[Q] Help , Radio problem? O,o - HTC One V

Hey everyone,
Well here is my story
I am using the new ota boot.img (CDMA, VM) , and was using CM9-KangBang v3.0 as my Rom, it decided not to send a message so i put it on airplane mode and it froze, so i decided to turn it on and off, and on turning it back on, it had no service what so ever. I've tried flashing other ota roms with there respective boot.imgs but i still have no service, i dont know what to do anymore..
Any help would be really appreciated, thank you

Why are you flashing GSM ROMs when your device is CDMA. CM9 KangBang is not for our device. Go to the CDMA thread and try Rhythmic ROM and see if that works. Or else you'll have to RUU back to stock.

[Q] Rooting and Flashing Cellular South HTC Desire

Tried using Unrevoked, apparently I'm missing something. Downloaded ROM Manager and now I'm unable to use it because I get an error about unable to download from server. [Connection is fine, tried over wifi for good measure, same deal].
Anyone mind giving me a hand here?
Just boot into the recovery. Put your phone off. Hold volume down + power button. Then select recovery. You don't need rom manager to flash.
Right, I do, but whenever I try installing the ROM I get an error and it aborts. Is there some way for me to dump the error log and post it here?
you have to make sure you are using the correct rom. I also have a htc desire CDMA from Cellular south and accidentally put a GSM rom on it and bricked it. Got a new one and I am waiting for the release of the 2.2 froyo which should be sometime late Jan. early Feb. for us. make sure you are using a good CDMA rom and it works with Cellular south. They are a pain.
BTW I used unrevoked on my desire twice now and it worked perfectly

Just curious on what roms go with cellularsouth. Is there any modifications that need to done to it to get stuff like MMS working?

Stuck on airplane mode * CM10 *

Hey guys !
This is my first post so i guess you can consider me a noob.
I was going to post in the developer section ( particularly the custom rom section which i needed to ) but i can not as a i am * noog * so to speak.,
I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I recently installed Cyanogenmod 10 along with trip's custom kernal.
everything works perfectly except for the fact that when i turn airplane mode on, then i turn it off, it still thinks it's in airplane mode.
So i can't receive calls , or do anything that involves cellular data.
I've reflashed the rom and kernal but it doesn't seem to work
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Have you tried another kernel? Also try reflashing it + installing modules if it has any.

I had exactly the same problem when I updated to HTC's latest official firmware. I think that the latest radio driver doesn't like some networks (particularly smaller networks that may be setup in a non-conventional way).
Unfortunately, I can't help you because I still have no connectivity with my HOX after scouring the web trying to find a way to correct it. (As I said, it only seems to be a problem with smaller networks so it isn't a very well known issue, although I do know other people who have the same problem.)
All I can say is that the latest radio driver seems to be the problem and without S-OFF, it doesn't seem possible to downgrade it. It seems like the only option is to wait for HTC to release a new radio which will hopefully fix the problem.

Radio Data Wifi HELP

Hey all,
Ok, I started having issues a few days ago with my SMS/MMS and I notice at the same time I was getting poor Wifi / Radio service. (Custom ROM's)
Well now it's gotten worse, I just attempted 2 different ROM's (both cm10.2 based) and was unable to get a Radio signal, Wifi wouldn't function at all, and no data at all. I came from a fully functional stock (ZVC). I did try switching some settings in Data / Wifi and etc back and forth as well as reboot and etc, also tried a freegee fix / restoring of the EFS and nothing helped.
Can't really stay on the ROM with no service as I do need to be able to use my device, so I am gonna have to restore my Stock img and perhaps if some help is posted I can give it another shot.
Thanks all!

This may not help, but it won't hurt either. Try flashing zvb modem. Look in the teeny bin thread.
Zvc and zvb modems seem to be the same. But who knows.

Wifi issues with CM10.2 using S3 i747

Hello all, this is my first post, so if I placed it in the wrong category or you need more info, please let me know!
Anyways, I have been having a lot of problems with the latest Cyanogenmod nightlies regarding my Wifi. First off, I noticed it wouldn't auto connect to my home Wifi, as well as the one at my work. I looked deeper and I wasn't even able to remedy it with a simple turn off and turn on of my Wifi, I have to reboot the phone whenever I want to connect to a new network or reconnect if I get out of range. This is very annoying. I tried flashing an updated modem driver for my phone (I'm on bell in Canada, but it's the same as the att version) with no luck. I tried fully wiping my phone and freshly installing the latest nightly, no dice. I was just wondering if you guys could help me out!
Thanks, MickJuice

I just installed yesterdays' latest nightly of CM 10.2 and am not having that issue. Did you Do a clean install or a dirty one?
I have the same symptoms. If a solution is discovered please let me know. I did a fresh install in an attempt to remedy the issue.

I think this is a bug with Android 4.3 in general. I am having the same problem on ParanoidAndroid RC2 9/22.
I was looking into that, I saw alot Of Galaxy Nexus problems updating to 4.3

i'm having the same wifi issue too, reinstall stock rom and everything work fine,so, this has to be a custom rom issue for sure, ive gone back and forth a few time with the same wifi problem with custom rom only

I believe it's not a custom ROM issue, It's a 4.3 issue, as multiple different ROMs based on 4.3 are having problems, and the Stock is running 4.2.2

Screwed phone up after trying to flash custom ROM

I've got a lot of problems actually. I have a Virgin Mobile Galaxy S3 (SPH-L710) with 4.4.2 that I rooted yesterday, but I didn't back up the stock ROM before trying to flash Cyanogenmod. I lost data, eventually I lost wifi, and then I think I bricked it trying to flash various things to fix it. I then tried to flash stock firmware but ended up with a phone that thinks it's on the Sprint network (still no mobile data). I haven't had any luck trying to find stock ROMs and kernels for Virgin Mobile (assuming that's what I need to fix it?). I'd like to be able to go back to the out-of-the-box unrooted ROM until I can do more research.
I'm completely new to the entire process and clearly got in over my head. I hope you guys can point me in the right direction.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum.

Thank you
So I think my problem is resolved. I used Kies to update the firmware, which seemed to successfully return the phone to unrooted stock. I reactivated my network via the VM website. I can send and receive calls and texts. The only thing is that I don't see the VM logo screen at startup. Should I be worried?
If everything is working as it should then no worries about a missing splash screen... Sounds like you're good to go
