Backing up playon app - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been flashing roms a lot lately but I can't seem to back up playon. titanium backup doesn't backup the data stored on playon to find my pc. Any know how I can back it up with the settings included? Mad thanks in advance.

App to sd

Quick question, when apps are moved to the sd card do they stay there when you hard reset? Can I load them back up from there after the reset? If so how? Or do I reload them all from the market? Can't find the answer in search. Thanks

In my experience, after doing a hard reset or wipe, I has to reinstall my apps from the market. Before I do something like that though, I usually sync my phone with my appbrain account. You could try the Titanium App as well.

Great thanks... Not rooted so no true backup for me... But thanks

No problem. I would suggest getting appbrain from the market and sync your apps before doing anything major.

Alternatives to titanium backup

Titanium backup hasn't wireless for me for awhile, and judging from what I've read, I'm not the only one having this problem. Are there any alternatives out there that you like? I know ROM Manager is building in this functionality, but I imagine I'll need this before they complete that.
Thoughts?

titanium backup hasn't wireless for me either,
try mybackup pro?
If you just need to backup your apps astro file manager does it.
As New said. Mybackup is a great application to back up your stuff.

Root tools does it
I like Titanium better, but I have also used My Backup with success. What ROM are you running?
CM7 RC4. Do those programs backup bluetooth pairings as well?

Use SMSBackup+ from the Google Play Store/Android Market. It connects and saves everything in your gmail under the SMS label.
I remember TB used to be able to do this when I backed up everything. I only backup apps now so that my roms dont have complications.

Backup "Dialer Storage" with TitaniumBackup, restore data.

Quick question

Do i need titanium back still even after i made a nandroid back up?

Not really, but depends on what you plan on doing

Titanium backup is to back up apps and data or settings that you like. I wouldn't recommend restoring a backup to a different ROM. For example let's say I'm on wicked right now and I made a backup with titanium backup. It wouldn't be wise to move to darthstalker and restore it. It will most likely conflict with other Roms. As long as you keep track of what ROM the backup goes to you should be fine.

Personal dictionary location

Where does the stock Samsung keyboard store all of the learned words you've added? I'd like to factory reset my phone but don't want to manually input 100s of words. I'm not looking for a suggested data backup app. I just wanna know the location of the dictionary file.
Thanks in advance.

If you have Titanium backup or another app like it, you can save the data of the Samsung keyboard and then restore it after you reset your phone

If you are looking for "words" to copy and paste, Samsungs default keyboard doesnt save them like that. You can just go into Titanium backup, save the data to an sd card and then redowbload Titanium after you reset your phone and then restore the data.
