I want to play most wanted with full graphic settings on Ion.
Is it possible?
Like this?

The game doesn´t even work i think. I had installed it on my Ion and could drive some races but at one point it just crashed when i wanted to load a race.

Works fine for me. At some points in rare occasions it seems to get a little lag for like 5 sec then jumps out of it.
Xperia LT28at running BlackZax'7 JB. 211
I think the graphics look great without any mods. Just my opinion tho. Take a looksy!
(its hard to race and screen shot the same time)
Xperia LT28at running BlackZax'7 JB. 211
Same here. Worked fine but lagged for about 5 seconds and then good to go.

It work for me fine!
Just the Google Play don't show.
Download anywhere and install.
works for me just fine on stock jb. it's funny when you realise that your phone has better hardware specs and better resolution than playstation 1, isn't it?
Never know that it works now on Jelly Bean. I´ve tried on ICS and could drove 4-5 races but then it just crashed when i wanted to race. Thanks !
Asphalt 7 Heat on Ion
I Installed Asphalt 7 Heat on Xperia Ion (Firmware : LT28h Android 4.1.2) and it works without any lag. :good:

Yeah the same was happening with Real Racing 3 when you have alot of apps running, now on JB the RAM management is way better and the game doesnt close to desktop

So I recently unlocked my bootloader and have been trying various roms; however, whenever I try an ICS rom, I always experience framerate lag on gameboid (with sound on). FPSE and N64oid seem to run at full speed. I've have tried overclocking as well, but I still experience the same lag. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this, or should I just go back to GB?
Frame skip to 0.

Thanks, I tried that and the video lag is gone, but now the audio seems very glitchy and jumpy. Is that supposed to happen?
I've noticed this as well, but haven't put any thought into it being caused by ICS. I'll play with some settings and see what I can find out.

Setting frameskip to automatic mode & 1, fixes audio lag for me and doesn't seem to affect video

B*tch please, Gameboid can't even start a game on FXP116 CM9! Please tell me what rom are you using
Anyways setting frameskip to 0 or sometimes even automatic often fixes "emulator lag" in every device that can run one (PC, PSP, etc.), at least for me.

The framerate is fixable with the frame skip, but the sound will always experience that distortion. The better your CPU and RAM, the better the sound is processed, but overall it's difficult to get rid of the sound problems.
I use a Galaxy S 4g and I still get those sound issues.

That's funny, because FXP has only released 115 CM9 for the Play so far. Expect 116 later today, though, unless you compiled one yourself.

Well the sound works perfectly fine on CM7, but on CM9 it gets very glitchy. I'm assuming it's because how much of a ram hog ICS is.

WRONG! Stock official ICS isn't actually a ram hog or battery hog, but other unofficial builds for some phone models are. For example, CM9 experiences battery drain and consumes half of the ram for Sony Xperia devices and others while it does not for some other phones, then there's the official Sony ICS beta for the Xperia devices built separately for each one, which runs smooth, and has its own problems, like broken wifi indicator.
tl;dr: If you are going to blame someone, it's the ones who built CM9 for your device, not Google, AOSP or your carrier.

But in general, ICS is more resource intensive than GB will ever be, so even stock ICS (IMO) probably wouldn't run as efficiently as say CM7. (I might be talking out my ass, but this is the conclusion I've come to from user experience)
Edit: Also, my gameboid games are starting fine on CM9
This is what I did to fix the problem.. Turn your data connection off and the emulator will run a lot smoother
Hi Guys,
I Flashed Offical ICS Release for Xperia ARC S to my Xperia ARC, like many of us.
After few hours of usage.
I noticed, sometimes my ARC can't response properly to my touch.
Like, i try swipe left from home screen it swipe back itself.
it is also happening when im using Browser (Any Browser)
Sometimes, It's doing weird things after i touch it.
(BTW I checked my all other fingers and they are not touching to the screen )
And i remember, Xperia ARC's and ARC S's display drivers are different.
Is it driver related problem ?
Or is it just me seeing weird things
If it is driver related, will it be fixed when Offical ICS for Xperia ARC released ?
Thank you for reading.
Sorry for my English.
Best Regards.
try restarting your phone...my phone does that kind of thing sometimes while charging..
I restarted it a lot
Thank you for your answer.
i have this issue playing temple run on ics.......swipe to tuen and i jump!
Hm..
So maybe it is Driver related like i thought ?
Thank you for answer.
have you tried selecting in developer options "pointer location". Does it shows you something wrong with the touchscreen?
Are you running the ICS Arc S firmware on the vanilla Arc (LT15)?
If so, that may be it. I remember reading from Sony stating that there is a minor difference in screen (hardware/software...cannot remember which) when comparing the Arc S to the original Arc.
That could explain why Arc users may be experiencing a little touch delay when running the official Arc S ICS Rom.
The same problem on Xperia Ray ST18i too..

Yep...weird responses even if I didnt select them.
Especially in games.
AFAIK Sony did mention that you would experience lag on ICS as it requires a bit largers specs than the Xperia 2011 devices. Honestly I would expect these kind of situations specially this was the initial release.

If so, is there some possibility that some DEV could get the drivers from a LT15a/i to get implemented?
Yupp, This Thing Happens with me When I'm Playing Temple Run
Althouth In Normal Usage, It doesnt.
Anybody tried this : [ICSbeta] finally a responsive touchscreen + battery life *try this* : UPDATED 4/7/12 ??
Also add this line to build.prop:
Code:
ro.max.fling_velocity=4000
I have the same problem with Temple Run (Arc S) on the final ICS release.
I also occasionally open a game like Angry Birds, Frisbee, etc. and the touch controls just don't work at all. Other apps are fine (Draw Something for example). Sometimes a reboot fixes it - sometimes I have to power off/on.
It's driving me nuts.

