Where does the stock Samsung keyboard store all of the learned words you've added? I'd like to factory reset my phone but don't want to manually input 100s of words. I'm not looking for a suggested data backup app. I just wanna know the location of the dictionary file.
Thanks in advance.

If you have Titanium backup or another app like it, you can save the data of the Samsung keyboard and then restore it after you reset your phone

If you are looking for "words" to copy and paste, Samsungs default keyboard doesnt save them like that. You can just go into Titanium backup, save the data to an sd card and then redowbload Titanium after you reset your phone and then restore the data.

Use SMSBackup+ from the Google Play Store/Android Market. It connects and saves everything in your gmail under the SMS label.
I remember TB used to be able to do this when I backed up everything. I only backup apps now so that my roms dont have complications.

Hi forum. Lately i have just installed apex launcher on my s3 and I'm loving the launcher. However i wanted to switch back to the stock touchwiz and found that it kept crashing on me. I've tried going to setting ms and clear the data for touchwiz. But to no avail... can anyone help me out? Are there any apk. File for me to reinstall? Much appreciated.

Are you rooted?

No. I'm still new to android.

Is it giving a force close error, or just does it just re-launch touchwiz?
It doesn't even work. Each time i select touchwiz it will just freeze and shut. It won't launch. Any idea what went wrong

He said he new to android and not rooted.
Phone Settings > Application Manager > All ....
1. Go to Apex Launcher and clear any "default"
2. TouchWiz Home > clear data / cache (this will reset/wipe settings of your hide screens etc and you'll need to set them up again)

If your not rooted and my previous suggestion didn't work,....
Back up data from internal sdcard to PC and Factory Reset.

Non-rooted: just copy any important folders etc from the internal sdcard to PC. You'll need to setup again, so make sure contacts are also backed up etc. a You may also lose allot of app data, and most can't be backed up without root. Ensure you have copy of your APN and wifi settings handy.
Rooted users: Titanium Backup app (backup app and system data) and make a nandroid backup with CWM recovery. And also copy to PC. Before restore any system app or data (red colour) with titanium, just asking for bugs.

So, I want to back up the contacts I had on my phone sim card before flashing rom -Aokp task 650-.
I really cant stand that it auto synched all my google contacts. In fact... I think the invention of synch should be completely eliminated it messes up everything.
So I only want to have phone contacts and nothing to do with any synch or email or anything. I think i been clear enough haha.
Also the jellybean limits my options about contacts and sim card and such.
So...what options do i have?
Thank you in advance.

1. Get GoContacts or GoContactsEx. You can export all your contacts into an XML file. After you load your ROM, simple import the list back.
I would strongly recommend this cos of ease. Plus, you could keep multiple copies of contacts export files.
2. In TiBu, backup contacts storage, and restore later and reboot.

Go into contacts...hit menu... select contacts to display. Then select which ones you want to display i.e. phone, Google, Facebook, etc. Or create customized list. Phone is what is saved to your phone not Google. When you flash it's basically nothing but you
So do i have to reflash the rom and wipe everything from recover?
Update!
Ok i decided to delete all and simply impirted from simcard. All is as it should be.
Thank you.

SIM card has limits on number of fields you can store. So if all you store is numbers, this method should work great.

Ultimate backup works perfectly never had a problem flashed about 100+ roms
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Had problems with Carbon, drivers are installed on my laptop but phone us not recognised when it's plugged in.
Does ultimate backup allow you back up app user data, such as game saves?
Or are there any apps that will do this?

App Back up and restore
Go backup
+1 Go backup pro the best, but I think you need to be root, at least for all posibilities
Super backup works quite well

The only solution is Carbon
My backup pro. Allows you to backup to sdcard as well as to the cloud

does it back up app data without root?
I would suggest go backup pro , backs up everything including contacts , messages, launcher layout , apps and data , supports cloud backup too , and many more features . Check it out

Can't beat go backup
I think any backup app that backs up user data requires ROOT access

When you flash a stock image, you are resetting to factory. Everything that was not backed up via a nandroid or will not be retrievable.

You can't do this now but next time you can. If you are rooted, and have titanium backup installed from the play store; you can backup your waps and passwords.
The data is stored in the data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf file.
It's kinda neat to open that file with a text editor and see the waps and passwords over time.
