This rom currently supports the Trickster Mod App - get it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bigeyes0x0.trickstermod&hl=en
This rom is meant for AOSP 4.2.2 and 4.3 depending on which download you grab and what ROM you use. Do not mix the kernel, you assume the risks of your stupidity if you don't read the OP.
PM me if you need any help starting up your own kernel
BDownloads for 4.3:

READ THIS PLEASE:
Everyone, sorry to disappoint but this kernel is now dead. Due to a serious serious issue with the git client, me trying to delete 1 repo caused the deletion of my kernels repo instead. There will be no builds anymore, I would have to start from scratch and I do not remember every line of code I have changed for the past 4 months.
My sincerest apologies to you guys, I am still shocked myself right now, I can't believe it did that.
I will keep downloads up for now but I doubt the kernel will work bug free into the future without keeping up with driver updates and such. If there are any GPL concerns from any mods here on xda, please let me know and I will take the links down. I had source up until it got deleted. Thanks for the help, experience, and the times guys. You made this kernel a wonderful learning experience for me. Look out for my app in the next few months guys, its my new project if git doesn't screw me on that too.
My settings:
Gov: asswax
IO: row
Read ahead: 1024
Voltages: (stock, I pick them in the first place )
GPU: 480
Powersaving: 0
Mpdecision: its gone so enabling it does nothing

10.06.2013 Experimental Release
-Hopefully fixed random reboots (you tell me)
-Linux 3.4.65 updates
-cm updates
-clock changes
-GPU overclocking to 480, if you think its useless, don't tell me, just turn it off, my testing proves otherwise
-updates deadline scheduler to have 0ms latency (credits to imoseyon)
10.03.2013 Release Candidate
-cm updates
-asswax tunables adjusted to personal preference. Ramps up slower but also ramps down slower, also focuses on lower
clocks at screen up and deep sleep. Check the git if you're curious
-Linaro 4.8.2 instead of 4.7 used to compile
-Latest linux 3.4.64
-378 clock changed back to 384 (so much more stable and battery friendly)
-voltage adjustments
[COLOR="Red"]This is probably my last build for this phone, when the Nexus 5 comes out I will probably get it and sell my gs3, so if the
price is less than $350, this will be it guys. Thanks for testing as I made my first kernel. I learned a lot! If any huge issues
present themselves I will obviously update it.
4.2.2 is being worked on, but my tester has to get back to me on the latest build (I run 4.3 personally) and then I will upload!
[/COLOR]
09.25.2013
-cm updates
-bluetooth updates
-basically update the everything
-linux updated to 3.4.61 (x.62 will be implemented soon hopefully
-modified clocks a bit to try and get better stability

08.23.2013
-tweaked sheep colors a bit and colors look whiter than ever!!
-voltage tweaks (again)
-smartmax governor added(info on it [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38193047&postcount=6943"]here[/URL])

-rebased from cm so latest drivers and merges
-linux 3.4.57 updates
-upped voltages on overclock so this should fix reboots for some people
-code clean ups
-modified screen colors, its like trinity but my tweaks.
I tried to make colors less saturated and cool the colors
(to enable for now just switch the screen temp (to any option)
in the advanced settings and lock your device,
I will enable on boot if you guys like it)
-so with new drivers this build tends to produce graphical
glitches on older versions of ROMS (pwncakes latest build has been
tested and works)
-old versions of the kernel also no longer play nice with new versions of ROMS
08.12.2013(4.3)
-fixed reboots for some people (I wasn't able to get it to reboot so
hopefully this works for you guys, let me know if it doesn't)
-undervolting finally is here and stable!
-user undervolting is back (min is 850 so going lower is pointless)
-it seems smoother than normal
08.11.2013(4.3) Part 2
-forgot to include frandom module in last build its here now
-you should see some performance improvements especially if you
use things like the crossbreeder mod
08.11.2013(4.2.2)
-frandom support

