Well if you're talking about the stock clock then it SHOULD only appear under 'All', also having 0 data isn't bad as I can get that by pressing clear data. Have you tried Disabling and Re-enabling the app? Maybe force stopping might help too.
Thanks Sgtpanda for your reply, it looks like he was messing around in my file manager at the time..... I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. the button on top where your supposed to be able to disable/enable app...it says uninstall updates..but I have no update for the app? It just disappears altogether when I press uninstall updates...until I reboot again it shows the same thing?.......beating my head..

Okay then, open up your file manager and browser to /system/app, scroll down and there should be DeskClockGoogle.apk at 473.90k and DeskClockGoogle.odex ad 90.27K. Are both of those still present on your device?

Yes they are....just tried to install through there and no dice.
Right so when you try to install the app it says 'Application not installed', because if that's the case then I just broke my clock by moving it and when I put it back I got the same problem as you, the solution was to switch the device on and off which sounds really stupid, but have you tried that?

II tried a reboot and It didn't work either, I don't wanna have to factory reset but I just might have to.. Thank for your help
Well that should work, if you've already done it then hope it did, otherwise my last idea would be to extract the app from a stock rom and overwrite your files.

Hi,
I am on stock ROM with JB 4.1 and wanted to disable the Google search bar present in all the screens. I did a search and found that disabling it from "All Apps" removes it from the homescreen and so I tried that. What it does is removes the Google search bar, but the space occupied by it is still present with a rectangular patch and I cant place any widgets in that space. Can someone please tell me how to permanently remove the search bar.
P.S - My phone is not rooted!!!! Its new and I want to enjoy stock till I can...
Just root the phone and don't install a custom rom, thus you will still be stock except for the SU app. Then you can remove the search bar all together and gain that space back. This way you can enjoy the STOCK rom too. Although if you remove the search you technically aren't stock anymore.

Install nova or apex launcher, you can enable/disable the search bar or just have it only on one screen and not all.

How do you do this?
Install and run Exploit apk to get root:
Install XposedInstaller-ICS_JB-rc2.apk, follow instructions on post.
Install XposedMultiWindow.apk.
Open the Xposed Installer app (installed in step 2). Click 'Modules', then check 'xMulti Window Mod', and reboot. (activates the run-time patch allowing all apps to be multiwindow compatible).
BTW, there are more cool Xposed modules (like call recording, per-app dpi, and no 100% battery notification) you can download here. Xposedframework eliminates the need for stock rom chefs imho.
Amazing

How do I know if the multi-window works? I followed all these steps, but what I got is exactly the same as before. Where is the multi-window and how to call it out? Tried long press the return button but nothing happened. Or it does not work for T-mobile device?
I have completed the installation and have to admit that this made my night. Huge props to the person who developed this. Installing on my partners note 2 as well. Looking forward to seeing what else xposed comesbup with

Did you do the T-mobile update from yesterday? If so toggle multi window on in Settings--->Display. If you've done that then hold down your back button for a couple seconds the multi window should pop up at the left. You can hold back to hide it again.

Updated the subject. As the post above states, you need to be running the newest update.
This situation is an excellent example of why the xposed framework is such a great way to mod.
Had this been a standard flash patch, you would likely have force closes, or worse a soft brick.
With xposed, those problems are a thing of the past. If it can't hook the mod in, nothing happens (just as you are seeing). Hopefully in a future release there will be some indicator if a mod cant be hooked in.
Nevermind... got it working. F'n awesome, thank you!
Thank you for posting this mod. This made my day - I like keeping my phones with stock rom for as long as I can for stability sakes, and this mod is just what I needed.
Are there any draw backs to this mod? I was reading the original Exploit apk post and some are talking about a green camera screen.

If you just root through the app you'll be fine. The green camera screen happens when you check the boxes to actually disable the exploit.

Can someone please answer this? I don't want to get this mod and have every single app of mine show up on the multi window list, I just want a certain selection of apps
edit: nevermind, I installed it and you get to choose the apps to add to the list if anyone is wondering. They don't all just show up on the bar, you get a list of yours app and you edit the bar to choose what you want to add
Maybe you misunderstood him? All apps will only show when you click on edit. From that edit screen, you can then drag specific apps over to the multiview bar. After you're done editing, only apps you dragged over will show on the bar.
So two different things here: edit screen and the bar itself.
Hello everyone.
One question on this root process, can we install and use overclock applications such as SetCPU and TunerPro?
And if we had to, can the process be reversed and go back to stock unroot Note II?
Thank you.

1. Yes, once you're rooted, you can use apps that request root like SetCPU, Titanium Backup, AdAway, etc.
2. Yes, if you're on stock rom and recovery, you just go to SuperSu > Settings > Full Unroot.

Hey people,
How would I go about installing the XPOSED FRAMEWORK on my Sony Xperia M? I am on 4.3 15.4.A.9 or whatever it is. I have Titanium Backup Pro, have backed up. My boot loader is locked. I really can't afford for the device to brick/bootloop. Does anyone have a successful way? Because I want to tweak my System Bar as well...
Any help would be appreciated.

