i want to convert my s4 to play edition someone said it was the same hardware so can i use odin to flash stock play edition rom cause i dont want root cause i want to get ota
If someone posted an Odin flushable TAR, otherwise you'll have to flash the zip in the recovery.

No idea, the search function is your friend I've just been flashing the ROMs from the recovery.

I'm rooted/unlocked with permanent CWM.
The phone keeps interrupting me with the update notification.
It fails to install because I have CWM.
I don't want to install a new ROM, just want the update. Is there an update for 4.0.2 that can be applied through CWM? ... like an update.zip anything flashable to bring me to 4.0.2?

That wasn't my reasoning. It was a development related question about files that development would likely have. That's why I thought it was the most logical spot for it.

I checked for the ATT software update today (i am on Base Rom) and it downloaded the update but it was not able to install i saw that it went to a TWRP Recovery mode..
I have the Note 2 Rooted with TWRP Recovery.
Can some one help me how to get past this one?
You need stock recovery to install OTA updates. TWRP will not install OTA updates. Look for flashable .zip of the update.

You answered your own question. You can't do the update on custom recovery. There are flashable roms in development.

I flashed the orignal Galaxy S3 4.3 .tar through odi. everything loads but when i call it doesnt work. http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SCH-R530M
i flashed it form tht lin. i really need this problem fixed asap any methods to get it fixed, i want my orignal stock back
First, questions go in the Q&A section. Development is only for development related threads.
You have an older model for metro. You should be using the sprint forums for assitance. Its highly doubtful anything you get from here will work very well if at all.