Thanks man. Much appreciated. Like I said, let me know if you have any requests

Downloading this shiz right now. Yay for new kernels. :highfive::good:

So it looks like if you flash over Ktoonz the tweaker box will stay there which is fine.... I must say coming from any reboot I've never seen where a kernel loads up widgets and everything so fast... nice work on that
Responce wicked fast, deep sleeps better than my snoring wifey,
Small querks I've noticed upon flash there is a lag switching pages and responce is slow I've noticed that you can get SOD I'm running at 15xx to 16xx to test high CPU, and that once SOD is in.place Battery Pull require. But works very well
Request, savage zen& zen, Wheatley, smartassh3, Lionheart would be great but very stable kernel so far Big Props!
Edit : running Liquid smooth 2.9

When you first flash, you will have lag for a minute or two but then after that it is gone. Idk if I can fix this, but I will look into it. Hmmmmm, haven't gotten any sleep of death yet. What governor are you running? I would recommend asswax since it is just the smartest in my opinion. Also what was your minimum clock? This could cause SOD. Thanks for the help and I will have those governors for you on the next build (shouldn't be long, hell I might be up tomorrow morning)
EDIT: I will try raising the voltages on my underclock and see if that works. For future reference I run this on CM just for smoothness, but I will try testing on LS when I get a chance

His device may not be able to handle UV. I've been booted for almost 30 minutes now with no issues. I've left it stock so far so I will change to badass and see if it happens. So far though smooth as hell.
For reference, I am on Carbon 1.8 Stable.

As the above poster requested, savagezen is nice. Not sure if it's been ported to 3.4 yet though. Asswax is also nice.
As for IO Sched, there is an awesome one for a T-Mobile kernel to check out. tripndroid iosched by TripNRaVeR. Very smooth with no noticeable drain.
Link to the kernel is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301896&page=4

hmmm :/ fast toggle working here with trickster mod. Make sure the phone is unplugged. Then toggle fast charge on. And then you should be able to plug it in. Fast charge won't work if its plugged in.

[KERNEL] Synergy v0.10 [CK3+, Autogrouping, OC, UV, BFQ, BLN, OTG]

