Lg optimus G doesnt supports wireless charging...So you have to wait if in eBay you find any case which turns on this feature on your phone. There are some.for iphone but not for Lg OG yet.But then you need to buy and a wireless charger which is pretty expensive....Think about it

Possibly be able to take the wireless charging part grin the nexus4 & use a custom rom to make it work.

why does the feature to learn other remote controls is not implented in the G pro ?
is there any technical limitations on the G pro?
are we going to see some update so we can have this brilliant feature as well ?

This was my one disappointment with the G pro's remote feature, out not being programmable via IR

Exactly. This would made this remote ultimate forever.
Actually I'm curious about this. Is it hardware limitation?

Can't the G Pro be programmed?
Is it a hardware feature/limitation?

I believe the G pro only has a IR LED and no IR photo diode, so it is not possible to receive any IR signals into the device. Whereas the G2 should have both an integrated component with both an LED and photo diode. So the G pro can only transmit and its a hardware issue. I'm assuming LG did this to save money, but its a little strange that they would go for something cheap here as the device is meant to be premium and the cost is minuscule.
Are you positive that it is a hardware limitation? The quick remote apk from a G2 could solve the problem for the g pro. I can give the apk if someone wants to try out.

Correct. I read this somewhere and cannot remember or I would provide the link. It is a hardware limitation. The phone does not have the receive part or IR only the send.

Hi all, i'm planning to buy lg g pro in India (e988). Is it a good buy? Main con seems to be locked bootloader. (Currently using atrix2,which also has locked bootloader )Any other negative points?
Other option i was considering was nexus5 but it is costlier than g pro and seems to have poor battery and camera.
So, should i go for g pro?

This is one of the most underrated devices on the market.... You cannot go wrong with it in my opinion.. Dev support is only increasing.. example is we have a stable cm 10.2 now..4.4 is already up and running and very soon official cm 11 will be here

Any answer would be speculation. We don't know.

Sorry my crystal ball is broken.
Seems it is confirmed http://www.phonearena.com/news/LG-t...devices-to-Android-4.4_id51571#2-LG-G-Pad-8.3
According to our tipster, many of LG's devices will be going straight to Android 4.4, skipping right over Android 4.2 and Android 4.3 in most cases. Among the models cited by our source are the LG Optimus F3, LG Optimus F6, LG G Pad 8.3 (including Verizon model), LG G Pro Lite, LG Optimus F7, LG-D315 (unannounced), LG LS740 (rumored to be the successor to the LG Optimus F3), LG Optimus L9 II, LG Optimus Vu II, LG Vu III, and the curvy LG G Flex.

Not sure it's confirmed. That's really just a rumor isn't it?

Nothing is confirmed until you hear an official statement from LG.
