Everyone knows that Open GL 3 will be supported by Android 4.3. The Galaxy Note 2 for now not support. Most smartphones do not support. Some examples of how PowerVR5 GPU does not support. (Iphone, S4 Octa Core). My question is whether in the future the Note 2 will have some implementation support. The game Asplhat 8 is Open GL ES 3.0. I believe it will run with a loss of some effects. And what is the future for our Note 2 in games? Already obsolete? I play all fine.

Mobiles that do not support OpenGL ES 3.0
I have listed recent powerful mobiles that do not support OpenGL ES 3.0 so you get the clarity and no confusions
All mobiles that have been released before January 2013 did not support OpenGL ES 3.0 – they don’t have multiple instance support, compressed textures etc..
Samsung Galaxy SIII, SII, S and older mobiles of Samsung did not support OpenGL ES 3.0
Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) and Samsung Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100)
iPhone – 5 and lower versions did not support OpenGL ES 3.0; but it supports OpenGL ES 2.0. (iPhone 3 second Gen onwards (ie, iPhone 3 second gen, iPhone 4 and iPhone 5) OpenGL ES 2.0 support has been added).
All BlackBerries released before April 2013 did not support OpenGLES 3.0.
All window 7.5 Mobiles do not support OpenGL ES 3.0
Windows 8.0 Mobiles released before March 2013 did not support the same."

Anybody
Google has added the support for OpenGL ES 3.0 yes.. But it can't just add something and leave the old things while it and the developers knows exactly how many millions of people use android on different devices.. They will not just make a game for one device or two .. They will try to support every device.. For the next 2 years, OpenGL ES3 won't be the main focus for developers .. After that most of the people would have a device that support OpenGL ES 3 .. In other words its not just a complete change in one day.. Its a Change overtime without the ordinary person even noticing .. And that's important for Google and developers..
The thread is interesting ..

They will do their best both for benefiting from the OpenGL 3.0 and not leaving the unsupporting devices behind. The best proof for that Google still keeps "Force GPU rendering" and "Disabling hardware layers" optional since Gingerbread.
If they were like Microsoft they would just tell everyone "hey you people with low GPU phones, we are cutting you off because from now on every new Android version will force GPU rendering for creating the screen no matter the app or commands say!!" Microsoft leaved every WP 7.x phone behind to make a jump for WP 8.. Bu Google did not leave anyone behind and left things optional. Novadays game makers design their games to measure your device's power (mostly the chipset brand unfortunately) and run as much effect as it could handle. So basicly neither Google nor developers/app creators leaving anyone behind.
And I am sure on the 720p screen category Note 2 is still one of the most powerfull devices to leave behind. Everything will still be smooth with a little beith sacrofise of the effects in the future

Hi, i was curious if it would be possible for you to develop opengles 1.0 support fot the marvell pxa310 processor. It seems to only support v1.1... I would be willing to pay for time spent, and provide whatever tools you w needed. thanks.
i found that blackstone has 3d graphic when running android because it has 7201a qualcomm chip buit in like another android device.
Motorola BACKFLIP MB300, T-Mobile myTouch 3G 1.2, Samsung GT-i7500L Galaxy, (HTC Hero 100)... ect... running android stock rom with 7200a qualcomm chip buit in like my htc touch pro 2 . So that can we take the 3d graphic drive and apply to android rom on touch pro 2???
we can found all handheld with android stock rom and 7200a qualcomm chip buit in by "browse all device base on 7200a" on cpu list on pdadb.net
this link : http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdamaster&posted=1&cpu=a7200a
sorry, my english is very bad !!!
they supposedly have it working according to ppcgeeks

I can confirm this. Now I need a new boot animation!
I want to buy a phone that has proper CM10.1 support. The SGS2 Exynos chip has very poor support and CM does not even want to develop it anymore because of Samsung's lack of support. CM10.1 is very laggy. The OMAP version on the other hand is well supported by CM10.1.
Is the Tegra 3 the same as the Exynos or is it well supported?
Ok, I am kind of lost, I am not a Developer, However to me Personally doesn't seem to difficult to be able to take a:laugh: Stock or even Custom Rom already running Great from the Galaxy Tab 3 T311 and have it run the same or even better on the Galaxy Tab 3 T211, I do Understand that theres much more things that should be considered besides the 1" size difference, but other than that both devices run 3g, can someone please enlighten us non kmowers, lol, cause our T211 section is like a GHOST town and would love to see it lite up like 42nd st in Manhattan on Christmas.. Thanks Muchhhhhh....

It is much more than just the size difference, the Tab3 range all use completely different CPUs and GPUs
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0
Processor: Marvell Technology Group PXA986
Graphics Adapter: Vivante GC1000+ Dual-Core
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0
Processor: Samsung Exynos 4212 1.5 GHz
Graphics Adapter: ARM Mali-400 MP4
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1
Processor: Intel Atom Z2560
Graphics Adapter: PowerVR SGX544
I Know its MUCH more than a size diffrence
I do understand that its more than just a size difference, I Know it has to do with Partitions, Kernels, DPI, CPU, GPU, However these other devices that have had totally different Roms for totally different devices ported into them. from what i have been reading in this forum is that theres a problem porting the Kernel, again i could be wrong. I cant Wait to flash something soon, cause this stock Rom SUCKSS..

Today i see someone succesfully boot Android N on Xperia L. Which is Xperia L has a same proccesor with Redmi 1S (snapdragon 400) Maybe we can port the ROM into our device. What do you guys think about?

As far as I could gather, yes, it is possible to get Nougat.
Things we will NOT GET, because of the GPU we have are: OpenGL 3.1 / Vulkan. Those two are only embedded in Adreno 400 and upwards.
This would mean that there is a chance for problems with games that might migrate above OpenGL 3.0 (which we have).
As far as I'm aware, the differences between 3.1 and 3.0 are in the addition of new libraries, so if the game needs those new libraries 100% and doesn't offer a fallback option, we won't be able to play them.

Yeah i also see cm14 unofficial for Peregrine
hope so
Redmi1s won't get any more
Actually not a problem of xiaomi but of **** Google.
This is Android (and OEMs and Qualcomm) not looking far ahead to support devices. They don’t care about customers. After sale support non-existent.
Why is Apple able to support iPhone 5s (same age as Nexus 5) with iOS 10 and later? Because Apple made it compatible with METAL apk from day 1. Because it has hardware encryption since day 1.
Why is Apple able to support iPhone 5 (4 years old) with iOS 10? Because Apple is willing to!!! IPhone 5 does not support METAL nor does it have ARMv8 chip…yet iPhone 5 is getting iOS 10…minus raise to speak to Siri…it is getting 99% of iOS 10 features.
Remember, major software updates also bring with it security features beyond “monthly patches.”
So, with all the resources of software (Google) and hardware (OEM’s and Qualcomm), Android cannot support Nexu 5 and the likes?! It is like buying a laptop (since most phones cost the same) and can only use it for 2 years. That’s insane!
When will Android community wake up and demand more? Google, OEMs, and Qualcomm will only listen if money talks.
And it is this crap that explains horrible re-sale value of Android flagships!