I've never had and problem with installing Xposed as you should do.
1) Install the Xposed .apk
2) Open Xposed and tap Framework
3) Make sure Installation Mode is on Classical (change it if it isn't)
4) Tap Install/Update, let the framework install.
5) Reboot
Latest version of xposed framework.

Never happened to me before. All I did (locked bootloader) is to have full root, install Xposed Installer, install the framework, reboot, install any module, then activate and reboot. Never had any issues.

I actually want to flash a custom rom, but I'm not able to decide, because of the large variety.. Please give me some links, guys? I'm sorry for troubling you; I feel like a pain in the neck..

Hey man,I don't think you need a custom rom,I've done everything I want without downloading a custom rom, however before doing anything make sure you have full root (the ability to edit system files not just view them), if you don't have full root anything you do will get your phone to reboot and fc,,
First of all I have cwm, deodoxed rom, unlocked bl but I mainly use them.to install mods like the m2 systemui but I think there's a way for locked bootloader and odexed by using flash gordon or something like that (the method is explained in the mod's thread).
Moreover is this my phones systemui, I've installed xposed without any problems
1. Download xposed installer
2. Pressed classic install
3. Rebooted my phone
4. Download 4 main mods
A. Gem xperia xposed
Using it for: the transparent status and navigation bar, the menu mod, the extra hidden apps button, the kitkat thing when you open an app and the navigation and status bar gets shaddy
B. Tinted status bar
C. Advanced power menu
To add a reboot button
D. Im really sorry I've forgotten its name but it's used for changing the navigation bar icons but I Uninstalled it for a simple reason, in stock xperia icons in opera mini a 4th button is added and it's hidden in other apps, but while using this mod I had to show the 4th (menu) button all the time
Ps: I dont reboot after modding systemui or luncher I simply restart it
If you like what I've done ill post the method for using gem xperia and tinted status bar
Sorry I forgot to attach these Images, this is the final result
If I helped you don't forget to press the thanks button
Thanks, all of you! I'll try redoing this after my exams...

Before doing anything
-download the ftf file of the latest software for your phone
-install flashtool and drivers.
-Enable USB debugging and
-backup your phone (a normal backup no need for root apps and all that stuff)
-Learn how to flash an ftf
If you have an unlocked bootloader all you need is cwm and a nandroid backup and of course flashtool in case anything got wrong and you messed the kernel
Don't worry, I bricked my phone many times
Okay guys, I realised what the problem was. I was using a Screen Filter, so I wasn't able to install anything. In case anyone else comes with this problem, make sure you pause the filter or blacklist the package installer (most filter apps do this on their own; mine apparently didn't :\).

What app is sending you these notifications? File Manager? App Manager?
Hold down on the notification until you see a bell and an i. Hit the i to get information.
There should be a box that says notifications on the app info... Uncheck that. Reboot the phone and see if it appears again (It shouldn't).

If you're on Lollipop:
Hold down on the notification and get the info. Make sure it's unchecked (Could be a different app sending that one).
If it's already unchecked:
Go to your settings and find "Notification Manager". Enter this and hit "App notifications". Find the app that sent the above notification and tap on it. Now you can adjust it and set priorities and whatnot. For this, block notifications from it.
This may block notifications for system updates as well, but you can still check it manually. Plus, system updates don't happen very often so not seeing it won't really matter.
EDIT: Misunderstood what you meant... I underlined what to do in your case.
Edit 2: I'm running a custom ROM and that's how I would do it in my case. I failed to remember that the stock ROM may not have added these features, so you can also do this (for sure) but going to your settings and hitting apps, then scrolling over to all. Find the app manager (or whatever app uses the same icon as the one sending you the notifications) and click on it. Now you can uncheck the displaying of notifications from it.

Read that^^^
Also, unchecking notifications from "Google Service Framework" may remove notifications for these type of updates.
If you are rooted and already have SuperSU you can download Titanium backup and uninstall any app from your phone. BE CAREFUL BECAUSE SOME APPS ARE IMPORTANT. Also, make sure you backup the file before removing it via titanium (backup through titanium backup) in case you for some reason need it back. This may or may not remove the prompt to update the app, but way back when (if I remember correctly) it did for me.

Glad to hear it! If you ever have any more questions feel free to PM me.
Also, I would highly recommend you try out a free app called "LG Tweaks Box". It'll make your phone feel so much better and have tons of customization!
I'm not sure if this even/still applies but when I was on KitKat (LG G3 2GB) I rooted my device then used either Root Explorer or ES File Explorer File Manager and looked in the data\op folder on device and deleted anything I didn't want (mainly anything carrier related which was all of the H3G_COM folder (30 items) as it was a 3 UK handset) then reflashed firmware and wiped device and I have never had any apps forced on me since, i've even disabled auto restore of apps from Google Play on first sign in so I can be choose what I wanted installed at each reflash/wipe.
Back up the OP folder first as It is handy for later if ever needed
Again not sure if this even/still applies
Hope that helps
Thanks for the reply
