Did you mean CM7 or CM9?
CM7 has themes so it's more customisable, faster than stock w/o the bloat and has performance tweaks. I always find cyanogen mod much more snappy and a good eyecandy

I mean CM7, because CM9 is not finished yet.
Can I use the normal launcher (Sony Ericsson Home Launcher)? I don't like the ADW Launcher.
Is it possible to run CM7 with the stock kernel?
Tweak to increase internal storage. Can I install this tweak to increase my storage? If I have CM7.
And is the Xperia play launcher included?

I did the internal storage tweak on miui so I think it should work on cm7. I don't think you can run cm7 with the stock kernel. Never tried it though. You can use any launcher you like, just take the apk for it and put it in the system/app folder and give permissions.

What do you mean it's not finished? Sure, not all the menus have all their options, themes aren't done, and if you don't use doomlord/keiran's ics kernels, you'll have issues with deep sleep, but overall a good daily driver.
Yes, you can use another launcher in CM7, you just need to install it.
No. you need to use a CM7 kernel
I don't know (I have the R800x, so I can't do that )

Good.
I downloaded the latest Cyanogen Mod for the R800i.

But there is no kernel? Where I can download it?
And is the CM7 kernel buggy? Because I read in a thread that the stock kernel is the best one for the R800i.
Thanks for helping

Yes, to my knowledge, FXP handles the weekly builds for CM (they're working together, I read it somewhere, but can't find it now) and they have two threads in android development subforum (CM7.2 & CM9))

I will decide tomorrow. Thx For the help

So, I'll take FXP, CM9 is ICS right?
Has someone experience with FXP?
And how I should flash that? Is there a good guide / tutorial, that shows which steps I should do?

Also download the Gapps suited for your rom of choice and put the zip file on your memory card. This is google play, maps etc. I strongly advise you to install this.

How can I change after installing FXP-CM9 the bootscreen?

Well to address some things, you have to make a nandroid backup in CWM. Which means you'll need to root and install CWM first.
Wiping data/factory reset and wiping cache are both options in CWM.
Not really sure about changing the splash logo, it's gotta be built into the kernel.

You can't change the logo for the kernel on initial boot, but you can change the boot animation that comes after it.

When it boots I get a FC on Twitter and when I log in with Timescape on facebook I also get FC (yes, I did install the zip separately)
And how do I get my GAPPS back? I installed the zip but I don't see any of the apps after logging in. .
Pity, it's very unstable for me.
Lot's of FC (especially the sony.homescreen thing..), GPS doesn't work for me either.
Nice try though, looks awesome! Real pity doesn't work for me.

i think its no need as long u have the cwm recovery v2 from phiexz and ext4 partition.
nice, finally there is also a custom rom with base CM7.1
okay I'll try it. thanks for sharing
I love this rom, too bad I can't get it stable.
After a lot of tweaking it finally worked OK, but when I rebooted all the apps I installed on SD card were gone.
It made me freak out a little after putting so much time in getting it the way I wanted it.
I will definitely go back to this rom once stable (for me).
Most FC came from sonyericsson.twitter.livefeed (or something) and timescape didn't work at all.
List of issues I ran into:
Several FC: Timescape, home plug in from sony-ericsson
Disappearing apps after reboot from apps-page, no way to get them back.
Installed everything on phone, even when setting was set to "install apps to external"
Aside from that, this was an amazing rom. Love the Sony-Ericsson home tool.

[DEV] Multiboot working on BRAVO

Well, I wanted to try this, I saw it in DEFY forums and as always I thought this could work for BRAVO too.

I'll try later with GINGERBLUR!

I tried also with good results! CM7 + CM9 is a good combo - allows us to have camera working as well as the latest and greatest AOSP. It's amazing how similar the two devices are.
The trick is to correctly allocate the sizes of the 3 ext-3 fsimages based on personal use. 300 mb was way too small for me
This mod definitely has lots of quirks though...if you don't know what you're doing, it might not work.
After downloading files, I would suggest looking at this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21401063&postcount=249

if i want camera, i can simply boot into 2ndint. so then i don't have to keep reflashing cm7 if i want a working camera! it's very convenient

