Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you cannot use media hub on rooted devices. You can try unrooting. Not 100% this will work. Best bet, stay on stock unrooted.
I'm rooted and it works as long as I stay stock rooted

Huh, guess I heard wrong. My bad
Half wrong maybe.
If you root using root66 it will not change the status to modified. But if you root by other methods it'll show its been modified. So what you heard is correct, you just didn't hear the rest I guess.

How do i get that stupid app back? I just deleted it this mrng lol
Just pull the apk from some stock non-debloated ROM.
I am more interested in knowing what system checks it runs before letting you rent/watch/download movies. I restored mine from TiB and when I launch it, it opens, circles and the opens again and cirles again. Never force closes or fully loads up. Almost like an app bootloop if you catch my drift.
In my Googling I found that in the older Vibrant, Media Hub would run a series of system checks before it would let you watch anything. I am wondering what it checks for (probably Root like Google Movies and Vudu) but what else? I have always just deleted it but for some reason this time I froze it.

Also you can re-install the ROM you have without wiping anything. I will just incase go back to Odin Stock.

I wonder if this will be something we can download and transfer to another device, or stream only.
Here's the apk guys. Just copy it to /ssystem/app/ and change the permissions to match other files in the same folder.
Also I don't know if it will work but I know paid version of SU lets you temp unroot. I think ota rootkeeper does as well.
So do I get to keep the movie or just watchable on that day?

I rooted my vibrant and never had an issue with media hub unlike google video which had to be tricked with terminal emulator to get it to work.
I rooted my gs3 and media hub works fine so far.

Sweet then. What ROM are you on btw?
I cannot get my Media Hub to stay open. It just loops and never fully stays on. I've restored, wiped apps data, replaced, cleared /cache and /dalvik and fixed permissions, defrosted all the Samsung apps and the dang app won't stay open.
I'm running Wanam's LH2 with Morfic's Alpha7b atm but think I might Odin to do a little house cleaning. Any ideas anyone?
Attached is the flashplayer.apk that works on JB...should be able to install with apk manager...if that doesn't work move to /system/app and reboot...i take no credit for this as I just found it and figured I would post for all to benefit.
How do i test to see it works?
Play a flash video on internet

is anyone experiencing flash not supporting/allowing full screen? had this question asked but since I don't use JB I can't answer it...
Does this work for any JB based rom? or only for aosp roms? Id like to switch to touch wiz JB based roms from ICS. Flash is the only reason why ive stayed with ICS
Just our luck that when we need to find a video that requires flash for testing purposes, we can't find a one. LoL

There is a point to that, Flash is going away for HTML5. Though is Vimeo flash or HTML though?

Works for me on stock browser. If you need a testing site, try the YouTube.com desktop site from your device. It still uses flash for their videos. In browser hit menu/desktop. Thanks for posting this. It's also in the Android themes/apps section on XDA.

This flashplayer works but is there any way to stop the phone from going in to sleep mode while watching flash video? I never had this problem in ICS but when I switched to a JB rom now when the screen times out it goes off and kills the video rather than stay on the length of the video that is playing in flash. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well a friend of mine rooted, and the learning hub came up with a message saying that is doesn't work after root, so some apps don't work after root, but I was wondering which ones don't work
Cheers

lol that's odd haha. I have been downloading from Samsung apps with no such problem.
I just downloaded learning hub to try it and it just crashes without any reason.
Might be causes by root. It's the first time I've come across any app that doesn't like root. But there is a first for everything haha
edit: Just googled it and yeah apparently it is an issue with root. Never knew haha.
I also found that the add credit card option inside Video Hub makes the app to crash and restart.
Not sure if it's a root related thing, but I will make some tests (like disabling super user inside SU app or using Triangle Away to reset counter) to discover.
I removed ALL the hubs, haha... I'll find my own content thanks
Im currently running macksROM 4.0 progression L900VPALJC, 3.0.36-persius-alpha29 (kernal) on my sprint SPH-L900.
I just received my shinny new toy the Samsung All Share cast wireless hub. , My plans are to run my phone on my tv via said new toy. Problem is that they are not recognizing each other. Since this is my first rom I have ever flashed, need a little advice on how to proceed.
I am thinking that because of the rom that I have this is the problem they are not syncing. Any search for team veritas or macks rom I get from this site, the links are to threads that are gone.
1. Should I remove the rom and go back to factory data reset. (I really like this rom and want a solution to keep it)
2. Anyone have a link to macksrom 4.0 support?
3. Is there another rom proven to work fine with the All Share Cast?
I could be wrong, but I believe only stock rom supports it atm.

Would you have a link to a safe uninstall and restore tutorial?
Go into original development and use the root toolbox.

Itll help a lot to know if you're using a custom rom, are rooted, have you ever flashed any firmware?
What is your current build/baseband? Have you updated any of the Sammy apps like Media Hub, AllShare Cast, etc?

I have stock room rooted and please see the screen shot attached with the message with more information

Go into status and at the bottom does it say modified?
If so it may be causing the problem. Is the rom deodexed? Any bloat removed?
Did it work previously?
Try updating the sammy apps on the play store if you haven't already.
I also see your baseband and build dont match, so in guessing you updated by flashing a stock rom here? If this is the case you didn't get the full update which could also be the culprit.
Try Odin flashing the root66 firmware and see if it it works then. Im betting it will.
