For me the original nexus felt great in the hand and was easy to hold for long durations of time can anyone confirm that this is the same with the 2013 model or even better? thanks

Yea, i can confirm. It's 50g lighter, and you can feel it, and it was taken in on the width, so it feels nice holding it with both and single handedly.
And the screen with the minimal fingerprints is nice as well. I bought mine yesterday, and my buddy bought one as well, and he had the original nexus 7.

Nice but it doesnt cover the bottom fully right
it doesn't fit the extended battery.
Sorry for the double threads but I figured this will be better to get opinions. Can everyone say their favorite case for the lte version gnex? Pictures would be great. Also is it a dust magnet? My last case actually scratched my phone a lot by drawing dust into the case.

my favourite is .....
this is called case mate creature case. this is pure silicon(high quality..not like your usual cheap eBay silicon cases)...lil bit of dirt magnet....the best part is the design engraved on the back of the cover...protects the phone very well...no scratches whatsoever...

Unfortunately it seems that the case makers jumped on the gsm version and assumed the lte version would be close enough.
Even with its problems, the ultra hybrid is still my favorite. It's pulled away a touch at the top and the back does get a little loose when hot, but it's not really that bad. I like how it doesn't have cutouts for the buttons, which I like. It feels the least like a case of any I've seen.

battery Case
Just received a different one in the post yesterday. Seems to work well and looks fantastic on the phone. I also brought a Pearl White one for my daughter but might keep that as well. Brought it from droidax.

Here are some new pics. Yes it has 4 on the back when you press the on/off switch they only stay on briefly- which is good as who really wants lights on all the time and of course when you are charging it they are on. Looks really nice with the Matte finish, really happy with it.

Mine doesn't do this. *Knock on wood,* but my n7 seems to be flawless. O was super worried with all of the QC issues, and seemed to have really lucked out. I got a 32gb launch model from BestBuy the Saturday after it was released.

Yea, I mean for the size of the note 2 it's pretty light. But an even lighter phone would make one hand operation a little easier to use, allowing you to maneuver the phone around better with just one hand.