Please try it again.
I tried three roms at a time and worked fine for me.
CM7, CM9 and MIUI.
I will try this rom to see if there is a problem with me.
WR and Pikachu were originally made to be used with 2nd-boot, but that never worked with the Bravo. I've never tried them on multiboot. I don't normally use multi boot due to too much music on my sdcard. That, and I had problems with roms with bugs/glitches they didn't have when installed to the system.
Honestly, WR is buggy as hell. I'd release an update, but I can't get some of the tweaks to work right and there's no radio after installing the updated one. If you want an updated WR, the closest thing is my current nandroid...The only problem is its touch recovery and I've never once tried multi boot with touch recovery.
I suppose I could remove touch recovery up my nandroid later today. It has working Bravia(yes I tested before and after and I made a difference), updated beats audio, 30 step volume, cyanbread framework themeing, brews coffee, the miui explorer from Defy forum, custom framework animations, transparent status bar/notification drawer, walks your dog, and zepplinrox's scripts already ran and set up. It has everything WR had except Go Launcher and Miui apps.
Autocorrect is pissing me off. Miui was Louis, Mohican, and Minuit. And my thumb is sore now.

A little late, but superuser was broken on ICS multiboot. Its fixed on the 0417 release.
Has anyone else been having problems installing multiboot when CM9 is the primary nand rom? It installs, boots to 2nd-system, but nothing works except boot from nand. Selecting anything other than boot from nand gives me the multiboot error screen and I have to reboot. The same zip works perfectly fine with CM7.

A system installed on the sdcard tends to use a bit more battery in my experience. That and the lost gigabyte of sd storage are the only disadvantages of using multiboot.
I will add that some roms have glitches when installed to the sdcard they normally wouldn't have as a nand install. Its a hit or miss when dealing with multiboot sd roms and glitches.

[Q] Is it possible to mod Stock ROM with CM7 feats.? And maybe install Theme Chooser?

Ok I'm gonna make this quick:
I have rooted, bl-unlocked, and re-flashed my Xperia Play with CM7.
I enjoy CM7 because it comes 100% bloat-free and comes with lots of customization options, etc. But I'd lose haptic feedback and much of the gamepad functonality... I've Supercharged it (it really flies!) and customized it TO THE MAX. Everything ICS themed, system, statusbar, apps, icons, go launcher ex, go widgets, hacker's keyboard, widget locker and so on.
But I'm starting to miss the gamepad functonality, but I'd lose every customization option I've done to it, and reverting to simple old stock.
Is there a way to deodex the Stock ROM (if it doesn't come odexed) put T-Mobile's Theme Chooser and other customizations, such as battery percentage, launch Multitasking Pro by long-pressing home button, native overclocking and other stuff? Or may be dualboot or something? Every Hybrid ROM I've have seen goes more to the CM7-side rather than SEMC-side. I would be quite happy if someone showed me some kind of "guide" on how to do just that.
I already have my complete Titanium Backup backups (synced to Dropbox ) and CWM backup. I use WotanServer to get stock ROMs and I already know how to use flashtool, fastboot and CWM so I am pretty much ready to do anything to it. Just please tell me if I can mod Stock ROM, how to, and if I could put Theme Chooser in it. Thanks!
UPDATE: I have just read that DarkForestMiX "contains the best of both worlds (cm and stock)" with functional touchpads but I can't confirm... Has anybody achieved working touchpads on all games with DarkForestMiX?

Thanks... Uh... I forgot to ask another question So much curiosity...
Why are some FWs more compatible with other mods and what are the pros/cons of not using the lastest build? I mean, if I put .62 instead of .42 or .5x in what do I lose? Because for an user who is not familiar with stock builds it looks like a minor inconvenience, unless I am wrong, of course.
EDIT: [BLEEP] this! I'm removing CM7 once for all and flashing .62 for ONCE!!!!1!1!one!1 Then I will see if I regret or I am confortable with stock.
EDIT2: Wait, NO! I must first get someone to tell me a fairly easy way to deodex stock rom so I won't worry about (furthermore) modding!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is MIUI exactly ? Another custom build of Android, just like Cyagenmod is ? What are its fundamental differences compared to Cyanogemond ?
edit : wikipedia's description provided me with part of the answer, but on what basis should i choose your cyanogenmod our our miui ports ?

Thank you. For my needs, stability is more important than the UI. According to the description of both of your ROMs, the Cyanogemnod port seems to have less bugs. Can you confirm that ?

2.go in to recovery (phone power +t)
3.Format data/cache (delete all user data)
4.Flash Miui (or other Rom) (install zip from SD)
5.Reboot

Ajay, I think you must have heard it a lot, but you are great genius!
Thank you for making this rom. There are two rom 20120919.zip & 20120919-deodexed.zip, Which rom is better?

