hulk smash phone!
Too much Spinach
You were just holding it?
Did it have an un-noticed hairline crack prior maybe?
How were you holding the phone? Screen face up, down, on a call, etc., etc.
I'm trying to understand the mechanics of how this happened.

Ever touched the screen on your video while watching it by mistake? Happened to me all the time on my og note. On the note2 if you press the power button the screen locks and continues to play the video. Its the little things that matter people, the little things.

Try factory reset first
I ahve had this problem also, but it has only happend while charging. It acts like the back button is pushed continously. I only noticed this once I switched to a six foot USB cable.

I have tried factory reset that fixed camera but still opening and closing things randomly...even when not connected to power source of any kind

In developer options click show screen touches. See if your digitizer is going bad, happened to one of my note1's.
Id return it in a heartbeat but before that if you want to have fun go to phone and enter

Just learned I can zoom in on the browser with just one finger. Sliding your finger down zooms out and sliding up zooms in. How you do it? Simple just place your finger anywhere to the left or right side of the screen and go up or down. Just thought I'd share my finding for anyone interested.

Trust me, it gets annoying later and there is no way to disable it.
Lol, there's already talk in a few threads about making the next update without this. Pain in the pooch

I kind of like it. I've noticed i zoomed in before in the past but didn't know what the heck was doing it. Once you learn how to do it and exactly where in the screen to do it it's not much of a problem. I already perfected it and like it lol

It was removed prior to MC2 on MA7. A lot of people with GS3's and Notes hated it so it got removed.

Yes that's normal...I believe the gpu or cpu is located on the top side of the phone and that's why your screen heats up.

My bad,
Could the phone had been dropped?
A neighbour of mine had an epic that he dropped on an occasion, and had the same issue, his phone had a larg scuff on the back cover, led light would flash, when called phone would ring but you couldn't answer.
After some dismantling and removing screen, and not seeing any physical damage it was reassembled upon start up screen came back to life, phone worked fine until it got upgraded to an S3.
