Hello
Hopefully this is quite simple.
I have just unrooted my N7105. I was already running stock 4.1.1. and went into SuperSU and asked it to unroot. All went fine.
I ran Triangle Away before doing this. However it still says "Custom Binary Download: Yes (1 counts)". And my device still says modified.
Question is: Now I've unrooted, would I have to re-root to get rid of the modified status and custom binary download count?
If so once I've done this, how would I get rid of the modified status as Triangle Away didn't seem to work?
Also how do I get rid of TWRP and set it back to stock recovery?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Where you find counter 1? If on triangle away application then don't count it. Just reboot to download mode (Vol Down +Home +power) and check flash counter.

Thanks for the reply
I've now sorted the triangle away problem. But now it says the following in download mode:
Odin Mode
Product Name: GT-N7105
Custom Binary Download: No
Custom Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
How would I change the System status from custom? My device still says modified under settings as well so need this changing too.
Also when attempting to update OTA to 4.1.2, the "Checking for Updates" box keeps on rolling.
Thanks again!
Your flash counter is normal 0
Just factory reset and it will be normal.

Please take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 for advice on how to ask for help.
Nobody can help you with the information you have given - which custom ROM? Which version of it? What kernel are you using? Which version of TriangleAway are you using? Describe accurately exactly what happens when you attempt to use triangle away - what do you expect to happen? What do you see?
If you can describe the problem in detail, people can help you.

Thanks for your information. i tried it and still faced same problem
Are you booting in recovery after resetting? Cause that will increase the counter again.
After resetting do not use triangle away again to check nor boot in recivery.
Just use download mode to see if it worked.

Use stock kernel and stock recovery, otherwise you'll always get flash counter 1
As above said you need to use stock recovery and kernel to reset counter, otherwise you have to use play store version of triangle away with option to reset at every boot.

Thank you dr. Ketan. I used official firmware by flashing it with mobile odin, and it was success.
Hello guys. Today first time rooted my note 2 and flash up ARHD. Everything looks okey except phone status? When im checking my status its shows me my phone is "modified".
What it means and is it normal after root?
Hi
Of course this is normal but you can back to "Normal" status if you prefer.
This is just for theoretical warranty.
Thanks for it. I I tried triagle away but its still shows me the same status. Well, if you know any good and safe way how to do it please let me know
If your recovery is custom, status will remain modified as well flash count also remain 1.
Which is your recovery and kernel stock /custom?

Hi Dr.Ketan
My counter is 0 despite custom rom & kernel thanks to Triangle Away app and 'Auto reset at boot' option.
Concerning the 'normal' I have a tutorial but in french only. You need XposedInstaller with XposedSysscopeBlaster module.
Yeah but very few kernel have this support.

Just do a factory reset while on stock and you'll get normal status back. Only required when you're in need of getting your warranty back. Of course you'll need to have used triangle away beforehand to get rid of the counters before you flash stock.

Before u unrooted did you folow these steps?
1. Install triangle away
2. Open it and choose for "reset" binary counter. Will ask u to confirm choose yes..
3. It will boot now on a custom "recovery" choose delete/reset and reboot.
4. Before ur phone boots u have to prevent that and go to odin download mode.. flash stock rom..
5. Youd be unrooted en everything official now.
(Worked everytime for me)

So i want to root my note 2 but do i have to flash the Triangleaway right away or later on when i want go back to stock i can do it then ?
Triangle away is the app to reset the flash counter in samsung devices.no need to use triangle away for rooting.it will just reset the number of times you flashed the firmware to zero.

Yep.but if you want warranty you should reset the flash counter before going to service centre.that's how they see how many times you flashed firmware.

thanks a lot, and btw how do you install the twrp recovery ,?
Download goo from the market and install from menu button.
FYI..resetting counter doesnt revert your rooted phone back to stock. After running triangle away you still need to unroot using SuperSu then factory reset n stock recovery. If you skip unroot and factory reset steps it will show 0 count but status will show customized when you go to download mode.
I just rooted my n900t however I've decided to unroot it however was wondering if just going into the supersu app and tapping the unroot button would make my system status official will this happen??
No

Let me rephrase the question. I have stock recovery. Stock ROM all I did was root it bootloader is still locked Knox is still 0x0 in download mode. So then will just uninstalling supersu from the app work??

You can uninstall and or disable supersu ten times and your phone will still never be
in 100% stock status even if KNOX is 0x0 once you root the phone, flash a kernel or
flash a cwm/twrp flashable custom rom.
That was the whole idea behind the "triangle away" was to make the status of the phone
STOCK after flashing custom roms but Triangle Away does not work on the NOTE 3
since the firmware is 4.3. Triangle Away still works fine with phones that still have
the 4.2.2 firmwares/roms.
I think you are mixing up KNOX with the STATUS/flash counter, they are two different things.
Good luck!

No, what you have to do is go to supersu/settings/full unroot. Reboot on stock recovery then, clean cache partition, system reset, and then reboot. You will be set there and your status will be back to official on download (Odin Mode), and also in your phone settings. Which method you use to root your phone?