Yeah, I confirm it too. Happens in all ICS roms I've tried; CM9, JJ's 1.1, Arconium ICS 1.0 etc.
Temple Run is unplayable, what a shame.
I'm using ICS official, touch screen is not what is used to be on GB.
What a shame Sony

Single touch responsiveness is just as good as GB over here.
Simultaneous dual touch (tapping two fingers at the same time) on the other hand, is a different story. Most of the time it only registers the first touch and the second touch is slightly late.
I have the dixperia 2 rom. I tried clicking on this link when i was using my phone browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmVhLmdhbWVzLm5mczEzX3JvdyJd
It took me to the most wanted page on google play, but it says my phone isnt compatible with the game. How? The game is xperia optimized so my phone should work on it since my phone is a r800i, xperia play.
Also, im still having trouble connecting to the internet using my mobile data. Any suggestions? Im on tmobile
Also, is the stock rom really good if you want flawless performance in 3d gaming?

hey there I'm not an expert but I recently changed from stock to dixperia 2 about 2 days ago and I think gaming is a lot smoother and better performance wise and a lot more stable as I'm a heavy gamer especially for 3D games I love it and as for network problems can you connect to the internet via 3g or not and have you set the apn for it? and need for speed isn't working for xperia play atm on the play store luckily I bought it on my dad's note and transferd it my phone but I hope a fix comes soon as it runs flawlessly on my xperia play =D

@ilikethewayyoumove2, I know thay dixperia 2 is much smoother and faster than jokawild v3 rom, do u occasionally lag when playing gta 3?? Whats your settings on that game?
Also, I have no apn coz I think it got deleted when switching roms. Any way of getting it back?
I don't get any lag per say not saying it's perfect but a lot better I use V6 supercharger as well which helps and you have to set apn yourself Google tmobile apn or something btw how much free ram do you get?
I get about 224-205mb free RAM when using the phone normally (e.g. surfing internet etc) and when the phone is idle.
When heavily 3d gaming, I get about 150-60mb free RAM. Is v6 supercharger and kernal? Coz i have doomkernal v14.
Ive contacted the UK T-Mobile twitter team. They should get in touch with me in about a few hours time. Ive used their twitter service and so far, they've resolved all my problems.
no its a script I'm on a locked bootloader so no custom kernel for me =( and pretty good free ram I normally only get about 145-40 mb of free ram but I get hardly any lag so I'm fine with that =D
oh... then i think i dont lag as much as you. Still, xperia play is a good phone at handling 3d games despite having a small amount of RAM and being a single core
Is it possible for me to get v6 supercharger with my r800i? (I have a .62fw, doomkernalv14, DiXperia2 rom)...
its compatible with all phones and really helps performance and laggy in games fifa 12 doesn't lag at all for me anymore =D
I kinda like that game and I usually play it at least once a day, especially on the toilet (I mean, is there any other use for these shallow smartphone games other than being toilet past times?).
Yesterday I updated the game on play store and now the game runs in slow motion.
Has anyone else noticed this issue? Can someone download the game on his Xperia S and tell me if it works fine for you?

Can someone with the stock rom please download the game and test it? I want to see if I'm the only one with this issue. The game is free so if you want to test this it will only take a few minutes. And besides, the game is pretty fun, so it's an opportunity to give it a try.

Running fine on my phone with stock .200 firmware.
You should try and close some applications, especially FB.
Meh. I just reset my phone, and it still runs slow motion and lags horribly. That being said, I don't use facebook and my phone was running fine before too, I tested it with benchmarks and other games.
Are you lying or what? I bet you didn't even test the game.
Hi guys, I have a problem playing games such as GTA III on my Xperia Play with any ICS ROM: everytime I launch the game, it freezes after a few seconds and I have to pull out the battery since the device stops responding.
Do you have this problem too ? Is it possible to solve it ? And...games aren't supposed to work better on newer versions of Android ? I know that ICS leaves less free RAM but there's are ICS ROMs like Krisdee's hybrid rom that leaves 200mb of free RAM like GB ROMs so I don't know what could be the problem...I've tried overclock to 1,6 GHz too, problem persists.

Not sure if you still have this problem but you should know that just because some android versions (ICS, JB etc) are newer, it doesn't necessarily make performance better. This will be the case when it comes to the Xperia Play, since this 2011 phone has never received an official upgrade to ICS (due to performance issues). When it comes to our phone, Gaming and Battery will always be better on Gingerbread since it is more battery friendly and less laggy performance wise.
If you want to stay on ICS then your best bet will be installing some mods such as Ice Cream Speed or PurePerformancesX however like i said if you're the gaming type then stay on GB for your phones full potential
Good luck

Asphalt 8 isn't compatible with the Xperia Play hardware so even if you have JB or ICS you can't even download the game from the Play Store it just says that the phone isn't compatible.
Anyways, I've tried it with a JB rom (downloading directly the apk+obb file) and the game installed succesfully but it was crashing during the loading before the first race so isn't playable.

True... I hope they make a newer version with better hardware.
Still, I managed to run GTA San Andreas on Fusion ICS. You can use the buttons and analog touchpad with gamekeyboard.
Overclocked at 1.5 GHZ and swap of 512MB it won't crash. sometimes I get 30 fps, but most of the time I get a crappy 10 fps...
