[Q] creating a gold card. Hit or Miss.

Why is it that sometimes I can create a gold card, using the Gold card tool, sometimes I cant?
Right after the Gold card Tool says "successful. now D: is a goldcard", when I change from Disk Drive to Charge Only, the phone can't detect the SD card.
I've tried 3 different SD card.
When I pull the SD card out & put it directly into the laptop, it says the SD card is not formatted.
Formatting the SD card will help the phone accept the SD card again, but if I try to create the gold card again, same thing happens.
Is it the ROM? or is it the apps installed causing conflict? weird...
Please advice,
D

Usually the fastest is if you have a card reader on your pc.
If not connect your phone to your pc and copy everything off. Then swap the sd card and copy the files back, don't turn off your phone. just take off the back and hold the battery in place.