Updated to V0.10
Code:
[B][U]v0.10[/U][/B]
- uppatched to 2.6.35.14
- reverted my unreleased changes of the disabling of samsung debugging, it breaks lo power mode and causes SOD's
- Misc config tweaks
- Misc compiler tweaks
[B][U]v0.08[/U][/B]
- Up patched to 2.6.35.13 source
- merged some changed with Da_G's skyrocket source to fix cpu1 hot-plugging
this shiould solve issues of users having min clock stuck at 384mhz and/or max
stuck.
- fixed vdd_tables, system tuner will be supporting my kernel in up coming releases for this
system tuner, should no longer cause issues. as the hotplug fix solved this
[B][U]v0.06[/U][/B]
- Found tome Carrier IQ **** in tty consoles, removed it
sneaky sneaky...
- patched for call recording <--- DERP apparently it works with out my patch LOL
[B][U]v0.05.6[/U][/B]
- redid source tree from scratch
- Switched on OTG config options again (had them shut off)
- Battery issues resolved
- minor tweaks to autogrouping
- set kernel HZ to 300 for a smoother more responsive feel
- minor tweaks to lag free and smartass
- undervolts have been tested stable by many users and are in this release
[B]- PLEASE UNINSTALL SYSTEM TUNER AND CLEAR DALVIK CACHE THIS RELEASE[/B]
[B][U]v0.05.2[/U][/B]
- loosened up lag free so its not so twitchy at low freqs and ramping up and down constantly
- undervolted all freqs a fair bit
- added smartassv2 back in *Please TEST, i think i have solved the hang at max freq on wake*
- probably forgetting something else i messed with
[B][U]v0.05[/U][/B]
- sourced a multiprossesor service that actually wasnt ****ed and added to kernel
- turned on multi prossesor service and set it to shut off the second core on screen off
or when not needed, and only turn back on when needed
- Patched in BLN *thanks to romanbb*
- Patched services.jar to allow bln to notify you for most notifications from apps now
eg: gtalk, mms, sms app and ect..
- spiffy new boot logo ;)
[B][U]v0.04.1[/U][/B]
- removed smartassv2, its useless in its semi-working state, causing battery drain. I will figure out what its up to.
[B][U]v0.04[/U][/B]
- Lowered stock voltages a bit to get some better battery
- Fixed (i think) smartassv2 ramping up to max clock and then neglecting to ramp back down on wake from sleep
- Recommend using lagfree :)
[B][U]v0.03.2[/U][/B]
- fixed scheduler settings for new min freq, causing me SOD's on screen wake with notification
[B][U]v0.03.1[/U][/B]
- disabled 192MHz in the clock table so users cannot select it and cause a sleep of death situation.
- Default min freq now 384MHz
[B][U]v0.03[/U][/B]
- added in BFQ scheduler if users choose to use it you can use system tuner or other favored apps to change from CFS
- Added SmartassV2 and Iterative schedulers
- Tweaked SmartassV2 for our device
- Added ability to change voltage on the cpus with vdd_tables
[B][U]
v0.02:[/U][/B]
- 1.8ghz lag fixed ;)
- Autogrouping of scheduler added
- lagfree cpu scheduler added, with fully working sysfs interface to edit settings not set by default but recommended! its TITS!
- optimized build flags
- removed sysfs for vdd tables, we have not got it working yet. no worries you shouldn't need it yet ;)
- kernel compression changed for much faster boot times
[U][B]v0.01[/B][/U]
CK3+ Patch Set (Thanks to fellow Team Synergy member Ziggy471 for backporting)
OC 1.8 (Thanks to Romanbb's source tree)
Global UV Tables (Thanks to Romanbb's source tree)
All Debug shut off except samsung debugging (needed)
LZMA compressed
Carrier branded boot splash removed
init.d support
Voltage Control
You can control it via shell/init.d scripts as follows
To over volt ALL frequencies by 10000 uv:
Code:
echo "+10000" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels
To under volt ALL frequencies by 10000 uv:
Code:
echo "-10000" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels
To set a specific frequency (ie 1.8 GHz) with a specific voltage (ie 1.25 volts) ]
Code:
echo "1836000 1250000" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels
Use SetCPU as a gui or sysfs to control CPU freq

no, its based off a compleetly different source tree (as the verry first sentense in my post says), i have stripped all debugging possible, its using ck3+ patch sets not bfs 404 and my stock voltages and clock tables differ.
its also a few mb smaller then juggs and has all boot animations stripped from the ramfs
what did you set stock clock to? i'll be the guinea pig and try it out for tmobile user

Thanks for the response. You answered alot more than just my questions I'm sure. I thought for v0.2 roman used the same source. Idk
Is this uv'd as much as jugs v0.1? My phone runs like a champ at 1.8 on that and battery is excellent so that is the voltage I'd like to stick with if possible

Ive been using on-demand exclusively @ 1.7GHz and have had zero issues. Although i don't put any faith in quadrant scores i was getting 4500+
I'm going to be working with Ziggy471 on lagfree and smartass v2 govs soon and see if i can get them to cooperate better with dual core setups.

its the clock rate, 1.8 kicks the **** out of my device too so i stick with 1.7
i tried increasing the vdd but it didn't help much, if at all and i was not satisfied with wasting the voltage for 100mhz. with 1.8 2d accel really suffers too in quad i experienced.

OK. That makes sense. Ill clock it down to 1.7 and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the feedback

Q: What settings do you recommend? What governor? What IO Scheduler?

