I was just wondering if there are any tweaks or mod to get better signal strength. Just looking for a boost if there is one.

I get better signal on a 4.1.2 rom than a 4.2.2 rom I can't remember why that is but im on the skynote 9.3 and its probably the best rom for signal and Internet speeds maybe give it a try

Yah signals are ass on 4.2 vs 4.1. But thatbis becaise we do not have source for the necessary RIL files needed. When source is released signal wont be an issue

Yes it could be tweaks in build prop or int.d folder effecting it possibly.

Best bet, check in the ROM thread for available mods. If it isn't there, check in the same thread if anyone found any.
pm me and I will give you instructions how yo edit XML files to get the 5 bars.

So I was on wicked ROM and was getting bad data speeds inside my home.
So I switched to INFAMOUS ROM and was getting a lot faster speeds.
So I compared their build files in system and I found that these settings from infamous was what giving me better speeds.
I went back to wicked and changed the data tweaks and was getting better speeds.
Of course some may vary.

Wicked has stated something along his ROM and data I think, may be wrong but he doesn't add those lines for what ever reason. Many do add them cause they believe they work.

Read the first few posts in the baseband thread for more on this and how you might be able to make it even better.

Do you mean the stock AT&T ones?
Try There
Those are the ones I use; but, I'm on jedi and do not know how they would act with a stock ROM. I personally like Touchwiz. If you decide to go with those, make a backup first just in case.
I'm not using a stock ROM I'm using beanstalk. I'm running android 4.2.2. Its an aosp ROM instead of a touch wiz rom

Did your ROM come with the AT&T icons or the ASOP ones?

I had bean stalk 9/15/13 Rom installed, and it seemed like my signal bars were always very low, even when by my local sprint tower, and there's no update option in settings to update prl or profile..? So I'm back at stock ZVC 4.1.2 .. any thoughts?

Who is your carrier? Is it sprint or one of the mvno carriers?

AOSP ROMs for this phone currently have no way to update profile/pro natively through the system. And I heard that AOSP signal display is more calibrated for actual data, whereas signal on stock based ROM is more calibrated for voice calls.
