That IS a great looking dock. If they made a pogo pin variant for the galaxy nexus, I would buy it in a heart beat.
Link isn't working for me. It shows the site but they list nothing for android for me.

Interesting, looks like some transformer ****.
In for video reviews.
Kind of spendy, but it's nice that it's universal.

Does the micro usb rotate 180°? I have a couple of devices and want to know if they all could sit in the dock and not be facing backwards

Hey guys,
basically what I would love to find is something to place into my car cupholder that would hold my phone while allowing both the usb power / and 3.5mm audio jack to be plugged in. I don't need a mount as such, anyway to hold it whilst allowing the cables to be plugged in would suffice.
I love to using the audio jack straight into the stereo, it works wonderfully as a makeshift handsfree. Please let me know of any ideas or possible modifications I could make to existing products to make this work. T
Thanks!!!
Would this work? It says you can connect cords through the base.
$6.95
It doesn't show as much of the screen as I would like but it does look like a very good option....I'd give a shot, one problem is no postage to Thailand.
Thanks though

Just search for cell-cup, it's sold everywhere... Amazon has a 2-pack of them for like $11.

Well a mount might work, if it was cheaper. This one is for iPhone so I'd be worried about it fitting. It's not a universal type mount is it?

but with the Micro USB port built in, like this
I do not need/want an FM transmitter, although if there was something that incorporated an Aux line out that would really make my day (not counting on it).
Anyone find anything? Thanks in advance!
What about buying both of those? Or the second one and some generic stand-arm. Usually the attachment on the back is either universal, or easy to drill the holes neccessary to combine them.

it's not exactly the same, but get the official one. it has the built in micro usb port, and the docking mechanism is a locking vacuum mechanism you can adhere to the windshield (or dash, or whatever is smooth)

Yea I of course have seen that one. Unfortunately I don't think I would have anywhere to stick it, and my windshield is too far away. Plus, doesn't that render your microsd card useless...ie I couldn't listen to music?
You can still listen to your music from the SD card with the Sprint mount. You just can't use the phone as a portable drive because the data port is being used by the charge adapter built into the mount.

And what do I do if the CD slot is behind a NAV screen? This is why the one the OP found is so great for me needs. He might be in a similar situation.
the sgs2 has meh quality.. but a direct digital read is perfect quality.. it cant be distorted, so if there is any fault it falls on the speakers. the iphone has a plug that can play music right from the USB plug, does the sgs2 have anything like this?

Yeah, iPhone has a line out dock. So does the iPods. I had been trying to search for "micro usb LOD" but it always comes out with nothing.
EDIT: Changed my search terms and found these 2 interesting links
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Micro-Usb-3-5mm-Adapter-LG-GR500-Xenon-VU-Plus-GR700-/150658151322?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2313ecf39a

This Line-In might not work because as it is, its a line in.
The official Samsung dock appears to have a Line Out via the USB port, so it must be possible.
A cheap USB to Lineout will have the same issue, a poor DAC.
What is that in the photo, on the bottom of the adapter? A Micro USB port?

You're forgetting the DAC. You will need to convert the digital data into analog *somewhere* -- if not the phone, then on some other device. If that's what you want to do, then you better be sure that your new DAC is better than the one built in the SGS2, otherwise you're just making the problem worse.
FYI, that iPhone pic is a headphone amp, it is not a DAC. The iPhone dock connector passes line-out analog audio through the dock connector. It is not a digital signal in the way you are thinking. Basically it is the same thing as the regular headphone output; the only difference is that it is not amplified.
A friend of mine was going on about this the other day...I'm sure he had a solution. I'll find out and report back!
A simple search would of found you the answer

Not passing through the Yamaha's preamp it's nice but isn't the output still susceptible to processor and GSM interference?
The official dock for the SGS2 has a line out. Not sure if this is thesame quality as the lineout on the phone itself.

Have you every did a proper controlled test to find out? The proprietary cable just make it harder to find and is made of a lousier quality material than what my Xplay came with. Have a couple of these usb cables at home and it exposes the insides easily.

Hi there. Today I tried for the first time some headphones with my nokia 6 (2018), and the connector is not straight with the chassis. Is this normal? Can someone confirm, please with your device? Thanks in advance.

Hi. thanks for the reply, so your's it's the same? Yeh, mine works fine too. I guess it's a design choice. Thanks again!
Mine seems to be the same. My phone also seems to give off a horrible buzzing noise when plugging into my car aux, so I am curious if my headphone jack is defective or if they really decided to not shield the aux cable signal.
Yeah I checked another unit today and they are all like this. I use Bluetooth in the car so I don't know. But tomorrow I will test that and let you know.
Also, the jack seems to be a little "mushy" and easy to remove... there's not real "click" when you plug your headphone... Did someone note that ?

It's definitely not mushy, and I feel a click when putting headphones into my phone. It does stick a bit out like on your pic though.

I think its to do with the way how the phone curves and so the headphone jack bonds with the body of the phone and not with the screen panel also i find that with my old head phones that have some of the copper worn off the end it tends to slowly wiggle it self out while with my more newer pair that has the copper coating present it works with a click still
I do however have a problem with the earphones that they give you im not sure if its to do with the update on the 02/08/18 but it cuts out and ill then have to unplug and plug the headphones back and it tends to make a really loud click i think its with the earphones and not the device its self.