Q: My phone as rebooted on its own or is stuck on a reboot loop.
A: There are 3 reason why your phone may reboot on its own:
1. Your phone does not handle the Undervolt of the kernel
Flash the stock voltage add-on. (NO I will not make the kernel with stock voltage by default)
2. Your phone cannot handle the Overclock of the kernel
Use another kernel, Sorry...
3. There is a bug in the kernel and I should fix it:
Post the /proc/last_kmsg output as a ZIP in the thread. BUT, before posting make sure the last_kmsg contains the mention "Kernel panic", if not, don't bother posting this because your problem is related to point 1 or 2...A kernel Panic looks like this:

Q: Why did you remove feature X?
A: Because I think it sucks
* This is my personal opinion and I am allowed to have it

Q: Can you add feature X?
A: Depends. Before asking that question, check the changelog.
If it was removed, NO.
* If you have a really good reason why you think a feature should come back from the dead, you can defend your case by PM.
If it's a new feature that I may not know about, just let me know of the feature and I'll consider it.
If its a new shinny CPU governor or IO scheduler, NO the ones that will remain do the job perfectly...

Not working with NSTools, only showing 96% try to move it to 100% and stay stuck on 96%, any idea ?
I cant resist it either. Flashed it gonna let it settle in and check the performance once I fully charge it again.
Any thoughts on the comparison of CFQ and BFQ?

100% battery mod is a cosmetic fix. BLX will never go over 96%. If you do go over 96%, you'll damage your battery...

I'm using a cold color mod instead of voodoo colors. Voodoo color was never actually an 100% completed project. Because of the green flicker issue, voodoo color was not included in the kernel. Pawitp from team hacksung seems to be working on an alternative to voodoo color for the GalaxyS. I might try that in future release...
I'm aiming for a really stable kernel. Only features that I know work and that work well will go in.
Breaks USB tether
This kernel breaks USB tether. I am using CM 9 alpha 19 with Glados 2.7. Switched back to Glados and USB tether works again.
Downloaded and flashed. Seems to be running good. Showing benchmark scores only slightly behind other kernels running 1300/1400mhz.
Thanks for posting this up. I like it!

If you want to tweak BFS scheduler try setting values (1-300) on /proc/sys/kernel/rr_interval
PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK.
Obs: tell me if bluetooth, gps, fm, wifi and any other component are working fine.
BFS version only this time.
OBS:Im still trying to find a way to make BLN mod work for our phone.
Please give me feedback and suggestions. Thanks

Yea i'm a bit worried about this as well.
I'm using V1 now and it's so great that I'm afraid to upgrade to V2.
Does it improve battery life? For me is the most important thing about a kernel. =)
....
Ok, I installed V2. I'm using smartass as CPU Governor. On V1, everything was ok.
I realized that boot on V2 takes too much time (stuck on black "Samsung Galaxy W" screen) although it boots.
My phone just did a random reboot. It never happened before. I just opened Phone, Messaging, WhatsApp and it rebooted. =| And now it turns on and reboot itself again without opening a single app.
I'm going back to V1. =)
Great job, by the way!

Brother, give him some time. In fact he just uploaded today and it is normal there are bugs.
Flashing V2, but reverting back to V1. About long time to boot I think it because too many governors, and i/o, you should remove few standard governors like powersave, ondemand, interactive (since there is interactiveX and ondemandX) then smartass, because smartassv2 is included, noop, and other standard i/o. Just my silly thought btw sleep of death occured to me, so strange in v1 this is not occured, I think this is because kernel debugger thing and celancache/frontswap so I flash back to v1

Also might I suggest trying to flash v1 since its been reported to be more stable than v2 is.

Thanks for posting a thread on your kernels. FYI, your download links need tweaked.
Yes, a big thanks to @hawknest for coming to me to get kit Kat sense booting. You guys wouldn't have it right now if he did not start this excursion. It was fun and challenging to get it to work without proper source.
And even more thanks to @buckmarble for his know how. I wouldn't have been able to do this on my own.

