What about air vent mounts such as http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Universal-Ca...der_Mounts_Stands_Holders&hash=item4ac0d59a82 are they any good ?
what about suction cups http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ARKON-SM615-...der_Mounts_Stands_Holders&hash=item53fab8f27a ??
I have the Arkon one from last year. I used it with my N7 1st gen and with an iPad Mini. It worked well with both of them. It has an extra set of holders that are longer to fit larger screens and the bottom actually can pull down to extend some as well.
I ordered one of these for my 10.1" Tablet (Asus TF300T), and it works well with the Nexus 7. I think is pretty good for the price.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LRW1CC/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The suction is very good. It's been stuck on my windshield for many months without issue. The plastic itself feels a bit flimsy but still it works well, especially with a light weight tablet like the Nexus 7 (2013).
I've seen some other interesting looking mounts on ebay and amazon, but at 30+ dollars I'll stick with the one above or something similar.
What I'm wondering is if the Phablet X Mount will work with the 2013 Nexus 7. Their specs say maximum width is 4.5". The Nexus 7 is 4.5" wide, plus a little for my case. Reason I am wondering about the Phablet version is it would work with my phone too.
I have the X-Grip mounted on my motorcycle. Holds nice and steady. I have the smaller X-Grip for my SGSIII as well.

If you get a mounting disc and a quality mount like one made by belkin then you should be OK. Even still I'd restick it every couple of days.

Since there are no pogo pins, a car dock for me would have to include wireless charging. Those micro USB ports without covers are crap. Sad thing is I think just putting a cover on it would extend its longevity appreciably.

Someone said it didn't fit in one of the threads but they are trying to use it vertically. The side adapter has a cutout for the charging wire but I've noticed people miss that lol. I use mine daily on the N7 2.

So I bought this for my Galaxy Nexus and it works flawlessly. One day for ****s and giggles I wanted to see what it would look like having a Nexus 7(2013) on my dash instead of my phone so I placed it on the mount...and it stuck all by itself...like there's a magnet already in there...its not very strong but it does stick pretty well. Like it will turn to the side due to weight, but it rests on my dash. Is it bad to use that with it? The magnets and all?
What do you guys think?

I'm not the biggest fan of pouches, but the Crumena Pouch has definitely won me over. I was a bit hesitant in how my experience would turn out, but it actually went surprisingly well. I will say that using a pouch is different then using a standard case, but it is doable. I found the Crumena Pouch to be high quality and absolutely superb and I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pouch for their Galaxy Nexus. Below you can find my video review along with high-res pictures of the case.

How has the finish held up on this case? I ordered a DroidCon one back in Feb (dark grey all over, with an android in a tux), and around the bottom, where the ports are, the outer layer is rubbing off, and is white. I loved the feel of the case, but wasn't super impressed with the durability of the finish.

I've had mine for a few months and the finish is still holding up well. I only have a few small scratches along the bottom of my case, but they are very difficult to see, since it blends in. I prefer the camera cutout on the androidified a2 cases (its a bit bigger and shows the silver border, the CM case covers the border) but this case has held up a lot better. Most of my a2 cases have stained, but this one is still like new. Cruzerlite has really improved their quality with this one.
Well.... The case WAS doing well... Until I took it out of my pocket today. At least the colors are similar so its not too noticeable.

My dislike for charger wires eclipses the sun itself so I'm eager to purchase a wireless charging pad for my Nexus devices. Anyone have any experience with the ones listed on Amazon (can't post links yet)?
The Anker Qi charging pad looks like it supports the N7, but it's a bit expensive.
Verizon has an LG one that is only 39.99. I may give it a shot...

As Google went with a standardized Wireless Charging System (Qi), it makes it easier to find one that will be compatible. Unfortunately it seems that I cannot find any stores that carry chargers so I will need to look online.

My LG charger doesn't work at the moment (also purchased from the Verizon store). My N4 charges just fine with the charger. I know the LG charger is a little small but I expected it to work. I actually have two of the chargers and neither work. I am stock unrooted and updated to the latest build.
Any one else have problems with wireless charging?
Update: I exchanged my N7-2 at Best Buy and received a fully functional device. I can confirm the WCP-300 charges the N7-2. In my experience, it only charges when the charger is centered on the back of the N7-2, and you have to hold it there for a second or two.
I have an owlpad which works for the n4....no joy on the new nexus 7. I can find one spot where the light on the unit turns from green to red which means it should be charging but the nexus 7 never goes into charging mode...within 10 seconds the light on the charger goes green again.

Sorry for the pictures craptastic pictures lol, but it shows off the angle well. It sits even more firmly on the orb than the N4 (I'm guessing the glass back on the N4 just makes it more prone to slipping). The N7 doesn't slide at all while on the orb, had it charging through the night with no problems.

I've used several Otterbox Defenders and Ballistic cases, the Ballistic cases have consistently been higher quality and lasted much longer than any of the Otterbox Defenders. Ballistic makes excellent cases if you need that high level of protection. I don't use them anymore as I'm not climbing telephone poles and crawling under houses anymore, but I always had great experiences with them.

Yeah they appear to be a case seller. Don't know anything about them though. Showing pictures of the real cases would at least make things a bit better.
iTALKonline are also a case seller on Amazon, and I've had nothing but garbage product the two times I got stuff from them. I ordered a few cases from them for my parents older Xperia Ts. The cases didn't fit at all, the buttons were covered by the front lip, so you couldn't even use the phones... Never buy from them!
Anyway, even if they are a case seller, who knows if they're any good. I like those retro Nintendo designs though.

These types of cases are not for protection from anything. The most it'll protect is from scratches. It's just to kee your nexus 5 from getting scuffed up and look neat at the same time.
These are pretty sweet, but I'm really put off by the fact that there are so few reviews of their other cases. Maybe once my SAND starts showing some age I'll try one of these. The price at least is pretty reasonable

Guys don't even waste your money. This case is crap. Its pretty much a plain white case with the gameboy printed on it. I thought it would be one of them nice rubber cases for the iPhone but trust me its not. I'm in the process of getting a refund...yeah its that bad.
