I was on the lastest beanstalk and I received a text while updating some random app in the play store. The phone rebooted during the process and its been rebooting since. It stops when I do a battery pull, I put the battery back in and it loads the Samsung logo and then shows the sII logo and about half way it reboots stays a black screen and boots over and over. Assuming I softbricked somehow I attempted to go into download mode and start fresh. When trying to do so it loads up the screen where it allows me to press up or down using the volume buttons but when recovery tries to load up and flashes green goes back to blacm and continues to boot over and over not allowing me to manual get into download mode nor recovery.
Any help or advice would be great thanks in advance for any willing to give suggestions!

Seems like your power buttons stuckk. Try cleaning around it with a toothpick and see if your phone stops rebooting
I was gonna try open it and clean it that way but a tooth pick sounds legit. Any advice is good thanks bros:thumbup:

So ever since I updated to the latest firmware I can't use the restart function. I'll hold the power button down and the box will pop up, I select restart, the Samsung logo appears and then the screen goes black but the bottom button lights stay on and nothing happens. It will just stay like this forever if I don't stop it myself. It's faster if I just power it off myself and restart...
Anyone heard of this happening?

this has been answered many times. use darkside cache wipe if you can find the download cause the original thread's link is dead.

Basically it just keeps resetting, after loading the splash screen it resets, after the warning message in odin it resets to a black screen that vibrates every two seconds or so. Can anyone help?
Can you get into download mode or cwm? If so you can fix it. Use search and you can easily fix it with Odin or cwm.

nope, it just reboots
I had this problem, try pressing your power button a little hard a couple times
The power button could be internally stuck, causing the phone to reset like this
Yea it was my power button, I did exactly that and now it's working again.

i think i just had this same issue. i went as far as unrooting my phone and now im thinking ok the phone works now but i wonder if it was just the power button all this time. i did have to keep pressing the power button to get it to go into recovery mode. finally got it to stop rebooting and i unrooted. thought i had a bad root. but i didn't just root the phone when this happened. i was ending a call and sitting my phone down on my work desk and then it started rebooting over and over and over again. reading this just gave me confidence in rooting again with caution and monitoring phone with one eye open like pbs,:cyclops:
So I was listening to music on my phone with slim bean and it fell behind the bed and when I found it all it does is say Samsung and vibrate in a consistent pattern. Also if I remove the battery and put it back in it vibrates as soon as battery/charger is connected. Does this mean it somehow got in bootloader mode? If so is their a way to get it out without my PC? I tried getting into twrp but. No avail.

These is a similar thread floating around here where people have had this issue when using Pandora. See if you can search for it.

Thank you, I fell into a noob panic. Thanks for calming me down lol. Looks like I may have a power button issue on my hands

No problem. I knew there was something on it but didn't know the details. People have also had a similar problem with Pandora. Don't know if that's what you were listening to, but there seems there's a problem with Pandora and the latest roms.

I was listening to music from my SD card. I got it to boot
But I didn't have the similar in and when I rebooted it it did the same thing. Also got it to load the tarp splash and it rebooted then and I can see the screen flicker like it was booting and the power button was pressed. Looks like I'm going to have to send it off. Hope I can get it replaced for free if not I'm gonna look at a different phone.

Phone is rooted but no custom firmware. Just using regular touchwiz.

Do you still have your status bar/notifications? Sounds like your launcher has been deleted or something.

Can't enter recovery or download mode. Still getting notifications and texts But still nothing on screen. I think i have to get it repaired Hope it's not too expensive.
EDIT - It's all working now 0.0 I don't know what happened, why it happened or what i did. Sitting at the pc about to email samsung about it. I press the power button in the hopes that something would appear, and the screen just turns on. WTF!
So earlier today I was using my phone in class when it suddenly shuts off. It shutting off was normal to me so like always, I take the battery out and put it back in. It turns back on gets to one of the loading screens and shuts off. My phone keeps vibrating while it's off so I don't think it could be the battery. Occasionally if I'm lucky, it would fully load to the point where I could use it but then shuts off and the whole process repeats again. I'm using the juggernaut rom if that helps.
Any ideas?
Odin back to stock and root your device and restore to your previous ROM if u have a backup of that ROM on your phone

I didn't have it in in the video and I tried it too, it doesn't do/change anything. I can get into download mode for literally a second and then the same thing just happens, it turns off and the little vibrating continues and remains in that state until I remove the battery and put it back in.

try getting into download mode without the battery. hold the buttons down and just plug in the USB.

Sounds like it could be a stuck power button...at least as I've read other descriptions of similar symptoms. Check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931310