I have used both of these kernels in the past couple weeks and have had great luck along with literally all day battery life and a benchmark of 28951!
Thanks for all your hard work and for providing it to the verizon HTC One community

I am happy to hear you are enjoying it! On a side note we have been seeing benchmarks upward of 31500 on the over clock version.
Awesome finally a custom kernel for GPE Running great so far for me, Im on Joel's GPE ROM. Noticed a small issue on the OC version, max CPU clock doesnt seem to stick, tried via trickster and shell, it keeps reverting to the max 2.1ghz, I was trying to set it a bit lower to 1.9ghz.

use the lock frequency feature in trickster right above the frequency selections to make them stick.
Sorry to be that guy but anyone have some recommended settings? I'm on the gpe overclocked version.
I flashed this last night on the Viper rom. Turned on smartmax governor and can already see a big improvement in battery life. Thanks to all involved.

To the kernel Dev(s) this is running great on hawks sprint ROM thanks!! I also have a question about the kernel. Is it possible to add this feature because I use zeroinfinity sound mod and this is suppose to compliment it...

Overclocked slimbus to max. This is as high as it goes, its 100% stable in testing with no negative impacts. Brings improvements all around for audio playback etc (thx to @ZeroInfinity and me )
.Some generic function optimizations (for faster kernel, better battery.. overall improvements to the code, from CAF)
.Add USB Fast Charge (Flar, Motley, Chad Froebel for original mod)
What is this slimbus OC about?
It will really start to take advantage of the hardware of this phone, as well as the audio improvements in the ERA sound mod. Hopefully it will open the door to more stuff that was previous restricted
Thanks! Have fun

I prefer battery savings and responsiveness, so using smartmax governor with row scheduler, -25000 under volt (this can probably go lower). OC min freq set to 216000. Heres some knowledgeable guesses I am testing out for the governor:
awake_ideal_freq = 486000
boost_freq = 1728000
ramp_up_step = 400000
suspend_ideal_freq = 378000
touch_poke_freq = 1728000
trying to lower the idle sleep frequencies, but boost up faster and higher when you are using the phone (touching button / screen)
see governor source comments if you want to learn more about the parameters https://github.com/Buckmarble/elite.../drivers/cpufreq/cpufreq_smartmax.c?source=cc
edit: been stable across a variety of use for me so far, hopefully will also see battery savings later, if you notice any trouble let me know
Bout Damn time lol

I've been running 12/30 for a few days oc , no issues fast and battery efficient . Could you add a few features such as faux sound and color control?

[KERNEL] HybridMix (5-16-14) back again!

