Turned off the tablet last night and threw it on the wireless charger. Woke up this morning to turn it on and it stalls on the boot animation. I hold down power for several seconds, then press again to reboot. It booted this time but i lost selections of data, for instance some games and a bunch of apps had to be re updated..
im running stock 4.3 rooted.

Running a rooted, unlocked, EVO 4g running CM 7.2.0 Rom
I've seen this same behavior twice. Once yesterday and once today.
Yesterday
Phone was plugged into usb port of laptop charging (around 50% at the time) was running Pandora and Wifi Tether (build into ROM). Phone crashes to off, no reboot attempt. Attempt to power phone back on yields no result (no lights, no screen ... nothing). Remove battery for 10-15 mins, insert and hook up to a AC charger and hit power button. Red light starts flashing, I wait for it to turn solid and try booting again. This time phone turns on and hangs at white HTC EVO splash screen. I then boot phone into custom recovery image, clear cache partition, and reboot. Phone boots ROM fully, batter reads 50% still and works fine until the next day.
Today
Phone was plugged in running Wifi tether, but not Pandora. Same behavior in crashing, removing battery, hooking up ac charger etc... this time however it didn't hang on the HTC EVO splash screen, and boots the ROM. However, the battery no reads 0% and wasn't charging. Removing the AC charger causes phone to shutdown. Reboot rom again, still read 0%, but let it sit for a few minutes and begins to charge. Appears to be charging fine and holds its own without the ac charger. **Note - battery was also around 50% or so when it crashed out
Questions:
Whats the root here? Bad battery? Bad rom? Thoughts on root cause would help if anyone has gone through this.
Thanks!
I'd say a combination of battery and ROM. Try flashing a new ROM and if it continues, try a new battery.
hi, yesterday i had my gn in my pocket took it out it was warm and unresponsive. SO i removed the battery and it restarted. Now this morning i had the alarm set at 730, it started up i snoozed it but it never woke me up. I, then, turned airplane mode off, and i kept having touchwiz crashes..i can't do anything except pull down the notifications. It crashes reloads and crashes again..I'm all on stock, rooted dlj2.
I wiped cache and delvik in recovery, to no vail
This is happened to me several times now. I will notice that my Moto 360 has shutdown by itself. If I tried to turn it back on then then my watch will start the boot process but then shutdown in the middle of the boot process. The only way to turn it back on is to put it on the charger. While on the charger, the watch boots up fine and there is still plenty of battery remaining. Any one know how to fix this? I have already done a factory reset.
I have a similar issue, if I ask my watch to reboot it will often shut down and not restart, I then can not get it to start with the side button, I need to place it on the charger to get it to boot up, also a couple of days ago I put my watch on the charger to give it a little boost as I was going out after work, It charged an extra 10 % but was only at about 46%, so I decided to put it in theatre mode to save power while I was travelling to the meet up, about an hour later I found it would not wake up and my phone said it was disconnected, when I got home 5 hours later and put it on the charger the battery was completley dead, sat for about 15/20 mins before it auto booted.
I have a Huawei P6 that randomly turns off after unplugging it, The phone actually holds the charge and take time to fully charge, also sometimes if not touched it will stay ON for too long but after plugging it then using it it will say "Random app" Has stopped working and becomes totally unusable until restart, The problem started when I tried to Download a 1GB file add to that I started downloading in the morning which means that hasn't been used for good amount of hours but it overheated and when I turn it ON it either get stuck on Huawei logo or shutdown after it, I can access Android System Recovery with no problem.
I have an old Tab S from AT&T running 6.0.1. I've owned it since they first came out, and it's always worked fine until just this week. I usually leave it in airplane mode when I'm not using it because its battery has always drained faster than I'd like when its online, but this has never been a problem. I only use it for an hour or less most days anyway.
The other day I turned off airplane mode but WiFi wouldn't come on... the icon turns on dim for a minute, then goes off, and manually enabling it doesn't work. The on/off slider in settings slides over but stays gray, then eventually turns itself off.
The first time this happened I rebooted and that fixed it.
A couple days later it happened again and now I can't fix it. I've restarted, I've power cycled it, and I've cleared the data cache... no change.
Bluetooth works, location works, and cell data works.
Also now when I boot up, I get an error "Process System Isn't Responding. End task or wait?" It doesn't seem to matter which option I choose.
Any thoughts?
Some how your system might get conflicted with your app or system apk get corrupted?Reset tablet or reflash os with odin. The worst situation, just rooted and install custom rom.
