Didn't work for me. Should I have not wiped caches? It finished starting apps and bootlooped after that. Wouldn't start.

I did it without wiping cache, but i think thats not the Problem but try to flash it without an wipe please and report back . Did you use the stock ROM ? Or a ROM based on stock? Becouse ive mod the framework-res.apk of the jwr66v factory image from Google. ... You can give me your framework-res.apk and i can mod that. But if you are on stock it should work ...

First time I did it I remember wiping the cache and got it bootloopi g after the loading apps screen just like him.
It worked last night but I didn't wipe the cache, weird cause I don't even see how could wiping cache could affect the kind of mod?

Try again and don't wipe cache. A second flash worked for me.
Completely stock 4.3 ota rom & rooted.

I'll try it again tomorrow. I'm on stock rooted so it should work. It'd be weird if the problem lays in wiping the cashes.

If you're using twrp use the sideload feature. It's really helpful. It's what I used when I was bootlooping.

i restarted my phone and its stuck on bootloop, what do i do?
Try reflashing the ROM without wiping. BTW, for better help, honestly, you need to explain a lot more than the 3-4 words you have posted.
Actually i got the same prob. I disconnected from usb without pressing turn off (i use cyanogen 7.0.3 stable). After doing so, adw launcher didnt seem to respond so i decided to reboot. After that, i got boot loop on reboot. Flashing the rom again seems to solve the problem, but only until next reboot. Any suggestions?

The same type of question,2-3 sentance, no spec of phone. Dude post your spec.
Else try a clean install, formatting boot, system, cache, dalivc cache, user data, ext , etc.

Nop,not necessarily. Cos some will do it as default. But some wont. But it will do no harm if u do, other than consuming 2-5 minutes .

Ok , then the option remaining is restore from backup. If u have the backup of current rom, go to advanced backup in cwm and do system resrore only. And check if it works. If it wont, do full wipe and do a complete restore. No more optns.:-(

i dont have a backup, unfortunantly, looks like i will have to wait until future releases of splash ics then to see if the problem is with other wildfires trying to run that ROM or if it is just mine :-(
Should i redownload the rom to see if that works for me?
Tried wiping data/cache/dalvik cache/system/data-factory reset, and then reflash? 1st boot always takes more time btw.

I used CWMR and installed this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778190
When I power it on, it stays on a Boot Animation screen (a colorful X that glows) for an indefinite amount of time. I left it there for around an hour before giving up and restoring to my backup (rooted) Gingerbread.
Anyone know what might be my problem? Thanks.
P.S: I searched the thread, I couldn't find a solution to my problem.

Maybe start over. Wipe data, cache, dalvik, format /system, flash rom. Reboot back into recovery and wipe data & cache again. Reboot
I'm assuming you made a backup before flashing this, in the event you need to restore it if this does not work
Its not working again...think need to go back to 9

Which kernel versions have you tried? Those based on 3.0 or 3.4? I believe he may have changed the base for the ROM in this release. Are you flashing the ROM by itself or are you flashing multiple zips at the same time?

Hi,
I was trying to flash my Evo 4G Supersonic to Unofficial Dirty Unicorns 4.2.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2346016&page=3) rom and got stuck on the boot animation for over 1/2 hour, it never booted.
I am safe now because I restored to my original rom, (MIkG 3.11 which is gingerbread) but I really would like to upgrade this phone to a newer OS version before I have to finally say good bye to it and go with whatever phone companies are giving for free.
I'm using Revolutionary CWM v4.0.1.4 to flash this ROM, and I'm cleaning data and cache before flashing the ROM and GAPPS. My SD Card is also partitioned to use APP2SD and it works well in my current ROM.
Has anyone experienced this same issue? or can you recommend any steps I may be missing?
Thank you
Rich