===>INTRODUCTION<===
This is my personal kernel based off of ASKP. I cherry-picked a lot of custom commits from many big kernels. I'm new in development, so, any help whatsoever (commits, suggestions, logs, etc etc) would be greatly appreciated
releases will be as frequent as possible, as I'm gone for 7 hours of my day during weekdays.
****FEATURES****
using A.S.K.P as the base<- you get all the features of A.S.K.P+ more
linux kernel 3.101 WITH the Con kalivas patchset for improved performance
L3 cache overclock (116MHZ)
custom RAM OC setup (333MHZ/400MHZ/466MHZ)
gpu oc interface (307/384/512)
optimized CRC32 computing algorithem
optimized square root interger library
custom voltage setup, modified by me personally taking inspiration from the voltage's of other kernels, everything from the GPU voltage to the screen regulator has been tweaked
CPU overclock up to 1.7GHZ
multiple governors i have personally added (this is ALWAYS changing considering what jhonny/grarak/faux/bsmitty/Amperific/boype do to their governor,or what i personally decide to do)
some new IO schedulers have been added
EXFAT is added, 1.2.5 source from dorimanx
updated RWSEM to linux 3.14
numerous enhancements to SLUB including a update to the 3.3 version
MMC software updates/enhancements
GPU side enhancements
HUGEMEM setup (this is a arguement from me personally, the gnex is only a 720P phone, you cannot utilize 1080P with out screen,so even if this is a retarded and dirty hack,i want to use the extra available ram)
ALL kernel logging has been disabled for a increase in speed
Kernel SamePage merging has been updated to linux 3.6 standards with faux's check page patch for improved performance and efficiency
memory Compaction updates for better performance
modified screen colors
imsoyen's SmartReflex 1.5 tuning interface
updated thermal framework drivers from faux & omapzoom
updated android binder.c from omapzoom's 3.8 branch that bsmitty discovered
updated logger from poondog,linux 3.9
graphite and link time optimizations including -o3 and hard float point with NEON with the latest linaro 4,9.1 toolchain from christopher83,compiled with graphite ops on gpu code along with -o3
zcache, zsmalloc and zram updated to linux 3.11 from mpokang kernel with faux's setup for zram
many misc enhancements from AK kernel
many misc OMAP enhancements
the latest WIFI drivers WITH a working hotspot
a modified anykernel zip package that will install a new HOSTAPD binary for working wifi hotspot and new meda_profiles.xml to fully disable 108PTHIS KERNEL USES VERY HIGH CLOCK SPEEDS WITH VERY LOW VOLTAGES,I BUILD THIS KERNEL THROUGH A "PERSONAL" SETUP,IF YOU GET SOD'S/ FREEZES,PLEASE UP YOUR VOLTAGES ON "MPU" BY 25 UNTIL THEY STOP :3
IF YOU'RE GOING TO USE A HOTPLUG GOVERNOR, FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY DO NOT USE MULTICORE POWER SAVING WITH IT. THIS CAUSES ISSUES AND NO BUG REPORTS ARE ALLOWED IF YOU HAVE HOTPLUG WITH MCPS
BUILDS:http://patty.mbqdevelopment.com/Kernels/ASKP Remix/ <- the numbers are going to be in order, the bigger the better XD (thanks to mbq for the generous hosting site,or as i like to call him,"big brother" thanks man :good: )

thanks man, means alot! really do appreciate the support!
Flashing it as I type
Will report soon, it's good to see new kernel from people in this gnex threads
Edit: got my first freeze, lol. Maybe the voltages are too low, I guess?
But I got a couple questions:
1. Did you intended to UV voltages, including IVA? I see it lower than DirtyV and Franco.
2. The frequency steps..... There's a lot of it, but is it correct? There are numerous voltages that are new to me lol like 460, 1480, 1560...
Maybe you could explain just a little bit lol
Edit2: pattyboi did you implemented early suspend on interactive? There's a slight lag when waking up the device
Btw there's pegasusq, too.
This is how it starts you are now entering the Linux twilight zone of the quest for the best kernel patches go get em @pattyboi:)
@aosp you're a veteran

sorry for the late reply bud,i fell asleep after getting that 2nd build up. the 460 is gonna be removed,as i said im still nooby and i didnt add it right :silly: the rest should be correct as i didnt touch any other one,the uv voltages were just burstlams slight uv on regulators,i havent touched anything with iva,mpu or anything else, ill probabaly bump them up a lil within the nest couple days still gotta wrap my head around how to properly do it lol. but thank you for testing man! & yeah the interactive early suspend i "think" is there,is 7 am so im not entirely sure,if its causing wake lag i might try and switch the interacitves or just remove early suspend, like i said its a big mess i gotta iron out
EDIT ,one more thing, did you disable eco mode? that might cause wake delay because it was for me

Take it easy bud, we're all here learning as well lol
Yeah I'm not using eco mode and intelli-plug, not liking the less-snappier feel lol.
You could take interactive from either bsmitty's or Franco's, I think they're making out the best interactive so far. :good:
Also, this kernel has GPU governor. Is it overclocked as default?
Btw, I'm suggesting to do some wrapping on your OP. Because your kernel has many features inside lol
Thanks!
