I just switched to Tmobile from AT&T and I'm wanting to use the full functionality of the Tmobile ROM, is it possible or will I damage my phone?
Did you change the sim or the full phone? Check your model number and find a rom with that model number and you should be good.
I am still using the AT&T SGH-1747 (d2att) phone. I just want to use the Tmobile ROM and I was wondering if it was safe.
You can also flash the Aroma based roms here for the d2att which will give you the option to flash as it were a T-Mo phone. (I'm guessing you have a d2att unlocked using T-Mo service) that will give you the correct APNs and build.props to let your d2att act as a d2tmo

Can i flash a TMO S3 Kernel on my S3 AT&T without brick ?
And what about TMO roms ?
Thank you
I've flashed some of there roms and kernels, most of them work. Trinity kernel will not work with our leaked firmware though, if your rom is based on that. With the ROMs you will have to change your apn settings as well to att from tmo.
Just make sure you backup before trying anything.

they are a unified kernel, but you might have to change the apn settings. which kernel are you looking to go to?
monay
do you get charged for this any costs??
As the title states, I just picked up a AT&T galaxy S3. I am looking to use it on T-Mobile. Coming from a galaxy S1, the unlocking procedure is a bit different. It also seems that roms are fairly brand specific, so I assume I should be looking for i747 roms. There are so many options out there, could anyone point me in the right direction to get this phone up and running? Are there any special considerations I should be taking since I am using an AT&T phone on T-Mobile?

Before you do anything, if you want to unlock you phone so you can use it on another network go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033225&highlight=sim+unlock
You will probably need to change the apn numbers to match t-mobile which is easy.... as far as roms go, you should do some searching for t-moible roms in the development thread. Also not being familiar with AT&T and T-mobile you should check to see if they use the same band and also check which modem (radio) you need... I am sure there have been lots of people that have done this arleady.... search search search at least you asked the question before you started not after you had a wreck
Thanks for the link. I did the unlock procedure, haven't tested it yet since I still need to cut down my SIM card.
I also went through and did the CF-Root procedure with ODIN. So theoretically the phone should be ready to flash a custom rom.
I was under the impression that I should be looking at i747 roms instead of the T-mobile version (i999?) since my device is originally AT&T branded. You are saying this is not the case? Basically I should look at roms in the T-Mobile section? It might not matter anyway since some popular roms run on both.
UPDATE:
I installed Stockorama V2 on the phone and it is up and running on t-mobile. It is a multi-carrier rom, but I used the AT&T options when installing. Would I have better luck installing it as T-Mobile? Basically, can I install a T999 rom/kernel on a i747?

That's what I'm wondering.. I'm the reverse of you (ATT note 3 Tmobile carrier) and wondering if it'll fix my shotty data.
Flashing the csc won't help you. It only sets up feature sets and tells the system which prepackaged apks are speed to be installed.
Flashing modems might help, but beware, it might also brick your device to the point professional help may be required (spt box, etc).

Is there such thing as a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 rom? My S4, I was debloating it and messed it up so my cousin helped me flash it with a different version of the S4 TouchWiz rom but I'm having problems with it (freezing, restarting, shut down). So here's to you hoping someone can help us with this.

See if sammobile.com has the stock firmware and if it does flash it in Odin
The SHG-M919 is the handset sold by T-mobile, by T-mobile. Under settings>more>about device the baseband version for T-mobile should be M919UVUAMDL. If this is the case, that you have a T-mobile handset. The back cover should also say T-mobile, unless it's been replaced.
That is a ATT baseband.. Interesting!
Well if you are brave flash T-Mobile stock and let us know how it goes!

The ROMs will work with T-Mobile, but you will probably have to manually load the T-Mo APN settings.
Which bootloader and modem are you on? If you want TW you will not have LP roms as an option, not a problem for me but others always want the latest and greatest. TW KitKat ROMs require at least the NE4 bootloader, unless you are using one of two custom kernels with the MJB bootloader.