Depends, if you like modifying your rom then go for deodexed otherwise go for odexed
or you can search "the difference between deodexed and odexed" in google for better understanding (there i give you the keyword)

deodexed rom will take more space from the internal memory
since our phone have less internal memory its better to use odexed rom and also odexed will be faster
since our system memory is also less it was hard to odex it. that was why i uploaded deodexed rom.
our device is very poor

I say overclock it for about 15-20% which I think is the safest for such low frequency device, anything above it as stated will cause instability.

[JB][ICS] CRON-o-GENMOD9 / CronMod CM10: General Thread

General thread for the JB CM10/AOSP based rom by cronmod dev team here and the ICS CM9 based rom here.
Check the respective rom sites for a what's working/not working list, features and download links. Discuss general things about the rom here such as a2sd scripts and any issues
As requested by the dev for the ICS rom:
What's NOT working?
Code:
[LIST]
[*]Camera force closes while recording video
[*]Hardware decoding for video playback -> laggy playback of 720p (use software decoding in Mx Player instead).
[*]Home/Search key (use the fix over [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34075493&postcount=131"]here[/URL])
[/LIST]
Anything that isn't said there is working fine. Will update the list if others find anything that doesn't work. Before asking for help do check you have the right hboot and that the md5 is correct after you download the rom. Also make sure you perform a full wipe when migrating to these roms.
Bear in mind that ICS was not made for our devices. Do not expect the stability of GB but the devs have done a great job on this and it is quite stable and quick for daily use.
Installation for CM9 ICS rom:
Code:
[U]Full wipe recommended before each flash from new version and is NEEDED if coming from any other rom.[/U]
Partition SD card so you have less than 1.5gb in sd-ext partition and the rest as FAT32. Gparted is recommended.
Flash the rom from recovery.
Grab m2sd from [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342387"]here[/URL] (credit to dk_zero-cool) and flash it from recovery using whatever options you want (recommended by to choose apps and dalvik).
Wipe cache/dalvik and reboot :)
You can use cron's INT2EXT scripts as well from here and just flash in place of m2sd.
Feel free to ask any questions here but keep the dev threads on topic.
Anyone using the JB rom if you could post a not working list from your tests that'd be great .
Since corey moved on to JB the cron r2 hboot isn't available on the website anymore. The current version of the ICS cronmod rom still fits on to the 183mb system hboot so I thought to put this up here for those that want a bit more space in data
WARNING: The size of the system partition may increase in future so the hboot might not be compatible with future versions of cronmod cm9.
Check md5 before flashing and flash through fastboot using "fastboot flash hboot filepathAndName.img"
md5: 172965041d6483dd9e57d726096bab73

Its quite usable as a daily rom. At least I use it daily. But don't expect the level of stability like gingerbread. I mean, The kernel is still under improvement. Best way is to use it for a few days and judge yourself.

Hello,
I flashed this ICS rom just before Yasir took over and I must say I'm happy with it.
It is a bit slower than my previous CM7 rom of course but nothing dramatic, and it somehow seems more stable for some reason (GPS works, for example!).
And I still get a quite big amount of space on data thanks to the cron r2 hboot, which is great!
And I also love the CM9 tweaks.
So overall a good surprise for my first jump from CM7 roms.
But I tested Chrome and discovered it is so laggy it is unusable. Do you guys have the same issue?

Chrome isn't made for our devices. Not the best browser for us but it's great on other phones

The rom itself is amazingly quick and stable. Considering it's ICS I'd say it's the best ICS rom out right now. Haven't tried CronMod JB though.

That's a shame.
I have another question: what 3rd party app could I use for video recording?
I tried UCam and it didn't work...

I don't need video recording myself so I wouldn't know. But any camera app should work. I've heard good things about ICS Camera on market. Very close to stock camera app as well.
I'm going to be linking my friend this ROM soon-ish (once beta comes out) and she's using a BravoC on Ntelos. What kind of prep would she need to do on the phone before flashing the ROM? Like a wipe script or something to repartition or what? Want it to go as smooth as possible.

just wipe and install as listed in OP but be sure to have a ext partition if you plan to use a script

I tried it and sadly it crashes like the stock app.
Anyone knows of a working camera app that can record video with a working preview?

Using scripts is kind of new to me. I've always had devices with a lot of storage for apps. What would you recommend?

I suggest you to use INT2EXT+ with this ROM, take a look HERE.
I noticed that when i install a new app (from the market or an .apk), the system hangs for a while, sometimes it even pop with a system error, but if i select to wait the system then starts to work again, i have installed INT2EXT+ script with a 512 sd-ext partition on a Class 4 8 GB SD card. Could the low SD class can cause this problem? SD read cache is correctly set at 2 MB.
Could you amswer me whats working and whats not working in your cm9 rom? Cant find it
