I've been flashing roms a lot lately but I can't seem to back up playon. titanium backup doesn't backup the data stored on playon to find my pc. Any know how I can back it up with the settings included? Mad thanks in advance.

If I'm moving from GB to ICS can I restore my user apps with data from my titanium backup?
I can understand not restoring system apps but cannot logic out why the data from a user app would be OS specific.
Sorry for such a basic question

Yeah but only user apps, don't attempt to restore system apps though cuz that'll mess up your phone

I have installed the FF18 twice through the Odin restore installer using the one that does not preserve data, and the first time it will boot fine. But then I will restore apps with Titanium and try to reboot and it will not get past the first Samsung splash screen. Has anyone else had this issue?

Did you try to restore apps with data? And did you try to restore system data? I'd say Odin back to FF18 and just restore apps only no data restore. That maybe is causing the problem.

I restored user apps with data, no system apps or data. I will try and see if this works. I also was setting a custom DPI with DPI changer, if that could have an effect.

If those are apps that were on GB they dont play well and you have to do a fresh install.

After a long time of trying to backup and restore and having the app stall,i figured it out...sick of restoring 20 apps at a time? Well i have 150 apps and it's painful...
The problem happens when the screen goes dim for the remainder of the backup/restore process...so the solution is to have an app that keeps the screen on and set that before you do a long batch...i use widgetoid but any other app will do the same...i backed up all 150 at once and restored all 150 at once with no problems for the first time ever...must be something that happens when the screen goes dim, it must shut down the process at any given time...when you keep the screen on all the time no problem...I'm going to contact titaniun's techs so they could either fix this once and for all or add a screen always on to their app to make this work right....

Not really, but depends on what you plan on doing

Titanium backup is to back up apps and data or settings that you like. I wouldn't recommend restoring a backup to a different ROM. For example let's say I'm on wicked right now and I made a backup with titanium backup. It wouldn't be wise to move to darthstalker and restore it. It will most likely conflict with other Roms. As long as you keep track of what ROM the backup goes to you should be fine.
