Android 4.3.6 Is this a mistake!? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I was using the AnTuTu benchmarking app, and when I was scrolling through the results something caught my eye. One of the people's versions for the epic 4g touch was android 4.3.6.This must be some kind of mistake right?! I've attached the screenshot of my phone for proof.

Noob-ish ques. Honeycomb on Epic

Is there a way to port honeycomb to the epic then turn down the resolution to where it looks like gingerbread.... I saw this done on some other phones.... if it could be done would it be worth it..... would there be any performance gain...
Sent from my Evo Killer using XDA Premium App
It wouldn't be worth it. Honeycomb was made for tablets, not phones. Beside, we don't even have the SDK, so there's not much to work with, so you wouldn't get any "performance gain". Just use the honeycomb theme if you want the look.
Nah I dont want the look I just wanted to know "if" all the above in the op..... I saw when you install honeycomb on a low res device the ui becomes gingerbread like and figured that might be good for having honeycomb on a phone... Honeycomb also has some APIs for game controllers and hdmi so idk I thought it might be cool to see what some of our devs might think about it....
Sent from my Evo Killer using XDA Premium App
Honeycomb has under 2000 apps and no support for anything but the Tegra 2 chipset. Not worth it , but it couldn't be done anyway since there isn't any source code for it.
How did the hd2 get it

An SDK port that runs extremely poorly and isn't worth the effort when we don't even have an AOSP rom yet.

So why hasn't google relased the source? Isn't it against the law not to release linux source?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Not at all. They are obligated to release Kernel Source under GPL but nothing forces them to release the OS's source code. Google has publicly stated many times that they are withholding Honeycomb source (for now) to avoid dozens of cheap android tablets (and I mean 600mhz processors and 800x480 10 inch resistive touch screens) from cheapening the "New" Android by running poorly.

Android security leak.

http://lifehacker.com/5946919/check-if-your-android-device-is-vulnerable-to-the-remote-wipe-hack
Lifehacker ran an article today about an issue with a security leak on Android today. When I test there test link, my phone running The Blu Kuban is effected. I am wondering if anyone knows if Sprint will have a fix on the GSII E4GT our if Ruj, the developer of the Blu Kuban rom can put in a fix. Or is this just a bunch of bologna, and I have nothing to worry about.

Are you positive on that? I don't know how much you can look into it, but that test page that lifehacker recomends to see if your device is can be affected, does work on my phone. The link brings up the dialer, and shows
MEID

The article says if your phone is safe, the dialer will show a phone number instead of displaying a system message.

Switched from an HTC Amaze to the Galaxy S 2 (Issuse)

I switched from the amaze to the S2, the first thing the stands out to me, how slow the keyboards are on the S2. I could text pretty fast on the amaze and never have a lag issue, as with the s2, sometimes it won't even pick up a key stroke or a word I have entered. I am a huge 4x3 T9 user, I loved the keyboard that was on the amaze, Is it possible to get an apk of that keyboard and put it on the S2?
Could it even be a screen issue? I feel like sometimes I have to hit the space bar 2 or 3 times.
Keyboard lag is a key known issue with ICS.. If you want a T9 keyboard you might want to consider a third party apps that does it because I have tried to use keyboards from LG HTC and others and I could never get them to work

Well that blows, is anyone attempting to roll out an update to fix the issue? As far as my last statement, the screen doesn't recognize a key stroke for instance, when i press the space bar. Does that fall into the same issue?

Have you loomed in the sound section of your ROM for haptic feedback. Also for a fix you are looking for this is what custom ROMs are for. May I suggest you start flashing and testing

I have been thinking about flashing a custom rom, but at the same time this is my only phone and I don't have a lot of money. The chances of bricking it are slim, I'm tech savvy, but if i do I'm SOL. As for haptic feedback, there is no option under sound...
Where is a good place to start at flashing? the basics, programs, knowledge base? thank you.

Well when you stated that you have a XXXX score in QUADRANT anybody can assume you are referring to a score with the QUADRANT APPLICATION. What you have is a XXXX score on benchmark using ANTUTU BENCHMARK APPLICATION. The best score using QUADRANT I see posted for our phone is 4780 if I'm not wrong. Antutu is a benchmark APPLICATION, not a QUADRANT APPLICATION. You are confusing the terms. Just go to GOOGLE PLAY STORE and search for benchmarks and the first or second is QUADRANT STANDARD. I got the ANTUTU BENCHMARK, and my score with CM10 is 8040. But with QUADRANT is only 3980. Hope that clarified the confusion.

Not to call you out, but that's impossible. Here's your scores vs. my stock scores.
CPU - 51,129/14,819
Memory - 5172/5328
I/O - 10,828/11,452
2D - 926/971
3D - 2207/2025
So all the difference is in CPU and your score is 73% higher than mine. That's physically impossible from the same SoC. Indivual iterations of the same SoC can be faster and slower but usually by 10%. So either someone's been play with Photoshop or the SoC in that device has been drastically altered.

Let me introduce you to AnTuTu; it's free on Play.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark&hl=en
If your device is actually generating that score in Quadrant it will be equally high in AnTuTu. It should take you above five minutes to download and run. Less time than it's taken for you to start and comment in this thread.
So basiclly your asking me to run antutu let me download and run its probably just a glitch in the app

You posted an absolutely outrageous Quadrant score that's roughly three times what even those who overclocked their SoC are getting and then said "can anybody beat this?" So yes, either you're simply in awe of a mistake in the app or you're trolling. It's hard to tell which at this point. In all my time on XDA I've never seen "a glitch in the app" to the degree you've posted that was accidental.
