[Q] Internal NAND storage became very slow - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Few weeks ago internal storage in my Note2 became very slow (especially write).
It includes both Data partition and Internal SDCard.
AndroBench shows very poor numbers (2 MB/s write and 58 IOPS).
I have tried to wipe the device, format all partitions in Recovery but it did not help at all.
What can I do?

You can do nothing, it's a prelude to SDS.

[Q] where is my memory???

Can ANYONE tell me why i supposed to have 147 mb of usable memory but i only installed like 28 meg of apps total and i dont have any memory left?
could be confusing storage space with ram? have you confirmed under storage-internal storage that you have no more memory available? are you using the stock rom?
im having this exact same issue with my internal storage. no apps installed and i only have 30mb or so on internal using 3rd sense... been trying for 2 days to get data2ext to work with no luck.
Which rom are you on?
This phone only has that much for app storage. A huge disappointment.
If you have root and a custom ROM, just do MTD partitions or apps2ext if you have an ext partition.

Lost all internal storage with Link2SD??

I was resetting up my phone and installing all my applications on a 2nd partition with Link2SD...before I reset my phone, I had around 150MB of internal storage left...but after the reset, I had 32KB left...does anyone know what happened?
Maybe after the reset, they installed to internal storage instead of the Ext partition
If you're using the latest version of link 2sd, it does that as Lordbattlebeard taught me. Use version 2.1.2

Full storage

Hi,
I've recently rooted my HTC One X (unlocked,...) Erased data and all, but i can't get all my storage... Memory in settings is showing 1 gb free of 5 gb app memory and I can't install any app, whereas the internal memory is free and has been erased as asked.
I have used factory reset, wiping data from CWM but the app memory won't get erased and still shows me 1 gb free only.
What to do to wipe EVERYTHING on the phone ?
Thanks in advance !!

You can't erase that space because it is used by system files, it's normal to get about 5 GBs used by system folders (/system, /data, /cache...)

[Q] Internal Storage

Just installed CM 11 which is about 210MB (as a zip file).
According to my phone, the internal storage is only 5.41GB. I would have expected something like 8GB-5%. I dont know wthether it's always been like this...
Any ideas, explanation etc?
It's because of the partitons of your phone
It's still the same as stock the advantage is that you can put more mods or apps into /system
System partition is 1.5gb mine with all gapps installed is 800mb free
that's where yoor missing space is

Internal Storage Memory reduced after installing custom ROM

Hi,
I just installed Cyanogenmod 12 into my HTC Desire 816 , for flashing I used TWRP. So the whole proccess was as follows:
1)Install CM via TWRP
2)Reinstall CM and GAAPS
Everything works fine and dandy but I have one big problem. My internal storage only shows 4gb of total space, from which I have only like 1GB of free space available. The phone originally came with 8gb of internal storage, and is just after I did this that it was reduced. I did clean up all the Dalvik cache, I also tried doing a new factory reset, but still it's showing only 4gb.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The phone shows 8 gb but half of that is taken up by the factory OS and empty space allocated for future updates in a seperate partition and the rest is system apps . I actually gained storage space in the partition with the remaining storage after flashing CM so I'm not really sure what's going on with your device but low storage space is just a known issue with this device. Obtain S off thru the Sunshine app ($25) or install a write permission script mod for your particular firmware called a WP_MOD.ko I believe here on XDA and then install Link2SD and get the paid version that allows you to move app data to external SD card then partition the ext SD card using a partition manager exe program on your computer following the Link2SD instructions and you will gain all the extra storage space you will need. I did true S off because I wanted to keep my SE Linux permissions set to enforcing not permissive which the write permission mod does but to each his own.
