[Q] About Grand's 3.5mm jack - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi, currently I found out there is something weird with my Grand's 3.5mm jack. It looks like it is bended (not straight). Here are some example:
Screen facing up (headset connector bended upwards)

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Screen facing down (headset connector bended downwards)
As you can see the 3.5mm connector is bended, not straight. I have already tried with other headset and still the same. (But the headset is working perfectly)
Is it normal or just my phone only?

Lol it may be possible that the wire has been bend at that point. As water pipe gets bended when left at same position for few days.

Nope, if I plug the earphone anti-dust plug, it also seems bended.

That IS a great looking dock. If they made a pogo pin variant for the galaxy nexus, I would buy it in a heart beat.
Link isn't working for me. It shows the site but they list nothing for android for me.

Does the micro usb rotate 180°? I have a couple of devices and want to know if they all could sit in the dock and not be facing backwards

Replaced Charging Port

For anyone else who has had trouble with their charging port.... I replaced mine last night with a $8 one from eBay. Easy repair... just need torx screwdriver and a small Phillips one like for glasses... no soldering... just a ribbon cable and it works perfectly now. Just thought I would let anyone interested in doing their own know that its a easy fix.

Thanks, I was just about to order one!
How's your headphone jack? Mine's kinda wonky, commands the phone to call the last call when I unplug my headphones :banghead:

Search for one for the INC. S
It's silver versus black (trim ring).

Mine is worn out, will order one from ebay and get it replace.....thanks for the heads up!! :good: :good: :good: :good: :good:
Thanks for this info
The fact that my charging port may just stop working one day (like it has for others) scared me. And I thought that I may have to return to stock (on possibly a low battery) and send it in for a repair. I'm ording one now so that when the day comes I'm prepared.
Although it is worth mentioning that I have never ever had an issue with my dinc 2 and that its in the same condition that it was a year ago.

I replaced mine a while back as well and the procedure was super easy. My only thing is I have 6 batteries and two chargers so I still rarely use the port unless I'm transferring something.

[Q] 30 pin connector to S2

I bought a 30 pin connector for the slot galaxy s2 (gt-i9100) for use in the speaker dock sony (slot iphone / ipod) but the connector does not work.

I think it's a fake cable. The contacts if the phone and the ipod are electrically connected but there isn't a communication protocol for this. It's like those usb-to-hdmi or usb-to-headphones cables which sometimes popup on ebay. They look right but serve absolutely no function.

Nokia 6 Headphone jack - possible problem?

Hi there. Today I tried for the first time some headphones with my nokia 6 (2018), and the connector is not straight with the chassis. Is this normal? Can someone confirm, please with your device? Thanks in advance.
Sorry about the picture quality.

Hi. thanks for the reply, so your's it's the same? Yeh, mine works fine too. I guess it's a design choice. Thanks again!
Mine seems to be the same. My phone also seems to give off a horrible buzzing noise when plugging into my car aux, so I am curious if my headphone jack is defective or if they really decided to not shield the aux cable signal.
Yeah I checked another unit today and they are all like this. I use Bluetooth in the car so I don't know. But tomorrow I will test that and let you know.
Also, the jack seems to be a little "mushy" and easy to remove... there's not real "click" when you plug your headphone... Did someone note that ?

It's definitely not mushy, and I feel a click when putting headphones into my phone. It does stick a bit out like on your pic though.

I think its to do with the way how the phone curves and so the headphone jack bonds with the body of the phone and not with the screen panel also i find that with my old head phones that have some of the copper worn off the end it tends to slowly wiggle it self out while with my more newer pair that has the copper coating present it works with a click still
I do however have a problem with the earphones that they give you im not sure if its to do with the update on the 02/08/18 but it cuts out and ill then have to unplug and plug the headphones back and it tends to make a really loud click i think its with the earphones and not the device its self.

Exactly the reason of why I chose to use this product. Somehow I trust wired headphones over a Bluetooth one
