I add soft key to my note 2 and disable hard buttons too, and everythings is ok, now i want reverse back soft key with recent app key, then every thing will be like nexus 4 softkeys

I was just thinking of this issue today.
Constantly having the same problem too...
Same thing with the Home button while its in my pocket...
I disabled my menu and back buttons completely and enabled the on screen navigation buttons. Only problems I've noticed are the stock camera app and call log don't adjust well still usable though.

I want to the left button to go back and the right button show recents like God intended. Samsung is confused about buttons. Possible?
I see CM 10.1 and other ROMs let you remap some keys, but not back.

Replying to my own post in case it helps someone else: This is possible with slim bean, which let's you remap the back key.

Can you specify which blackberry style ? Well you can disable capacitive buttons and turn on on screen buttons.

I dont know about the Z10 style but to make changes or to disable the buttons, youll need to be rooted and have a root explorer. Go into root/System/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl and open it with a text editor. Look for the keys that correspond with the soft keys on your phone and delete the line.

Is there any simple hack for the Note 2 that will allow me to reverse the capacitive buttons? The back key is too far away when using the phone left handed. Reversing the soft buttons would solve the problem for me.

The note 4 had the ability to have movable on screen nav buttons, can't seem to find this function on the 5.
Anyone know where they are, or did they deep six them?
