?
And is the CM7 kernel buggy? Because I read in a thread that the stock kernel is the best one for the R800i.
Thanks for helping

Yes, to my knowledge, FXP handles the weekly builds for CM (they're working together, I read it somewhere, but can't find it now) and they have two threads in android development subforum (CM7.2 & CM9))
I will decide tomorrow. Thx For the help

So, I'll take FXP, CM9 is ICS right?
Has someone experience with FXP?
And how I should flash that? Is there a good guide / tutorial, that shows which steps I should do?

1. Make sure you have all the drivers installed, made a nandroid backup and have an usb cable, usb port and your phone near you.

How to do this? My phone is not rooted yet and I have no CWM.
Also download the Gapps suited for your rom of choice and put the zip file on your memory card. This is google play, maps etc. I strongly advise you to install this.

I already said that I don't like ADW Launcher, where can I download Sony Ericsson Home Launcher?
Press wipe data/factory reset. After that, also wipe your cache.

Where?
How can I change after installing FXP-CM9 the bootscreen?
Thats all for now

Well to address some things, you have to make a nandroid backup in CWM. Which means you'll need to root and install CWM first.
Wiping data/factory reset and wiping cache are both options in CWM.
Not really sure about changing the splash logo, it's gotta be built into the kernel.
You can't change the logo for the kernel on initial boot, but you can change the boot animation that comes after it.

No. Give up.

if you are running 2.3 Gingerbread you will not be able to install Chrome for Android. The only way to install Chrome for Android at this point in time is to be running Android 4.0 ICS, which is quite easy to flash on your Desire. I've tried every single ICS rom available at this point for the Desire and the best one that i've come across is BCM.
That's pretty much the truth. You'll need to have ICS running to use Chrome.
I'm currently using ICS Beta for Desire, and Chrome is seriously something good.
Take the plunge, you'll be surprised just how stable the ICS roms are now.
I recommend you ICS passage for this feature and more .. you can choose what you prefer foe ex reading here

Stock ICS/JB People.apk on SGNII, Is it possible?

hi,
as it's stated in the title, Is there any way to replace Samsung's contacts app with stock ICS/JB People app on our SGNII?
Thank you.
Similar question: Is it possible to get the stock ICS/JB messaging app on the SGNII?
I tried installing an mms.apk from an old CM10 rom I had for my sgs2 but it kept saying that it was replacing a system app and would fail, but when I looked in system/app I couldn't find another mms.apk
still waiting for an answer ...
